8. Inflammation(1/2)

Dongzhi and Miao Jing are not on the way, but sometimes Miao Jing doesn’t make an appointment with other companions. They will walk together for a while and then separate at the intersection.

Like now, two people buy water and push bicycles.

There is a parking lot downstairs of the second-year high school teaching building, with limited locations. Many people park their bicycles outside the school. The convenience store is neatly arranged, and there are bicycles in a row.

Miao Jing first unlocked his pink "little sheep" and pushed the cart to wait for Dongzhi. Dongzhi's bicycle was dark blue, and Miao Jing looked at it with a smile: "Oh, Xiaohong."

Dongzhi pulled the corner of his mouth and pushed her "Xiaohong" and Miao Jing side by side: "Let's go."

There is traffic around me, and unless my home is close, few people don’t ride bicycles.

When we arrived at the first fork in the road, we should walk in the path. Miao Jing was not satisfied with the chat and could only stop.

"I'm leaving."

Dongzhi nodded, "Okay."

Miao Jing stepped on the bicycle, rode out for a while, and turned around and waved at her, "Be careful on the road--"

Dongzhi waited for her back to be far away and couldn't see it before riding on the bike. As soon as she stepped on her feet, she suddenly felt something was wrong. The tires shook and shook, as if the places passing by were full of pits.

Dongzhi got out of the car and checked it and the tires were flat. The tire repairer had already closed the stall. Looking around, she had a headache.

I can only push the bicycle and walk slowly.

The further away from the school, the more sparse the crowds after school, the surrounding shops are almost closed, and the yellow street lights fall on the ground.

After passing the second intersection, there was a vague sound of talking behind him.

Dongzhi looked back and saw a group of boys playing while walking.

They were not far away, and I don’t know when they began to appear behind her. On this quiet road, their jokes were not very loud, but they had a sense of panic.

The road ahead became narrower and narrower, and the street lights were broken and became much darker.

The voice behind them gradually became closer and they seemed to have accelerated their walking speed.

Dongzhi didn't want to hear it, but the surroundings were too quiet, and she could hear every word they said clearly.

"Yangfei, where is your pack of cigarettes in the afternoon?"

"At Lao Liu's side, ask him."

"I didn't take it. Go to your mom, don't flip my bag!"

“…”

"Don't fly up?"

"Wait a moment."

"What are you waiting for? Go straight over, can she still run?"

"That's it..."

Dongzhi held the handlebar tightly. The rear tire was broken and he forced himself to ride the bike. The wheel rim pressed on the ground and made a "clang" sound, and the tire would only break more thoroughly.

Especially, if she showed a little fear, her panic and fear would all turn into a fun that made them laugh.

It's okay. Don't be afraid.

She took a deep breath.

I made mental preparations the day when I threw Zheng Yangfei's backpack. They could pinch soft persimmons, and soft persimmons could also make him look dirty.

Dongzhi readjusted his pace and walked forward while reciting English words.

After memorizing the third word, the sound of a wheel running over the ground sounded behind her. Then, with a "crunch" sound, a bicycle suddenly appeared and stopped beside her.

Dongzhi subconsciously hid to the side, turned his head and saw the cyclist laughing at her: "Hi."

It's Wen Cen.

Seeing the person clearly, her face calmed down and she replied softly: "...Hi."

Wen Cen looked at her, then looked at her car, "Is it broken?"

She nodded.

"This point..." He looked around and muttered, "There is no place to repair it."

I didn't expect to meet him. I didn't know him well, so Dongzhi didn't know what to say for a moment.

Wen Cen said, "In this way, I know the owner of a bookstore in front. I checked if the door was closed. I parked the car in his store and repaired it tomorrow."

He got off the bicycle, his posture was no stranger, as if he was very familiar with it, and pushed it with her.

Dong Zhi was a little stunned, and Wen Cen urged: "Why are you standing there? The wind is so cold, you want to freeze me to death?"

"No." She came to her senses, lowered her head, pushed the cart and followed, and walked beside him.

