Chapter 699: Mechanical Glory

"You can't believe that we can survive on Mars without wearing space suits!"

"That's because you're in the ecological cabin!" the technician shouted impatiently, "James, you idiot! Come back to work quickly. Haven't you tired of seeing this scenery when you are exploring in advance?"

"A little humorous, man. We are Earthlings who climbed onto Mars!" James looked out the window at the red sand dunes in the desert in the distance. The orange-red sunlight shone from the sky, and the whole world seemed to be about to be swallowed by the fire. He had to bring cheap sunglasses he bought on the earth to avoid being blinded by the light. The inspector found the sunglasses when checking his luggage. For some reason, he put a code on the aerospace industry, which was very stingy in carrying his personal supplies outside the declaration list. Now he knows why, because the inspector is Australian like him.

"Considering that we are at least 55 million kilometers away from Earth, Mars is very suitable for me to miss the Australian forest fires, after all, they are all red." James left the observation window and walked towards the busy technician. He took off his sunglasses and exposed his myopia glasses. "How do we solve the gravity problem of the foundry? The operating manual only has 'press this button once', 'press that button twice', 'turn on this switch when the light turns red', which is not like an operating manual for astronauts landing on Mars."

The huge ecological cabin with the golden eagle emblem trembled twice, and the technician with short gray hair knew that he had completed the first step: fixed on Mars. He believed that the two huge tracks could work well, which was more of a huge mobile fortress than an ecological cabin.

In addition to the most important landing cabin equipped with astronauts, other modularly designed components have long been launched to designated locations through rocket launches. Finally, the manned landing cabin landed on the previous components through magical accuracy. The landing cabin is like a turret, where the technician and his assistant are here. The mobile fortress on Mars is much stronger than most spacecraft today. There is no need to worry about space waste only the size of a finger or meteorite breaking through the shell and causing air leakage. The solid armor plate and the continuous operation of the reactor give this ecological cabin almost endless energy, and there is no need to worry about the impact of Mars sandstorms on the progress of the project for three consecutive months.

Only weak spacecraft can use solar energy. The real macho landing cabin uses nuclear power. There is even a huge plasma cannon installed in the front of the ecological cabin because of someone's fantasy.

"Because you see a simple operation manual for future immigrants to read, the person seems to want to speed up the process of immigration on Mars and will not require all immigrants to receive higher education." He checked the operation status of the radio relay stations launched to nearby areas in the early stage, and then began to send signals to other landing poles. Not only were they landing on Mars, they were not the first humans to set foot on Mars. The reason they were able to land on Mars was because their boss had a very grand plan for Mars. In the face of this plan, even Martian monsters could not escape the fate of being annihilated by plasma cannons.

If there were really Martian monsters in this world.

"Even if we go to Mars, we can't escape the job stolen by refugees? Fred, I remember you complaining that your former boss is very keen on diversity and would rather recruit a Middle Eastern refugee with a record of violent crime than a highly educated white mechanical engineer."

"Our bosses are standard pragmatists. Do you think they care about bullshit humanitarianism? We will run schools and teach everyone scientific knowledge, regardless of the color and background of the other person, or even age." Fred said indifferently. "We will teach them while working until those people have our skills. But if the refugees think that this is Germany, they can commit crimes everywhere without being punished, and are licked by white politicians, they are very wrong - although the bosses used this to trick them into it in the beginning, and they were still dreamt of a good life after Europe until they were launched on Mars."

Faced with his companion's puzzled gaze, Fred had to pause his work and began to explain to James.

"Do you remember those mechanically transformed people you saw in the Earth base? Our bosses don't keep garbage people. If they break the law, they will become mechanically transformed slave workers, working endlessly for projects before their bodies completely decay."

"No wonder you're joining this company, man, that sounds evil enough!"

"James, I think it's time to tell you the truth." Fred took a deep breath. He suddenly turned around and took out a weird pistol. James was startled and raised his hands quickly. Fred said, "This is not a company at all. It is a government that has nothing to do with any government on earth. The real purpose of this project is to defend humanity and deal with alien threats. It is not politicians or rich people, but people like us. Protect humanity and preserve civilization. I'm sorry to keep you in the dark, but your invention is too important and we must not lose talent like you."

"This sounds like a bastard, man! I just met a girl at a science seminar, and now you actually told me that I can't go back to Earth? That's the first time in my 28 years of life that I can meet a girl who can be chatted with! You bastard! The boss is also a bastard! Fuck!"

"All of us can't go back, James, unless you want to be a brainless slave to perform outdoor tasks. If you're willing to listen to what I said, I'll tell you another news - Jennifer, the girl you met at the seminar, is here. We won't give up any recruitable scientists, including her. If you let me work hard, we'll be able to connect with the ecological cabin where she is in a few hours."

"I'm going to stay here, Fred, I'll work hard! Please, I never want to be a science home again!"

"The intelligence department said it would be useful to deal with you." Fred put away the stun gun. He smiled and patted the young man on the shoulder, "Welcome to the Immortal City Branch, NERV Mars Base. This will be the forefront of genetic transformation and mechanical manufacturing. The entire planet will become a foundry, bringing together high-end technology far beyond the earth! Imagine we built a space warship that is dozens of kilometers long, and we will be the savior of mankind!"

James put down his arm in disappointment, his expression was very strange, "Do we still have to build humanoid robots dozens of meters high?"

"You're right, brother! That's one of our projects, Titan Robot!" Fred laughed, "Let's start working and create miracles!"

"I can be sure now that our boss is Nitt."

Salomon shrugged and continued to stroll along the red desert of Mars. He was glad that his employees were optimistic about what happened next. He had obtained the private authorization of the Venerable, and Mars would enter a time acceleration state, shorten the time for the early work, and complete the first phase of work as much as possible before the arrival of the pirates of the universe.
