Chapter 265 The Truth

"That's the goal this time, Chen. It seems that there was an accident in this mission."

Skye on the side said angrily, and stopped searching for the target building in his hand.

Fitz hurried over with a medical kit on his back, and Simmons also began to treat Chen Haoran's wounds.

When Ward saw this scene, he couldn't help but frown. He felt that he had done nothing this time and was not used to it.

"Consultant Leo, Chen has extensive burns all over his body, and he seems to have symptoms of anemia. I can treat the wounds, but it's best to send him to the hospital for sterile isolation, otherwise these burns will be too easy to get infected."

"But his breath is still quite stable, and his internal organs sound like nothing is wrong. What's going on?"

"It doesn't matter, I know how to deal with him." Leo turned his head and glanced at Chen Haoran, while rubbing his fingers.

The blood taken by the scientific research woman has been received by him in the space. Of course, he is not going to return it to Chen Haoran. He will just give him some delicious food to replenish it later.

...

Two hours later, Coulson and Mei finally came back, and the captured scientific research woman had been detained at the SHIELD branch in Hong Kong for interrogation, and was about to be handed over to the local Chinese government for processing.

Chen Haoran, who was sent to the hospital bed, slowly woke up under Simmons' treatment and opened his eyes. His whole body was still in pain like burning fire.

But he still lay expressionless, motionless, thinking about his previous irrationality and his plans for the future.

Colson came back and took a look at Leo. He didn't mention the missing metal box, but brought a small box from the office.

Walk up to Miles.

"You have two choices, accept what is in this small box, or we will lock you in a big box."

"Can you give me a hint?" Miles looked at Coulson and smiled awkwardly.

Colson looked at him with a calm expression and said nothing.

Miles had no choice but to open the small box in his hand, and found a metal bracelet inside.

"What's this for?"

"You'd better try to avoid all illegal activities, and it will be difficult for you to get your hands on any electronic devices during this period."

Coulson opened the bracelet and clasped it on Miles's wrist. When he clasped it on, the entire bracelet emitted blue electronic light and finally disappeared.

"You can go."

"Okay, but we are still in Hong Kong." A smile appeared on Miles' face, thinking that this time his affairs were over.

"Yeah." Colson nodded.

"But I live in Austin, Texas."

"I know, by the way, the Poor Children's Foundation thanks you for your anonymous donation." Colson said with a smile, turned and left.

Passing by Skye who was standing aside, he glanced at her.

"Come to my office."

...

Skye didn't go upstairs immediately and walked up to Miles.

"Are you going to stay?" Miles asked.

"If they let me stay." Skye said looking at Miles who had gone through a difficult time with her.

"You have changed, you are different from before."

"You are also different from what I thought." After Skye said this, he turned and left.

Miles looked at Skye's leaving back and suddenly said, "I hope you can find the answer."

Skye slowed down his steps and continued walking up.

Miles also walked outside.

Meeting Leo who had returned, he muttered softly, "Why is the secret so mysterious?"

Leo ignored Miles who got off the plane and walked upstairs.

Skye passed by the rest area and saw Ward and May who were drinking. She walked over with some hesitation.

"I'm going to Coulson's office. As my supervisor, do you want to come with me?"

"I'm off work." Ward said looking at the wine in his hand.

Skye looked at Ward's scene and felt a little sad, "Then...okay."

Leo walked up, "Hey Skye, where are you going?"

"Leo, I...I'm going to Coulson's office." Skye was a little depressed, but she still managed to cheer up and said to Leo.

Leo patted her shoulder and said, "Let's go, I happen to be going too."

The two walked towards Colson's office.

"Skye, how long have you been leading this team?"

"One month and twenty-three days."

"Want to stay?" Leo chuckled.

"Counsellor Leo, can you let me stay?" Skye became a little excited.

"It's not me, it's you. Coulson is a good man. He doesn't seem like an agent sometimes. I know you have your own secrets and purposes. If you tell me some things, maybe we can help you."

Leo said, knocked on the door, signaled their arrival, and walked in first.

Skye was silent for a long time and waited for a while before walking in again.

"I didn't want to..."

"Don't lie to me!" Coulson turned to face Skye and said.

"From the moment you got on this plane, you lied to me, to all of us."

"I don't..."

"You're lying now! I support you in front of the entire team, and some of us are beginning to believe you, going through life and death for you." Colson looked at Skye.

"I..." Skye was silent again, she didn't know how to argue.

"What are you here for? You've been hiding something from us all this time. It's not just your boyfriend. You have secrets, Skye."

"Give you a chance to confess, now, or you'll never have to say it again." Coulson looked at Skye seriously.

Leo has never seen the good old Coulson so angry. It seems that he really believes in and has expectations for Skye, and Skye's betrayal makes him really disappointed.

Skye was silent, blinking his tearful eyes, and then glanced at Leo, who was standing not far away, and Colson in front of him.

After hesitating for two seconds, he reached out from his chest, took out the memory card, and placed it gently on the table.

"What is this?" Colson asked, and Leo was also curious.

"Everything I know."

Skye looked at the small card and said in a low tone.

"About us?" Coulson thought it was SHIELD information collected by Skye.

"About me." Skye looked at Colson, tears lingering in her eyes.

"That's why I learned to hack the system and joined the Rising Tide organization, all to collect as much information about my parents as possible." Skye said with a hint of suppressed crying.

The data in the card appears on the computer.

Several pictures of men's backs, several short information cards, surveillance screenshots, file photos, and finally, a piece of file information with the SHIELD logo popped up.

However, all the information above is covered, and the written information cannot be seen at all.

"I found nothing, no records, no traces, and my lifelong investigation turned up one document, one redacted document."

Coulson looked at the mysterious S.H.I.E.L.D. file with a hint of silence, "It was edited by S.H.I.E.L.D."

Skye looked at Colson with tears in her eyes and said firmly, "No matter what you do, I will never stop investigating."

"You might not like the truth." Coulson looked at Skye and said.

"It can't be worse than I thought."
