082 Open the mine

The several arched windows facing the mine in the supervision office of the New Apollowan Mine Industrial Zone were open, and the morning breeze was coming, and the tight curtains and the light yellow tassels on the bookshelves swayed together.

The gray hair on Augustus's forehead was shaking gently, the paper on the report paper on the mahogany desk was rustling, and the coat and hat were hung on a branch hanger next to it.

A vintage record machine that Renault and Hanak bought from the New Apollovan Community Fair last week is still working hard, and the melodious and relaxed Tasanis minor tune is always stuck, but Augustus knows that this old antique that may have existed in the early colonial era is now still able to speak.

Perhaps this record machine is not as old as the locals say... After all, Renault took it off with only scrap iron.

Now, it is a miracle that Reno and Hanak were able to come out of the barely angry residents of the Kemerian community intact, although there were two arc tanks and a platoon of resocialized soldiers standing at the entrance of the community at that time with guns and live ammunition.

In the supervision office, Lisa, dressed in the uniform of the head sergeant, was cleaning up some of the collections left by the former Kemorian Mining Supervisor, including some ores that emit colorful light but are unknown, portraits of beautiful women that meet the aesthetics of Kemorians and gold-plated mine picks.

After packing up, Lisa turned to the oil paintings of Augustus' mother and several cage-shaped handguard swords that Augustus himself used to practice swordsmanship. Augustus was practicing swordsmanship and other ancient fighting techniques to improve his unbearable melee ability, but the only good thing he has so far is the salted fish thrust.

"What is this?" Lisa brought out a plain safe from a box.

"The wine of Tasanis Taiping Island, remember correctly, should be from 2014... Take it easy." Augustus looked up and looked at it.

"As for putting it in a safe? It's just a bottle of wine." Lisa gently put it down.

"You don't understand the people of the Monsk family's hobbies for fine wine, just as the Kemerians are keen on finding beautiful stones in the mud. As for safes... this is tradition." Augustus said: "It's the same as if you like beautiful skirts."

"In this world, there are other things besides crabs that can make people feel happy, for example, happiness, satisfaction and accomplishment."

"Okay, you're always right." Lisa shook her head: "I haven't touched them for almost two months, and I don't think about that thing all day long. I'm trying to make something else the whole of my life."

"I'm so happy for you." Augustus put down the pen in his hand again and smiled: "It seems that drug rehabilitation seems to be successful until now. I believe that sooner or later you no longer need me to supervise it. In this way, you will no longer be restrained and fall in love with those hallucinating drugs all day long. Lisa, I think your life should belong to you."

"No... I may not be able to control myself for the rest of my life. As the doctor said, I am weak and hopeless." In a place where Augustus could not see, Lisa's pink lips with lipstick shrank: "Augustu..."

"..." Augustus looked at Lisa and waited for her to continue talking.

"I still need supervision..." Lisa whispered.

"By... you have too little confidence in yourself." Augustus was stunned for a moment, thinking to himself, what should I say: "If it doesn't work, after leaving the army, I can hire a few maids to watch you."

Something is wrong, it sounds like raising a mistress.

"Of course, I have other ways." Augustus changed his words and said, "After retiring, do you have any plans?"

"Future, I have no plans in the future." Lisa took out a framed photo from Augustus' box. She was a little girl with a silver single ponytail, about ten years old and looked very tall.

"Is that your sister?" she asked.

"It looks like yes." Augustus said unsurely: "Okay, give it to me."

"Then pour me a cup of coffee, okay?"

Augustus still has a lot of work to do, calculating the income of the mine, counting the costs of workers and transportation costs...

After the ceasefire agreement came into effect, all offensive plans of the Tyron Federal Army had been suspended, and most of the landing troops returned to the warships that remained on the synchronous track.

However, Augustus took the initiative to apply to stay in New Apollovan and promised to resume production in the shortest time of the local factory and transport the full Adion crystal to the Meinhof Spaceport.

Originally, no one would pay attention to the opinion of a little lieutenant. Even though Augustus was already quite famous, both in the small circle of officers of the 33rd Ground Assault Division and in the larger civilian class.

In the matter of applying to manage the new Apollovan factory, Lieutenant Colonel Warfield, Augustus's old boss, would not help him, because Warfield has always insisted on fairness and justice. He can tolerate some minor problems, but he is always selfless in matters of big things.

In the end, his elder brother Aktulls was still in the army for the time being, and an old subordinate named Chuck took over the matter.

Today is the first day of the document being issued. Augustus became the manager of a large mine as he wished, earlier than his brother. If nothing unexpected happens, Aktulls, who had just left the army, was driving a space engineering vehicle on a deserted planet in the marginal star area to dig ore for analysis.

In addition to the Heavenly Demons, Augustus's men also had a socialization company commanded by him, and four arc tanks left on the ground were also commanded by him.

These troops were unintentionally used to maintain public order, and Kemerian's main forces did not dare to attack an ordinary mining area at the risk of unilaterally tearing up the ceasefire agreement.

The war has been fought for too long, and both sides need time to fix it.

As for whether to continue to fight or sign a peace treaty after this, it is decided by both governments.

Although there has been a ceasefire, there are still minor frictions everywhere in Meinhof. Some officers do not want to die on a planet full of stones and Kemerians on the eve of the war. This is also the main reason why Augustus was able to take this appointment.

The problem caused by the high proportion of socialized soldiers has also begun to emerge, that is, fewer and fewer soldiers can flexibly handle and manage things.

At this moment, some noisy sound suddenly came from outside the window. Augustus smiled on his face. He knew that it was the Kemerian miner he hired.
