Chapter five hundred and forty fourth accidental injury
In the rift, Lancelo climbed down carefully against the cliff, while Little Isa lay on his back, his hands tightly surrounding his neck.
Lancelo is not a demon lord, nor a god, so he does not have an emblem that symbolizes his identity. If you want those giant zombies to obey him, you must personally sign the obelisk. However, as a living creature, walking into a group of undead giants is a complete act of suicide, and his skills of concentrating breathing and storing energy may not be useful - those are used to deal with monks of the same realm. Who knows how zombies who don’t even have consciousness sense the living person?
Fortunately, there is a very special existence among the partners, that is, Isa. The vampire is an undead with a very high rank. Existence alone is enough to shock most undead creatures. Although Isa may not be as strong as any giant zombie below, her vampire aura will not be discounted. Lancelo carried her on his back, as if he was wearing a cloak that was invisible to the undead creatures, making the zombies ignore his existence.
The thick layer of fog was about to enter below, and Lancelo took a deep breath. To be safe, he still used all the hidden aura techniques he mastered, and his figure immediately submerged in the fog.
Although the visibility in the fog was very low, Lancelo came here in person this time, gravity was the best guide, and his spiritual sense could still sense the terrain conditions within a small range. A few minutes later, he successfully passed through the fog, and his vision returned to clear. The hundreds of giant zombies below seemed to hear something, and turned around and looked at him.
This was the first time that Lancelo had experienced this situation of being stared at by a large group of corpses. He felt that his hair was about to fall off. If it weren't for the constant suppression of martial arts, his heartbeat would have shaken the little vampire on his back. He was ready. Once the zombies bent down to pick up stones, he would crawl up as fast as possible like a frightened spider.
"Brother, don't be nervous, it's okay." Little Isa's soft voice rang in his ears, "With me here, those idiots and zombies won't attack you..."
Lancelo did not dare to vent his anger, so he could only nod his head silently. The zombies did not take any action as Little Isha said, but just stood there in a daze and saluted the two of them.
So they continued to descend and soon stepped on the cold rocks at the bottom of the valley. This place seemed to have been a wide dark river bed, but the summer that never returned and the endless cold winter completely changed the situation here. The giant zombies seemed to have lost interest in them and returned to standing and dazed.
Out of caution, Lancelo still walked on the edge of the valley and did not directly enter the standing corpses. The giant zombies formed a surreal forest of death like giant trees. Although they had completely held their breath, the unique smell of death and decay continued to drill into Lancelo's nose, reminding him that he was in an out of place.
After walking for about half a mile in fear, the two finally arrived in front of the obelisk. Another corpse had just been awakened, its head was hanging upside down on its chest, and only three fingers wide flesh left on its neck connected its head to its body. One of the two eyes rolled back and forth in its eye sockets, and the other stared at the two people who were walking without any attention.
The newly resurrected zombie giant walked straight past them without taking any action. Lancelo breathed a sigh of relief, stepped to the obelisk, and took out a piece of parchment from his arms. The paper was painted with complex magic runes, which were quite similar to the one on the obelisk in front of him, but there were slight differences in some details.
This parchment was drawn by Caralin under the guidance of Tijana, and Lancelo's task was to draw the gourds and change the runes on the obelisk into the style on the parchment.
Compared with the scholar's original conception, Tijana perfected many details and added two very important changes: first, they no longer completely erase Okus' evil emblem, but instead made the affected undead creatures regard anything related to the Immortal Maharaja as mortal enemies through a special transposition rune.
If an Okus priest, or creature carrying objects related to Okus, these giant zombies will attack desperately. Even if they are torn to pieces, each smuggle will continue to attack until the energy that maintains their activity is completely exhausted, and no one can find any useful information from the remaining corpses.
Another change is that when establishing the master, it does not use its real name, but refers to Lancelo's identity with a string of obscure titles. In this way, even if the Immortal Maharaja (or other interested guys) have luckily figured out what was happening to these zombies, they cannot determine Lancelo's identity from the inexplicable titles.
"Oasis Castle, Mogrondal and Paskole's savior, the protector of the swearing demon, the knight in the abyss..."
A green sword light erupted from Lancelo's hand, and carved the title he had temporarily come up with on the stone tablet. After the completion, he carved a circle of complex patterns outside the evil emblem of Okus, as well as several other places that needed modification according to the pattern on the parchment.
He took out a beautiful black opal and inlaid it in a newly chiseled hole on the back of the obelisk. Then he reached out and patted Little Isha's head behind him, indicating that her business would be done soon.
Lancelo straightened his body, waved his arm in a special way, and recited a spell with very strange tone and rhythm. He practiced these movements repeatedly before he came down until Caralin felt impeccable. At the last syllable exit, the black opal suddenly lit up, and then the entire obelisk began to flash with dazzling purple light rhythmically.
Lancelo immediately moved away at the fastest speed, and in a few seconds the negative energy pulse was about to explode, which was not good for the health of a living person. In just a few breaths, he rushed more than a hundred feet away with Little Isha on his back, and the first giant zombie he passed by did not even complete the turn.
Every time the obelisk flashed, it became brighter. When it reached a certain limit, a purple aperture suddenly spread around. This pulse of negative energy swept harmlessly across all the undead creatures present, but hitting Lancelo was like a heavy hammer. Even with the protective Qingyuan sword shield, the strong impact force still overturned him to the ground, and the girl behind him was thrown out.
"Little Isa!" Lancelo stood up with a beautiful roll as soon as he fell to the ground, then immediately ran to his companion and helped her up, asking with concern, "Are you okay?"
