Chapter 28: Those who have no faith (please invest!)

The reading process was tedious, and Salomon even sneezes by the raised fine ash. He covered his mouth and nose, reached out and waved a gust of wind to blew away the accumulated dust.

It is not without reason for ordinary people to regard these books as nonsense, because most of these books are fancy but meaningless short sentences and various hearsay stories. It is very likely that the content of the occult is only a few pages. The oldest of these books is at most from Europe in the Middle Ages, when all kinds of self-proclaimed wizards and alchemists were popular at that time, selling all kinds of useless elixirs, and most of these books were written by those guys.

But no one can rule out that a few guys did learn some spells and then wrote what they knew in the book. They would hide spells through various methods, such as poetry and pictures, and Angelico Butchard was likely to have gained knowledge through these books. But Salomon could not directly move these books back to Kamataj and then check them. The Venerable has said that this task can only be performed by him, because only those like him who have faced the dark dimension can have a certain resistance to black magic.

Therefore, Salomon could only endure and be irritated, trying to find out what he needed from these magic books. At least he had to make sure that the spells from the "Book of the Dark God" were hidden in these books before he could make sure that the Corinthian family did not have spells privately.

This work takes a lot of time, but only by completing all this can he proceed to the next step.

While searching for the books, Barnabas left for a while, and then he walked into the room with a huge plate himself, and placed the plate on the table of Salomon. The plate contained a cup of black tea, some neatly arranged sandwiches, and even a few waffles and jam.

When Salomon looked at him with a puzzled look, the vampire sitting quietly blinked. He said, "I heard you have a British accent, so I thought you must have the habit of having afternoon tea. But Willy can't get here normally, so I can only bring it with me. Don't worry, there is no silver product."

"I don't smoke even if I touch silver products, Mr. Barnabas." Salomon continued to look back and read the boring books. Although he was thirsty, he was not stupid enough to accept the food provided by his prey. After all, who knows whether he would be prey in others' hearts?

Seeing that Salomon did not move the food, he was not angry. He sat aside, chatting with Salomon from time to time, constantly knocking on the side, trying to inquire about Kama Taj. Salomon did not hide everything. He focused on describing the Supreme Master's status in the universe and the powerful strength of the Venerable. After all, he did not believe in vampires, nor did he believe that vampires would believe him so easily. The title of the Supreme Master is quite useful at this time.

But Barnabas's next problem caught Salomon off guard.

"Does God really exist? Mr. Damonnet, are vampires unable to go to heaven?"

"Magic existence, vampires exist, why can't God exist?" Salomon looked at Barnabas, and the vampire also opened his eyes wide, waiting for Salomon's answer. The vampire at this time seemed extremely sincere.

Whether God exists is very important for Christianity. Although the Supreme Master has turned away the power of heaven, the Venerable did not explicitly prohibit humans from believing in God. Perhaps the Venerable wanted Christianity and Odin's faith to fight each other, but unexpectedly it turned out to be the only one in the end.

"As for whether you can go to heaven..." At this time, Salomon controlled the chair and turned in a direction, making a harsh friction sound on the floor. He said, "Is going to heaven a good thing?"

"What does this mean?" Barnabas dragged his tone in confusion. He pinched his index finger and thumb with his left hand, as if he was holding what Salomon said, "Doesn't a kind person go to heaven after he dies?"

"I don't know, Mr. Barnabas." The young secret wizard shook his head and replied, "I think death should be silent, not in a bright and dazzling place, like a fool, unable to extricate himself from singing chants every day. I don't want anyone to pick and choose from my soul, even God."

"Are you a believer of the devil?" the vampire asked, tilting his head, "Don't wizards sell their souls to the devil?"

"No, I am a faithless person." Salomon showed a disdainful smile. "To me, God does exist, but is not worthy of faith. If what I do is consistent with that doctrine, it is only because it is consistent with me, not because I believe in the doctrine; if I go against that doctrine, it does not mean that I need punishment, but I do not believe in that doctrine at all. We need not God, but humanity, Mr. Barnabas, your family has what it is today, and it is not God, but our own hands."

This idea was a conclusion made by Salomon based on the knowledge he had learned in his previous life and the teachings of the Supreme Master. Although this idea is now extremely immature, Salomon is a thorough humanist. His statement surprised Barnabas and opened his mouth wide.

People with faith look down on those who are unbeliever, and this is true in any world. In their opinion, they are far more noble than those who are unbeliever. Even if they have no food and clothing, they can spit on the rich and unbeliever because they are noble and believers.

In the eyes of believers, heresy is much more abominable than heresy, and those who are more abominable and unforgivable than heresy are those who are unbeliever. In their eyes, people without faith have no bottom line, are hopeless and extremely sad. Although faith cannot make people eat and wear warmly, without faith, they are not worthy of having enough food and clothing. If the unbeliever has food and clothing, or even a well-off society, then the unbeliever must have done something that is angered by heaven and people.

Theists will lift themselves up extremely high, as if they stand on a high place with the God they believe in. But if they just like to stand high, nothing will happen. But unfortunately, they like to stand high and point fingers, as if they are an extension of the will of God, and their actions are the will of God. If the unbeliever is brought into a group, these believers can bring war to them in just right terms, because this is their right, and the unbeliever is a barbarian who needs to be enlightened, and they think it is God's will.

They do not believe in the efforts made by the unbeliever because the unbeliever lacks faith. Theists cannot open their eyes to see the facts. No matter how well others do, in their opinion, the unbeliever must have covered up the filthy places. And no matter how bad they become, they will become noble with the God they believe in, because they believe in God, they are the shepherds of the Lord, and are qualified and necessary to guide the lost lambs.

As for the double standard operation that reverses black and white, there is no need to say much, it is just a routine behavior.

The first memory that Salomon accepted had extreme anti-god ideas. Perhaps because of this influence, Salomon praised atheism more. In his opinion, humans' current achievements do not involve the slightest part of the gods. If humans wag their tails and beg for mercy, the gods would only rule humans with peace of mind. If there was no ancient wizard in this world, humans would not be much better than Lambs.

His idea was also what the Supreme Master expected. A trustless person would face the best weapon of the demon god in the outer dimension.

"Well~~~" The vampire obviously didn't expect Salomon's attitude to be so radical. He raised a finger and forced a smile, "I think Victoria should wake up!"

"Please, Mr. Barnabas." Salomon turned around expressionlessly, "I will notify you after I finish my work."
