Chapter 1,628 Nine-story Demon Tower

This blue and white jade pot spring bottle from Yuxi kiln is 25.6cm high, 6.7cm in diameter, and 9.5cm in foot diameter.

The bottle has a slight mouth, a thin neck, a drooping belly, and a ring foot.

The whole body is covered with green and yellow glaze, and the outer wall is painted with blue and white banana leaves, lotus petals, and fish and algae patterns.

The blue and white styles of Yuxi Kiln in the Yuan Dynasty were significantly different from those of Jingzhen.

The blue and white utensils of Yuxi kiln are still a bit worse than those of Jingzhen’s blue and white utensils.

For example, the blue and white blue and white blue kilns have a crispy body, yellowed glaze color, dark blue and white tones, and a strong glaze texture.

Of course, there are disadvantages, and there are also some.

For example, the blue and white color of such a bottle is not as good as that of Jingzhen blue and white, but the painting techniques are natural and smooth, and the patterns are vividly expressed in just a few strokes.

Just this point shows a certain lively artistic effect.

This also fully reflects the superb craftsmanship and exquisite techniques of the porcelain making industry in the border areas of my country in the Yuan Dynasty.

Although this jade pot spring bottle is not the best craftsmanship, it is rare and it is also a surprise to be obtained.

After looking through, Chen Wenzhe actually found four authentic products.

Two of them are porcelain from Longquan Kiln, and the other two are underglaze red porcelain.

Chen Wenzhe imitated many porcelains from Longquan Kiln, but he has never obtained one of them.

The piece in front of me is a green glaze plate of Longquan kiln sealed dragon pattern, with a height of 7.5cm, a diameter of 42.9cm, and a foot diameter of 29cm.

The plate has an open mouth, shallow belly, flat bottom, and ring foot.

Green glaze is applied inside and outside, with no glaze on the bottom, and flint red on the exposed body.

The disk heart molds the cloud dragon pattern, and the inner wall is carved with patterns.

This disc has a large shape, a heavy body, and a blue-yellow glaze.

Under the thicker glaze layer, the printed cloud dragon pattern is clearly visible.

Based on this, this shows that this is a typical celadon of Longquan kiln in the Yuan Dynasty.

Longquan kiln celadon developed from the Song Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty. Although the firing area expanded and the output increased dramatically, it could no longer burn the plum blue color of the Southern Song Dynasty.

In order to make up for the lack of color in celadon, Longquan kiln celadons in the Yuan Dynasty often use molding, plastic pasting, and withering to decorate them in order to pursue the beauty of the picture and the beauty of the shape.

In addition to this one, the other one is the Longquan Kiln green glaze clean bottle.

This Yuan Dynasty net bottle has a height of 48.2cm and a diameter of 7.3cm.

The clean bottle has a straight mouth, a long neck, and a plump shoulder. The shoulders gradually become restrained below the shoulders, slightly outwardly at the closest foot, and a circle foot.

There is a wheel-shaped edge at the lower part of the neck, and a pink and blue glaze is applied inside and outside, and the glaze surface is even.

This kind of utensil, commonly known as the Pure Bottle, is actually a type of "military sect".

This kind of thing was originally a daily life tool for the three ethnic groups of Yin, and was later given religious meaning by Buddhists.

It is mainly used to store water for drinking when traveling around, rinse your hands or rinse your mouth after meals.

Junshi can be roughly divided into two types: two-port and single-port, with ceramics, metals, etc.

The porcelain single-mouth military commander was fired from the Five Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty.

Its basic characteristics are small mouth, long neck, plump shoulders, gradually converge below the shoulders, ring feet, and a wheel-shaped edge on the neck.

This green-glaze clean bottle fired in Longquan Kiln in Jiangsu and Zhejiang in the Yuan Dynasty was often called "Jiangzi" because it looked like the character "Jiangzi".

Many green glaze clean bottles were found in Longquan kiln in the Yuan Dynasty, but it is rare for those with large size and exquisite glaze color to be as large as this clean bottle.

In fact, in ancient times, such military leadership became more popular in Buddhism in the northwest.

The most famous military sect should be the golden bottle from the Nine-story Demon Tower.

The bottle was still very beautiful, especially the curve on the round belly.

“The west side still has great potential.”

With a great gain, Chen Wenzhe became very interested in archaeology.

Not to mention anything else, just talking about the nine-story demon tower is definitely not simple.

Also, since there is a nine-story demon tower, will there be a second one?

The answer is yes, because no dynasty can have only one king and prince, and he will die in the second lifetime, right?

For example, the so-called nine-story demon tower is not a simple tomb of a king, but a cemetery.

If you find such a cemetery once, you will get a great harvest.

When Chen Wenzhe had time, he really wanted to go and see it. Perhaps through the nine-story demon tower, he could discover more ancient tombs.

The "Nine-level Demon Tower" written in "Ghost Blows Out the Light" was just a legend at the beginning.

But when legend becomes reality, that's interesting.

This ancient tomb, based on the Xuewei No. 1 Tomb, has sparked heated discussions, and there are still many secrets worth further exploration.

Few people know this "Nine-story Demon Tower" well-known by the world, and its real scientific name is "Xuewei No. 1 Tomb".

The reason why it is called "Xuewei" is determined by the geographical location of the tomb.

It is located on the foot of Xuewei Mountain in the north and on the Chahan Wusu River in the south.

As for the number "No. 1", it also means that it is the most important one in this group of tombs.

In fact, there were many small ancient tombs around the "Xuewei No. 1" in Dulan Reshui County at that time.

The number of holes is as high as 200, all of which have been robbed to varying degrees.

The protagonist "The Tomb of Xuewei No. 1" was even more visited by many lieutenants.

Judging from the traces during archaeological excavations, it was not only stolen in the early days, but also burned several times.

So, why is the "Xuewei No. 1 Tomb" rumored by the people as the "Nine-story Demon Tower"?

This is actually mainly related to its cage shape.

Speaking of "pagoda", in addition to the pagoda, the pyramids are the most familiar to everyone.

The tomb enclosure of this large tomb is very special, with a length of 58 meters from north to south, a width of 65 meters from south to north and 55 meters from north to south.

Its plane and facade both present trapezoidal structures, much like the "gold" in Chinese characters.

Therefore, it was once again called the "Oriental Pyramid", which is the origin of the "Tower" in the "Nine-Level Demon Tower".

As for the "nine layers", if you look at the archaeological report, you will find that its seal is not made of a single material.

This ancient tomb is made of loess, gray sand and huge stones.

At a height of 35 meters, every meter from top to bottom, there is a layer of flat wood that is neatly arranged around the sealed soil.

In this way, a clear nine-level stratification is formed.

Finally, let’s talk about this “monster” because the locals call it “a tall building with monsters.”

It is said that ancient tombs were once caves where demons hid.

Later, King Gesar and his heroes fought fiercely with the demons for many days, and finally drove away the demons.

But the demons are not empty, and there are many gold, silver and treasures inside. Local people call these ancient tombs "the building where monsters gather."

In fact, all the rumors are not groundless.

This Xuewei No. 1 Tomb, known as the "Nine-layer Demon Tower", actually contains a large amount of gold, silver and fabric burial objects. So who will its owner be?

Judging from the structural characteristics of the tomb itself, it undoubtedly belongs to the Tubo system.

According to archaeological excavations, the tomb chamber is located 11.5 meters deep under the seal and is located in the center of the seal.

Built on the trapezoidal platform on the lower floor, the plane is cross-shaped, 21 meters wide from east to west and 18.5 meters long from north to south.
