5, Chapter 5 Half Therapist
Louis couldn't finish his question, he had no time to leave Emmy with a sentence "Take good care of him" and went out with Gal.
Sara Prefecture is surrounded by mountains and seas. Although it is already late autumn, the weather is not that cold. Only the sound of whistles from afar responds to the sound of the distant wind and the gloomy sky is a bit desolate.
The effect of the sleeping pill was still there, and John's nerves that were forcibly awakened by the summoning drum were still numb. After a while, he couldn't open his eyes. He fell into the soft bedding again. It was not until midnight that he was awakened by the voices and footsteps coming from downstairs.
The door of the next room was knocked quickly a few times. John heard Gal's voice and said, "I found Kelson. He is downstairs. He is seriously injured, hurry!"
John climbed up from the bed with difficulty and put on the nightgown that Emmy had placed next to him-the clothes here were so strange. He studied for a long time before he finally matched each button with the buttonhole. His fingers unconsciously rubbed the plastic buttons a few times, thinking that they were like processed, light and thin gems.
After lying for too long, the wound between his chest and abdomen was pulled by his movements. John bared his teeth, stood up slowly on the bedside table, and dragged his feet out.
The living room downstairs was already brightly lit. Looking down from the second floor, it was huge... Well, maybe it was some kind of chair? It looked soft-well, whatever it was, there was a man who looked half his life lying on it.
Emmy, who was dug up from the bed in the middle of the night, looked very serious, and she ordered Gal and Louis to go around.
Another sound of footsteps came from behind. John turned his head and found that he was a young man he had never seen before. He first showed a shy smile to himself, then slid down the railing. Obviously, the blood spreading there was too visually impactful. The young gentleman had only time to make a cat-like scream, and then turned his eyes, face down, and fell to the ground with a "bang".
John: “…”
The sound of heavy objects falling to the ground alarmed Gal and Louis. Louis pulled out a tissue, wiped the blood all over his hands hard, and said irritably: "The rookie you brought actually has the problem of blood dizziness. The temple has become more and more curious in recent years."
Gal sighed, finally having a little conscience, ran up and helped his indecently shaped apprentice to the sofa - this guy is very important, it is hard to imagine how such a petite and lovely courage and simple and miniature brain supported such a strong body.
"Louis, help me hold his wound! Hurry!" said Amy, "It's too late to send it to the hospital. What the hell is it to be caught?"
The man on the sofa looked pale, and it seemed that an angel was waving a small handkerchief to deliver him a one-way ticket to heaven. The ups and downs on his chest were almost invisible. There were a large piece of scratched by something, and there were six blood marks side by side, very neatly arranged like the teeth of a comb. The gap between each wound was extremely narrow. If it was a little deeper, I was afraid that the man would be dismantled.
"Gal! I want to purify the water! I'm right away!"
Gal trotted upstairs and took a bottle down. Emmy took it and took a look, then continued, "It's not enough, take two more bottles-Louis holds his wound and doesn't move!"
Louis's face was not very good-looking. The wounds were too dense and there was no place for him to attack. He felt like he had his fingers pinched into Kelson's flesh.
"What happened to your friend?" John asked.
"This evening, Kelson's badge suddenly became dark, and the location was in Sara. After receiving the emergency transfer order from the liaison officer, Louis and I followed the badge to find him, and found him near the mountain. But judging from the situation, it should not be where the matter happened. I think Kelson transferred himself in time after being injured. He knew that I had gone home, probably because he wanted to ask me for help, but he couldn't hold on to my house." Gal quickly said the incident, "We didn't see Difu who attacked him."
"Okay, Louis, you can let go." Amy carefully sprinkled purifying water on the man's wound. As the blood flowed to the sofa, a thick stream of black smoke rose from the wound, and the man's bones were almost exposed.
Evan, who was placed on the side, finally woke up slowly and saw this tragic scene close by, which made him faint for the second time before he could express any opinions.
"No, I can't wash it clean! Is it because the purified water is not enough? Oh my God, I have never seen such a wound." As soon as Amy reached out, Gal immediately put another bottle of purified water on his hand. "After the first aid is over, he needs to be sent to the hospital immediately. I think he is almost dying of blood loss."
At this time, Emmy's wrist was grabbed by someone. He turned around in surprise and happened to meet the dark green eyes of their mysterious guests.
John said: "Ruldan-Abyss Jackal."
Amy was stunned: "What?"
John knelt down on one knee next to him. This movement used a little bit of abdominal muscles, which almost killed him. When his knee touched the ground, there was already a thin layer of sweat on his forehead: "The scratches of the Abyss Jackal are very special. It is difficult to remove them with purification water. The amount of purification water you just poured is enough to clean the wound. If you clear it, you will have to clear his ribs."
Amy was stunned for a moment: "But...what is the Abyss Jackal?"
Gal looked back at Louis, and Louis paused: "That was a kind of ancient Difu, and the barrier never appeared again."
"What should I do now?" Emmy looked completely confused.
