Chapter 500: Turning on Sand Control

In that office, the two talked for more than half an hour.

Among them, it involves the equity adjustment of some enterprises and projects.

According to the boss's suggestion, Donghua will cooperate in depth with relevant state-owned enterprises, including Hualco Group's participation in Huazhou's electrolytic aluminum plant in Panshan.

What does it mean to be held back and not allowed to move forward?

At first, Chen Lidong arranged for Wang Zhiyong to rush to cooperate with China Aluminum, but the other party did not appreciate it. Now that Donghua's electrolytic aluminum has been put into production, he has come to pick peaches again.

Just pick it, cooperation is the only way to achieve win-win results.

In addition, there is another thing that has been agreed upon, which is to further open the Donghua Supercomputing Center.

Chen Lidong promised that within five years, Donghua Supercomputing Center will build dozens of sub-centers, which will be jointly built by Donghua and various universities and scientific research institutions in China.

At that time, universities and research institutions will lead scientific research projects, and Donghua Supercomputing Center will send staff to be responsible for operation.

As for the huge costs consumed by supercomputing operations, a three-one approach will be used to implement it, that is, the state will allocate some, the project team will raise some on its own, and Donghua will support some.

For projects that need Donghua's support, you must submit an application to Donghua Technology. If Donghua likes it, not only will you not have to pay, but you will also receive a reward.

If you don’t want Donghua to participate, the research team can apply for computing power from the supercomputing center as long as they pay the corresponding fee.

After coming out of the palace, Chen Lidong was still mumbling a few words:

Follow the laws and regulations, and be upright.

Ever since the rehabilitation center was sealed, he had been looking forward to this visit.

The initial calculation was: I want to use the income generated by the center to control deserts and contribute 100 million acres of arable land to the country. So bosses, please don’t let others mess with me and protect me quickly.

Now, I have seen and seen, and the boss said that we must abide by the laws and regulations, and we must be upright.

Chen Lidong groaned in his heart and complained about this person: You just don't want to get involved.

I understand the meaning of both words, and I often talk about them and use them in the Ministry of Education.

Whenever someone comes to intercede, makes a move, or makes a small report, Chen Lidong tells them to follow the rules.

The meaning behind following the rules is that I don't want to meddle in other people's business.

As the old saying goes: meddle in other people's business.

If you control too much, you will get into trouble.

Chen Lidong really wanted to say something to the boss: I am an upright ghost. If I can follow the rules, why do I need a leader?

But thinking about it on the other hand, since we must abide by the law, it means that this matter must be put on the table, and the other party cannot do anything wrong.

Then what needs to be done next is for Donghua and the Shanghai Stock Exchange to deduct legal regulations and reason.

If you can deduct legal provisions and be reasonable, what else is there to fear?

Wanting to understand this, Chen Lidong dialed the number of the legal director of the group: "Jiaqi, follow your plan and figure out the rehabilitation center matter, review it, and file a complaint together.

I will arrange for Jiayin to cooperate with you and help you collect evidence abroad.

We at Donghua don’t cause trouble, nor are we afraid of it.

Now that you've been bullied to the point of being bullied, let's have a fair fight with the other person.

Next, let your men perform well."

Wang Jiaqi has a nickname: Donghua Pizza Hut.

He almost never loses a lawsuit against the group.

Since the rehabilitation center was sealed, he has been holding back his energy to compete with the relevant departments of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

As for this being a people's complaint against an official?

Donghua has often been involved in lawsuits with government departments.

The second call was to Valcke.

Valk is also one of the "first-born" mechanical servants. He spends most of his time with Andre as his assistant.

But in the past two years, I have also begun to independently undertake tasks assigned by my boss.

After something happened at Donghua Rehabilitation Center, Chen Lidong asked him to investigate a businessman named Smith.

This Smith had lived in Shanghai for a long time. He was an equipment supplier and had close business dealings with Baogang.

Smith's company is called Yili Automation Equipment Company, and its headquarters is in San Francisco.

Valcke quickly found Smith's personal information and discovered his whereabouts.

Chen Lidong told Valcke: "Let's get in touch with that Smith and ask him to explain clearly what happened to that bottle of empowering wine. It would be better if he could come to China to help us provide evidence."

The third call was made to Zhou Jinhao, urging the start of the 20,000-acre desertification control project.

What are the steps to transform the desert?