Wen Cen talked, pulling from the sky to the ground, from the dream of yesterday to the meal today, Dong Zhi responded "yes" and "oh", but he didn't feel perfunctory, and he kept talking alone.

When he arrived at the bookstore that Wen Cen mentioned, the store door was closed, and it was about to close. Wen Cen stopped the car and said, "You are waiting for me here." He pushed Dongzhi's car and ran to the bookstore.

Dongzhi was guarding his bicycle.

Wen Cen said something to the boss. Two minutes later, he ran back and reached out: "Key."

She took out the key from her pocket and handed it to him. He took it, ran back to the store, pushed her car to the corner of the bookstore, and parked it. After locking it, the boss took a photo with his cell phone, he thanked him a few times, took the key back to her, and gave it to her.

"I have agreed with the boss that you will go and push it after school tomorrow at noon! If I hadn't come here two days ago and bought two full sets of comics, the boss might not have been willing to let him go..."

Wen Cen glanced back. Under the tree not far away, a group of boys were talking, looking here from time to time. He frowned and returned to his silence in a flash, "Let's go, I'll take you back. Where are you living in?"

Dongzhi stared at him blankly.

"What a god?" He waved his hand in front of her, stepped into the car, left his head behind, and "Come up."

Dongzhi's eyes fell on the back seat of his car, "This..."

"Just stand up, it's okay. You grab my shoulders and won't fall down. I ride very steadily."

His bicycle is similar to Miao Jing's style, "Little Lamb" and the rear seat is low.

Dongzhi held his shoulder and stood in the back seat. His vision was rising. He lowered his head and raised his head and could pull the leaves hanging from the branches with one hand.

"Hold my shoulders," he said.

Dong Zhi silently, holding his shoulders tightly with both hands.

"Stand firmly!"

His smile sounded, and the car rushed forward with a "sudden" sound.

...

Boys are stronger than girls, and Wen Cen is carrying her, and she doesn't look tired at all when she pedals.

"How did you mess with them?" Wen Cen asked.

"Hmm?" The wind blew a little noise in his ears. Dong Zhi realized it and heard it clearly. "I threw away his bag." He paused, "Do you know them?"

Wen Cen smiled, "I've seen basketball on the court. But I just came here and played with them twice. Are they Zheng Yangfei and others? Why did you throw his bag? Why did he offend you?"

“…”

"Don't want to say it? OK. Anyway, he looks like a person who hates dogs, and he doesn't look like a good person."

Dongzhi lowered his eyes and could only see the top of his head. His hair was very soft and a little messed up by the wind.

"He said something very bad to me." She said a few seconds later.

"That's it? That's his."

Passing by a small earth pit, Wen Cen didn't see clearly, and the car just ran over and shook it.

Dongzhi asked: "Are you here to help me with the help?"

"It doesn't count." Wen Cen said, "You and Miao Jing were at the intersection in front. I saw that your car seemed to be broken. I originally wanted to come and ask, but I was buying things. After buying them, you disappeared. I saw Zheng Yangfei and his group of people. I didn't expect you to be here too. I saw that they seemed to be following you, so I came over."

I'm sorry for the winter.

"Hey, I have gum in my pocket, grape-flavored, do you eat it? I'll get it for you."

Wen Cen said, letting go of one hand to get out his pocket.

The car swayed.

Dongzhi almost couldn't stand steadily, and was so scared that he grabbed his shoulders, "I'll do it! I'll do it..."

Wen Cen hurriedly held the handlebars in both hands and slowed down, "Oh, then you can dig it, I'll ride it slowly."

Dongzhi bent his knees slightly, reached into his jacket pocket, and felt a grape-scented chewing gum. He pulled out a piece and took off the silver-white tin foil halfway. She paused, "Do you want it?"

Wen Cen rode his bike and opened his mouth in the wind: "Ah——"

Dongzhi peeled the paper and handed the chewing gum to his mouth. He took it to eat it before she peeled the second piece for herself.

Wen Cen took Dongzhi to her house near her house, and she got off his bicycle when she arrived at the intersection.

The moment he landed, Dongzhi thanked him: "Thank you."

He was not polite, just laughed and didn't say anything.
