Chapter 605 Goodbye

Mogrondal.

The halfling bartender widened his eyes in surprise and looked at the team entering the door. The group seemed to want to keep a low profile as much as possible, all wearing a monk-like hood and cloak, but he immediately recognized the leading human knight. After all, the other party's last visit left a deep impression on him, and the characters who could do this were very rare.

The first floor of Lazaka's Tears is a restaurant and a bar. As a well-received hotel in the city, it is the most lively moment of the day. Lancelo noticed the first thing he had to do was a group of tall, thin, and tawny guards, as they were looking at themselves with a malicious look, with their palms resting on the beautiful silver sword around their waists.

Lancelo knew that it was a Gith, a race with deep hatred for the sucking monsters, and an ancient (but not always strictly abide by) covenant with the Red Dragon. When I came last time, the guards of this hotel were still a group of Mezelos demons. I have to admit that compared to the neutral demons who looked like humanoid insects, the Gith people looked much more pleasing to them.

The dining table was filled with guests, most of whom were travelers visiting the place from other levels or other planes - merchants, envoys, wizards, adventurers. They wore silk, leather or metal clothes, and their bodies emitted a variety of strange smells (some were not in harmony with the atmosphere of the restaurant). These people were also looking at their group who had just come in, but they were not so blatant.

"What a rare guest, Sir Lancelot." The halfling smiled at the human knight who walked to the bar, "Why, come back and declare your dominance? It's really a coincidence. The current consul is..."

"I didn't come for that, otherwise I wouldn't have worn this one." Lancelo pulled the hood on his head. "Dear Mr. Pacos, I'm so glad to see your store's business booming, but I have a bigger business to talk to you..."

"I can't hear it wrong, right? A business proposal, from you?" Pacos raised his eyebrows with an exaggerated expression, but there was no smile in his eyes. "Can you tell me what it is about first?"

"We just returned from the Ice Iceland." Lancelo opened his mouth, but no one could hear his voice except the halfling in front of him. "Have you heard what happened there not long ago?"

"Ah...ha!" Pacos rang a special bell under the bar. Another halfling with red hair and a dull face immediately came out of a small door behind him. "Dear Redragon, I need to talk to these gentlemen upstairs. Can you help stand behind the bar for a while? It's a very simple job, just put away the coins thrown by customers, and don't put on that gloomy face. Aren't you talking to food? Remember!"

"That Redragon..." Lancelo couldn't help asking when he followed the halfling to the second floor, "Is it the same as you..."

"In my opinion, he is just a fool who just finished gnawing his eggshell." Pacos stood in front of his office door, pronounced a spell in a strange language, then reached out and poked the door a few times. The door creaked and opened under his movements, "Great, I'm not wrong this time..."

"What else would happen?" Bruto couldn't help asking, "Something bad, I guess?"

"Nothing, just some harmless anti-theft measures help me recall the correct way to open the door." The halfling happily walked towards the huge desk in the center of the room, "Please come in, my friends, bring them along."

When closing the door, Lancelo noticed that there was no combustible material in the corridor, and the stone ceiling was still roasted black with high temperatures.

"It must be admitted that I never expected that we would talk here again." Pacos climbed onto the comfortable high-back chair. "The last time you parted, you were going to Android Linna, right? The story from that plane later made my chin almost dislocate. The warriors who died countless centuries ago, the succubus warrior who rebelled against nature, and the mother of the demon who secretly colluded with Battz... I am very curious about what role you played in those events..."

“We just…”

"No, don't explain to me, this is the case with Mogrondal. No matter what happens in the abyss, the news will definitely come here - where did the Demon Prince and the Lord of the Undead fight a battle, who was the father of the Succubus Queen's child last month, and a new Abyss Lord was born at a certain level, and so on. But to figure out everything clearly, it's definitely a self-inflicted effort, so I ignore it most of the time, or just laugh it off."

While talking, the halfling opened a cabinet at the bottom of the table, took out a pile of bottles and jars from it, and then began to skillfully mix the wine (Lanslow did not have such treatment when he came last time). He quickly prepared six glasses of wine and grinned at everyone:

"Try it, this is a new recipe I just developed recently. The base wine uses top brandy from Shendiravier. Those succubus is indeed very professional in physical enjoyment, but the lighter color is alcohol-free. Miss Elizabeth, a lady like you who is underage can only drink this." The halfling pushed the glass at everyone and leaned back to the back of the chair. "When it comes, where is the talking skeleton? And my 'competent' who is very knowledgeable about food? If you tell me they died in an adventure, I will be heartbroken."

"They are fine, they just left this plane." Lancelo shook his head gently, "Back to our original topic, considering your identity, the name Slawnir must be familiar to you, right?"

"I knew you would mention that scum to me." Pacos shrugged and rolled his eyes at the same time. "Although everyone knows that the intelligence of the White Dragon is no different from that of a beast, whenever I think of the idiot who barked under the demon's crotch, I was so angry that I wanted to pull my ears off. I also knew that the battle that happened in front of the Glacier Fortress a week ago, when the guy ran away, he showed the stupidity of the White Dragon fighting to the end. It was really regrettable."