At present, some advanced desert control units or individuals have also summarized their experiences. Some said that five links should be grasped, and some said the "eight-step desert control method".

Zhou Jinhao and his team's sand control steps are very simple, even rough.

They do this in three steps:

The first step is to level the desert.

The second step is to build a road network.

The third step is to mix the glue.

Like other deserts, the Mu Us Desert near Tuocheng has ups and downs, so the dunes need to be bulldozed first.

Bulldozing the sand is all done mechanically, so theoretically it shouldn't take long.

But these sandy lands still had production activities a few years or more than ten years ago.

Among them are roads swallowed up by sand, dead poplar trees, residential buildings standing in the wind and sand, and tombs that cannot be found in the right location.

When encountering these, it takes a lot of effort to decide whether to retain or clear them.

Some people say that those trees that are still alive should be preserved.

Some people also suggested that the hard roadbed should be used as much as possible.

The most troublesome thing is the tombs. If there is no owner, it is easy to tell. If there is an owner, you have to ask the government to come forward and pay a relocation fee to move the bones out.

However, in order to facilitate mechanized operations, Zhou Jinhao and the others did not listen to anyone’s opinions and directly came to my site to make the decision:

Trees were dug out, roads were hollowed out, and nothing in the way was left intact.

These tasks have been completed.

Twenty thousand acres of land, approximately 13 square kilometers.

The road network is planned as four horizontal and three vertical.

Along with the road, green belts, water supply pipes, open drainage channels and other facilities are built; around the plot, there is a windbreak zone up to 30 meters wide.

Grass grids are used to fix the sand in the windbreak zone, and Amorpha purpurea is being planted on the edge.

What is circled by the road network is cultivated land. To be precise, desert becomes cultivated land.

More than a dozen large machines drove to the smoothed sand, and the rake teeth of the sand control machine rolled up about 30 centimeters of sand and sent it into the mixing chamber.

Then, the area where the sand was raked away was covered with a layer of geotextile.

At this time, the spray system in the mixing chamber starts.

Water containing carboxymethyl cellulose, phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and other chemicals that adjust pH is injected into the mixing chamber.

After the sand and fertilizer water are mixed, they pass through a conveyor belt and are evenly kneaded during the transportation process. Finally, they are sprayed onto the geotextile from the outlet and are flattened. The process of water-retaining and bonding of the sand and soil is completed.

Direct seeding next!

According to Ren Xueqiang’s plan, soybeans and pasture will be mainly grown in this once barren land.

Soybeans are water-loving and drought-tolerant plants. They are relatively drought-tolerant during the seedling stage and require sufficient water during the flowering and scab stages.

A number of drought-tolerant varieties have also been selected for pasture, including alfalfa and ryegrass.

Soybeans are planted using a soybean seeder specially developed by Zhou Jinhao.

In front is a crawler tractor used for traction, which also uses super batteries for power.

It tows a 40-row heavy-duty soybean seeder with a width of 16 meters. It can dig furrows, raise ridges, sow seeds, apply fertilizer and compact them all in one go.

Its sowing speed is 200 acres per hour.

Twenty thousand acres of land, excluding roads, forest belts and other infrastructure, the actual sown area is only 15,000 acres.

If all soybeans are planted, it only takes a week to use this seeder.

Excluding equipment depreciation, the cost is only the wages of two employees and electricity bills. This is the key to cost control in mechanized farms.

These processes sound simple, but the actual cost of transforming the desert is huge.

Building roads, providing electricity, providing water, and planting windbreaks are equivalent to spreading money on the ground.

There is also carboxymethylcellulose, which is used as a "water-retaining adhesive", with a market price of 8,000 to 10,000 yuan per ton.

Each acre of desert needs to be added with 200 kilograms, which is 1,600 yuan.

However, Zhou Jinhao consulted engineers from Sanyou Alkali Industry and found that the process of this cellulose is not complicated.

The main raw materials are caustic soda and cotton.

Cotton is used to extract plant cellulose, and plant cellulose can also be provided by straw and wood.

Straw is such a good thing, and it has a new use.

In this way, there is room for cost reduction.

How to do it?

Of course, we invested in and built a factory in Binhai County, using local rice straw and caustic soda provided by Sanyou to produce carboxymethyl cellulose ourselves.

This is the basic path for industry to feed back agriculture.
