Chapter 23 The Ancient Temple (2)

Chapter 23 Ancient Temple (2)

Zhu Hanwen looked back and saw that he was a little novice monk. He was only fifteen or sixteen years old and his head was timidly lowered. Perhaps because he had been vegetarian since he was a vegetarian, he was relatively thin and not tall, but only to his chin. He was wearing an old monk robe that was not very fit. Although it was not patched, it had been washed slightly white.

"My little master, how do you know that we are chosen people?" Bai Zhi was a little curious.

"The abbot asked me to wait here early this morning, saying that there would be people from the chosen ones. I waited all morning and saw that no one had come and played for a while. When I came back and saw the two donors here, I came over and asked, are you really chosen ones?" The little shaman was a little excited.

The two exchanged their eyes, and Zhu Hanwen nodded slightly, "Yes, my little master, since the host wants to see us, please lead the way." Bai Zhi smiled slightly at Xiaoshami, reached out to touch his bald head gently. Xiaoshami may have never seen this formation since she was a child. She was a little panicked for a moment, then her face turned red, and she quickly turned around and closed her hands and couldn't stop reciting the Buddha's name. When he calmed down, he lowered his head and muttered, "Please follow me, two." Then he lowered his head and led the way. Fortunately, the two were not ordinary people, and they followed Xiaoshami slowly.

Leaving Moyun Tower, passing through the courtyard, leaving the back door of the courtyard, and walking along the mountain road to the depths of the back mountain. Zhu Hanwen felt a little strange and asked, "Little Master, isn't the abbot in the abbot's room?"

"Yeah, the abbot and the ancestors have been in the reclining Buddha Cave for a while. The abbot said that if someone from the heavenly choice visits today, please go to the reclining Buddha Cave to talk to each other." The little shaman replied.

"How far is it?" Bai Zhi asked.

"It's almost right ahead."

The two of them stopped talking and followed the little shami along the rugged mountain road with questions for more than half an hour. They arrived at the entrance of a cave. The door of the cave was filled with three large characters "Calling Buddha Cave" written in red paint.

Walking into the cave door, there are dense small holes on both sides of the stone wall. A thick candle is placed inside each hole. The candlelight intersects, illuminating the entire tunnel. As you go deeper into the cave, you can vaguely hear the sound of many people chanting scriptures. Turning two turns, the sound of chanting scriptures becomes clearer and clearer. You can clearly feel that the monks who recite scriptures are all chanting scriptures. There are many people chanting scriptures together, but they don’t sound messy at all, but instead make people feel more peaceful.

The end of the tunnel was blocked by a velvet curtain, and the sound of chanting came from the other side of the curtain. The two of them opened the curtain with the little shaman and looked in. They were huge Buddha feet facing the door, lying on the side, six or seven meters high. When they walked into the cave, they saw that the reclining Buddha was thirty or forty meters long, with a headdressed snail bun, with plump cheeks, slightly closed eyes, peaceful expression, simple clothes, lying on the right rib, and resting on the lotus platform. In the open space in front of the reclining Buddha, a group of old monks sat around the ground wearing cassocks and chanting Buddhist scriptures. There was a faint golden light on the top of each old monk's head, and several golden lights gathered on the top of the cave and then enveloped a treasure box in the center of the monks.

The little novice monk walked to one of the old monks and whispered a few words. The old monk nodded and did not move his body. The little novice monk walked to the two and said, "The two donors wait for a moment. The abbot must finish reciting the Diamond Sutra before he could get up to greet the two."

"Okay, let's wait a while." Zhu Hanwen said that and waited quietly with Bai Zhi.

The original text of the Diamond Sutra is not too long. After a while, the old monk gently tapped the bronze chime on his hand, and the old monks all proclaimed the Buddha's name "Amitabha".

The old abbot stood up and walked up to the two of them, folded his hands together and said, "Amitabha, let the two donors wait for a long time. I am the monk's Dharma name for eternal dharma. What do you call the two chosen people?"

Zhu Hanwen replied, "I am Zhu Hanwen, this person is Bai Zhi. I wonder what the abbot of Yongdu will do to call us here?"

"I dare not, it's not that I have something to ask for two of you if I have something to do, but that I have some trouble in this temple and want to ask for help." Yongdu looked in a difficult face.

"Qilongxiang Buddhist Temple on Zhiyun Temple, as the ancestral temple of Northeast Buddhism, there are countless monks who have attained enlightenment. How could there be any trouble if we two younger generations need the help of us?" Bai Zhi frowned slightly, glanced at the old monk in front of her, and then looked at the monks sitting on the ground and found that all the monks, including the abbot of Yongdu, had an unnatural dark golden color on their faces.

Yongdu sighed and said slowly, "It's shameful to say that I should know that I won't go into details for you, who are the revived spiritual energy more than two months ago. This is a great thing for us practitioners. Countless younger disciples suddenly realized and comprehended the supreme Buddhist Dharma. Even the waning people, the understanding of Buddhism has further improved, especially the younger brothers who guarded the Buddha treasure in the past two months has exceeded the hard practices they had in the previous few decades, so...

"So you all want to make progress together by guarding the Buddha treasure?" Zhu Hanwen glanced at the treasure box in the center of the monks and teased.

"Shame, it's true." Yongdu's old face turned red. Monks should have been clear-headed and few desires and let go of their obsessions, but they lost their original intentions by the benefits brought by the Buddha treasure. They practiced Buddhist supernatural powers almost greedily around the Buddha treasure, and had long forgotten the Buddha's teachings.

