Chapter 1058 Entering Malacca

On June 17, 1943, the Chinese Western Fleet officially entered the Strait of Malacca via Andaman.

On the same day, the South China Sea Fleet, which had just been formed but had not yet fully formed its combat effectiveness, also sailed south from the Zhongsha Islands.

Two fleets, two super aircraft carrier battle groups, and hundreds of warships entered the southern waters at the same time and will cooperate with the army to attack the Malay region.

At the same time as the navy was operating, the army also sent several armies south from the Malay Peninsula to take charge of the land battle. Their ultimate goal was the same as that of the navy-Japanese Field Marshal Juichi Terauchi's Southern Army Headquarters in Singapore.

After entering the Strait of Malacca, the Western Fleet was frantically blocked by the remaining forces of the Japanese navy.

Kaitian torpedoes, suicide attack gunboats, etc. appeared one after another in front of the Dianqian aircraft carrier battle group.

The Japanese navy was left with its last breath, and their attack was frantic but ineffective.

China's five major fleets developed and strengthened themselves during the war, and gradually took on the outline of a modern navy.

In the face of a semi-modern navy, all Japanese resistance was in vain.

On June 17th and June 18th, the fighting in the strait was the most intense.

The crazy Japanese rushed out from the land and the bay, driving all kinds of old warships filled with explosives and rushed towards the Chinese Western Fleet.

Carrier-based helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft patrol around the aircraft carrier battle group around the clock, and destroyers and frigates have entered the highest combat readiness level.

Naval officers and soldiers were on full alert, turning wave after wave of suicide attacks into fireworks across the strait.

Fleet Commander Pan Changming stared sternly at the front of the strait. The destroyers on the periphery sank two more Japanese gunboats. Japan should have calmed down a bit.

We are about to reach Kuala Lumpur and officially enter the narrowest part of the strait.

Pan Changming withdrew his gaze and said to the combat staff:

"All fighter-bombers took off immediately to bomb Japanese military facilities in and outside Kuala Lumpur!"

In order to open up the Strait of Malacca, the first thing that needs to be done is to eliminate the Japanese forces on both sides of the Strait.

The two main forces of Japan's Southern Army were surrounded in the Indochina Peninsula. Yamashita Tombumi's 25th Army fought hard with MacArthur, and Terauchi Juichi's troops were appallingly small.

The Allies are advancing with great success, and no one believes in the so-called Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.

More and more servants defected or fled. Every time a Japanese soldier died on the battlefield, the strength in Terauchi's hand was reduced.

Without any external support, the Southern Army made a final and fearless resistance.

During the march of the Western Fleet, some local rebels controlled by the Military Intelligence Bureau provided intelligence on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

With the support of intelligence, the fighter-bombers taking off from the Yunnan-Guizhou super aircraft carrier were able to accurately strike Japanese military facilities.

"Whoosh whoosh..."

The sound made by the steam catapult makes people feel happy. The sound represents absolute power and the right to speak.

50 fighter-bombers quickly took off, swooping towards Kuala Lumpur like hunting goshawks.

The rebels hiding in the jungles on both sides of the Taiwan Strait shouted long live when they saw this. Their most painful and difficult days were finally over.

When the Japanese saw this, they sighed, and a wave of powerlessness rushed from the soles of their feet to their foreheads.

Not long after, a Japanese brigade inside and outside Kuala Lumpur suffered heavy losses from air attacks.

Because of the harassment and sabotage by local resistance forces, the Japanese were struggling to move forward.

The dissatisfied group was quickly divided and surrounded by more than a dozen groups of rebels. After dark, they would be cannibalized bit by bit by the locals.

After eliminating threats on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the aircraft carrier battle group continued to move forward.

On June 19, 1943, the Western Fleet arrived off the coast of Singapore.

Before the warship entered this sea area, the naval aviation had conducted a complete and thorough bombing of the detected targets.

Five miles away is Singapore, a city that developed by sea.

There used to be a large number of Chinese and Europeans in this city, who were engaged in various trades, making the city grow from small to large, from barren to prosperous.

After the outbreak of the Pacific War, Yamashita Tombumi, known as the Malayan Tiger, easily captured Singapore and surrounded and annihilated more than 200,000 British, Dutch, American and other coalition forces in the surrounding areas.

After the Japanese occupied Singapore, they arrested and massacred Chinese people!

The local people and European and American business people also had a difficult time after the Japanese occupied Singapore, but they were not ruthlessly captured and massacred by the Japanese army like the Chinese.

On the Chinese battlefield, the Japanese lost consecutive battles and finally had to vent their anger on the overseas Chinese.

Especially those overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia who had publicly supported their motherland's war of resistance, their properties were taken away by the Japanese, and their families were destroyed.

Countless overseas Chinese were captured by the Japanese Southern Army and worked as laborers in docks, mines and even on the front lines.

The number of overseas Chinese who can live peacefully in Singapore is less than 1/10 of the total number.

And the culprit of all this is the ruthless Japanese Southern Army.

In the past, the Malay region was beyond reach, and compatriots who were suffering could not receive timely relief and support.

Now the Western Fleet sailed directly to the Strait of Malacca and came to Juichi Terauchi. It was another moment of blood debt repayment.

"Commander, the army has passed Songkhla." The combat staff reported to Fleet Commander Pan Chang**:

"It will take about 5 days to reach the Singapore area. The Southern Expeditionary Army Headquarters hopes that we will not attack rashly and use this time to block the strait!"

"When the army troops arrive, we will cooperate with the sea and land to attack Singapore in one fell swoop and capture the Southern Army Commander Juichi Terauchi alive!"

The Western Fleet has two brigades of marines, and intelligence shows that the Japanese army only has one and a half regiments in the Singapore area.

The Western Fleet has air and sea control, as well as superior strength and firepower. Pan Changming cannot wait another five days. He must take revenge as early as possible, otherwise it will not be happy.

"Is the battle plan I prepared at the staff office ready?"

Pan Changming was still looking in the direction of Singapore, exuding a cold temperament.

Knowing that the commander could not wait any longer, the combat staff replied:

"The plan has been made and distributed to all units!"

"The Marines are ready!"

The corners of Pan Changming's mouth turned up slightly, and he was very satisfied with the staff officer's answer.

"Submit the battle plan to the Southern Expedition Army Headquarters!"

"Get ready to land in Singapore at dawn tomorrow and meet Juichi in the temple!"

"yes!!!"

The order was quickly passed to the squadron, and the naval officers and soldiers of the Western Fleet became excited again.

The Eastern battlefield is about to usher in the final complete victory. As soldiers, if they fail to make contributions in this war and do not even have the capital to brag to their grandchildren in the future, their military careers are destined to be regretful.