"I said you are really a therapist?" John looked at the so-called "best therapist" with a headache. This guy was even worse than an apprentice who had not left the temple. A hunter who had practiced pharmacology in the wild was better than falling into his hands. "The Olive Leaf Ceremony Chapter 13:6..."
"Ah!" Amy shouted briefly, "Yes, there is also a purification array!"
It was really not easy, he finally remembered it.
Emmy quickly dipped her fingers with her purified water and drew a complex magic circle symbol on the chest of the man emitting black smoke. John looked around and blinked - he didn't expect that the magic circle drawn by the healer who seemed a bit half-baked in his opinion was very standard, and even he could feel the gentle power emitted by the purified water.
Very pure healing power, surprising.
After a moment, the black smoke had been suppressed. Amy began to sing in a word that no one could understand. His voice was deeper than the female voice and softer than the male voice. It sounded as if it were to calm people down. The magic circle painted on the injured man's chest began to emit a milky white halo. The black gas on the wound finally retreated at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the blood stopped temporarily.
John relaxed, and then leaned sideways on the soft "chair" in his knees. He turned his head and glanced at Amy. Suddenly, he felt that this half-male and unfamiliar guy was much more pleasing to the eyes.
A talented therapist, he thought, must be a soft and powerful person inside.
The rest of the work is routine treatment, wound suture, medication and bandaging.
For most of the night, the injured man's life was saved. Gar and the others contacted the temple hospital. Before dawn, an ambulance drove over and dragged the man who was still unconscious and pulled him away.
"Oh! Look! That white bread will run by itself!" John stood at the window and watched the ambulance leave, opening his eyes wide.
Emmy yawned a big yawn and patted him on the shoulder: "Dear, we usually call it an ambulance."
"Car?" John looked at him blankly, "Why do you want to make the car like bread? What's the thing pulling the car? Some kind of invisible creature?"
Gal wiped his face and said casually: "It's the engine."
After seeing John's expression in a more confused manner, he had to explain in a striking way: "It's...it's just a machine that provides energy through some way to make the car run."
"Wow..." This mysterious sword-holding priest from unknown era tried to stick his head out of the window, but unfortunately it was blocked by transparent glass. He patted his whole handsome face on the window, and said yearning like a mentally retarded child, "It runs so fast - what is this, a transparent wall? It looks like nothing! It's amazing!"
"No! No - Mr. Smith, he is not as strong as you think, you can't smash it with your fists!" Gal rushed over and grabbed the man who was trying to smash the glass of his window.
Well, as Emmy said, the curiosity of this... priest seemed to be so much too far.
This situation was even more obvious during breakfast. Mr. Priest obviously could not understand the principle of the refrigerator. He watched Emmy take out a large bucket of milk from inside, and was startled by the cold air coming out of it. He took two steps back vigilantly, but soon, he came back like a curious big cat.
"Mr. Smith, that's just a food storage cabinet that is easily deteriorated, also called a refrigerator. No... there is no magic circle inside, so you don't have to put your head in!"
"And that's a microwave oven, which heats food, will cook you in a few minutes, don't put your hands in it! No... don't turn it over, you can't find that little flame! Ah! Amy stops him! The eggs will explode when heated inside!"
After some twists and turns, John finally sat honestly next to the dining table. His movements still didn't look very smooth due to injury, but this did not hinder his enthusiasm for exploration and research. Even if he was pressed on the chair by Gal, he was still like a child with ADHD with nails on his butt.
"You mean, are all the people here living in such an interesting house?"
Obviously, in front of freshness, the shock and anxiety that this guy had disappeared when he received the newspaper yesterday - which strange era was able to cultivate such a heartless priest?
"Is this... porcelain?" The priest looked at the plate with fried eggs and bread slices in front of him, "I thought this precious vessel from the ancient East would only be used in formal occasions."
"No." Emmy said vaguely with a sausage stuffed in her mouth, "I'm afraid it's local and not precious. We eat with it every day - did you notice yesterday that the toilet is also porcelain."
John widened his eyes, and Gal hurriedly stuffed a pair of tableware into his hand, in case the priest said something that would hinder his appetite, such as "Your delicate butts/tights, can actually make toilets with luxury goods."
Fortunately, after picking up the knife and fork, John became completely quiet. His table manners were perfect-except for the butter in the small plastic box.
"Mr. Smith, were you a healer before you became a priest?" Louis asked.
"John." John chewed slowly and ate an unusually soft bread. He couldn't taste what was inside, but the taste was really good. "No, I'm a hunter."
"But you know the Olive Leaf Encyclopedia," said Louis, "very few people can master it, and only top therapists usually learn it."
Emmy's expression was dreamy: "Lord Louis said I was a top therapist... Oh my God, I must be dreaming, Gal, hurry up, pinch yourself and tell me this is true!"
Gal turned a deaf ear and dragged the chair to the side, indicating that he was drawing a clear line with the fool.
"I learned a little bit." John shrugged, "But it's a pity that becoming a therapist requires a certain talent, and learning alone is not possible. I have tried to become a therapist, and even went to the Temple Hospital for an internship for a day after finishing the basics."
Louis: "One day?"