"After all, this is a good thing. Is there anything we need to help? Do you think I'm practicing too quickly? Then I'll practice my skills?" Zhu Hanwen said.

"It was indeed a good thing, but it was bad. The core technique of this temple is "The Golden Body of Arhat". When you practice to a high level, your body is made of steel, and you will become a non-destructive golden body. However, if your mind does not keep up, your body will be stiff. Originally, we monks are the most concerned about the mind. No matter which magical power you practice, the progress of your mind will be faster than the speed of magical powers. However, this spiritual energy revival and the blessing of Buddha treasures allow us to make our cultivation progress by leaps and bounds, and our mood will naturally not be able to keep up. Now, except for me and some younger generations in the temple, it is almost impossible to move. Good, good, good, good."

"Then why are you still gathering here? Leave quickly." Bai Zhi said anxiously.

"Where can you go when you leave? The Buddha treasure cannot be unattended. Even if the guardians do not practice, their cultivation will grow rapidly by just being shining with the Buddha light. Now they can only gather the magic power of all of us, use the method of Cihang to unite the minds of all the stiff brothers, and jointly cultivate the Buddha's heart, so that the two hatches can be balanced one day."

It seems that this old monk is still reluctant to let go of the cultivation that he has already obtained. After hundreds of years of the end of Taoism, anyone suddenly gains the cultivation that he has never had in the past few decades. After learning the magical powers that are only known in legends, they may not be reluctant to let go and live a normal life. Thinking of this, Zhu Hanwen's view of the old monk Yongdu has also eased a little and said.

"Then what can we do to help you masters?"

When he saw Zhu Hanwen letting go, the old monk Yongdu breathed a sigh of relief. There was no way for him to get rid of the secrets and crisis in the temple. If these two chosen people refused to help, I am afraid that none of the older monks of the Zhiyun Temple would be spared. Yongdu clasped his hands and said.

"The chosen person of heaven is unique and has the highest treasure in the upper realm. I hope that the two donors can use the highest treasure in the upper realm to absorb the Buddha's light of this Buddha's treasure, so that they can use the treasures that meet the Buddha's light to nurture the two, and can also neutralize the domineering function of this Buddha's treasure."

"Okay, since you have encountered it, you can't see the unfairness on the road, and you can't wait to die without saving you." Zhu Hanwen winked at Bai Zhi and said, "Bai Zhi, your magic weapon is used to cure diseases and save people. The efficacy of being nurtured by Buddha Light will be higher. You can do it first."

Bai Zhi was not polite, and reached out to the air, and a pack of silver needles appeared out of thin air in Bai Zhi's hand. Bai Zhi had heard Bai Zhi say that the magic weapon she got was the hedgehog's needle that had faded after becoming an immortal. She thought it would be as long and thick as the needle on the hedgehog, but she didn't expect it to be as crystal clear as the silver needles of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture. Bai Zhi held a pack of silver needles, her eyes closed, and she muttered to herself and couldn't hear what she said. After a while, the silver needle rose from the cloth bag, and floated neatly on the treasure box from large to small. When it came into contact with the treasure light emitted by the treasure box, it seemed to be attracted by the Buddha's light. Each silver needle transformed into dozens of clones, and surrounded the treasure box densely. The reclining Buddha cave suddenly became dark, and Bai Zhi sat cross-legged.

Seeing that the magic weapon of the chosen man was indeed effective, the old monk Yongdu hurriedly recited the Buddha's name and recited the "Lingyun Sutra" with a group of monks. The "Lingyun Sutra" is the first of the sutras of the Dharma era: the preface, three times of destruction of consciousness, ten times of manifestation, dissecting the truth, understanding the four subjects, perfectly revealing the seven elements, reviewing and eliminating the details, unsolving the knots from the root, the twenty-five holy chapters, four kinds of pure and bright teachings, the Shurangama mantra, twelve types of birth, practice and verification, seven realms, and fifty Yin Demons. All inclusive, it is the most difficult to practice. All the monks in front of you can practice the "Lingyun Sutra", which shows how rich the foundation of the Zhiyun Temple is. If you can overcome the difficulties in front of you, the status of the Buddhist ancestral temple in the Northeast will never be shaken in the next hundred years.

It was day and night in the cave, and I don’t know how long I had practiced. Zhu Hanwen only knew that his phone had no electricity, and Bai Zhi’s hedgehog needle had changed from a crystal clear silver needle to a golden needle with golden light. At this time, Bai Zhi’s temples began to sweat slightly. Seeing that Bai Zhi should be almost unable to hold on, Zhu Hanwen stood up and patted her, reached out and stretched out the Baoqin Golden Rake from behind.

Bai Zhi took the opportunity to retract the hedgehog needle, gasped for a while, and continued to meditate and regulate her breathing to consolidate her gains. Others don’t know, but Bai Zhi knew very well that after experiencing the Buddha’s light nurturing here, her hedgehog needle has been upgraded to a certain level. Now, not only has the ability to identify medicines for acupuncture and moxibustion, but it can also protect itself as a weapon. If you are not afraid of using it easily, you will damage the treasure.

Zhu Hanwen sacrificed the treasure rake and put it above the treasure box. A golden light suddenly burst out from the treasure box and hit the top of the cave. Accompanied by the rays of light and a loud noise, the reclining Buddha, who was originally lying on his side, slowly broke away his eyes and turned his head to look at Zhu Hanwen on the ground.
