Eight hundred and fiftieth chapters Daijiazhuang

On the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month, more than 50,000 Manchu and Mongolian cavalry, 7,000 Han troops, and more than 30,000 Green Camp soldiers launched a fierce attack on the Taiping Army from three directions under the command of Oboi, the Minister of State for the Interior of the People's Government.

The left wing, led by Dorobele Chang Ade, has four Niulu, the Zhenghong Banner of Manzhou, three Niulu, and one Niulu, the Zhenghuang Banner of Zhengzhou, with a total of 80 soldiers; the Duolu County King of Korqin's Left Wing Banner was 2,000 Inner Mongolia troops, the Tong Guowei troops of the Han army, more than 2,000 troops of the Xuanfu General Gang'atai troops, more than 3,000 troops of the Green Camp of Henan, more than 4,000 troops of Meng Xiongbi, the Henan general, more than 15,000 infantry and cavalry, and 48 guns in the inner Han army.

Chang Adaye was the grandson of Prince Li Daishan, and his father was Belemandahai. According to the system, he should have inherited the title of Prince Li, and he did indeed inherit the title of Prince Xun in the ninth year of Shunzhi. However, at the end of last year, he was demoted to Bele by Shunzhi for his father Mandahai's crime. Prince Li's hereditary title was inherited by Prince Kang, the grandson of Daishan.

Tong Guowei is the second son of the first-class Duke Tong Guolai, whose brother is Tong Guogang who died in the mouth of the Bianjia River. Agangtai is the third brother of Li Rutai, who died in Guangdong. His father is Li Yongfang. Meng Xiongbi is the deputy general of the Ming Dynasty who surrendered to the Jin Dynasty during the Tiancong period, and later served as the governor of the Qing Dynasty.

Chang'ai's army launched an attack from the northwest direction to Gaomin Temple as planned, but in Daijiazhuang, a small village with only more than 100 houses, was firmly blocked by the fifth town of the Taiping Army. More than 20,000 people on both sides fought a battle in this palm-sized place.

Gang Atai and Meng Xiong Bi led the Green Camp to attack the defense line of the fifth town. With the support of the Han army artillery in the rear, the first defense line deployed by the fifth town in Daijiazhuang was lost. After successfully breaking through the first defense line of the Taiping Army, Chang Audai was overjoyed and immediately ordered the Han army Tong Guowei troops to follow in order to take advantage of the victory to break the second defense line of the Taiping Army. Unexpectedly, more than 2,000 Taiping Army fought to the death with the Qing army in the open space between the first and second lines of defense. They fought with small teams and launched the familiar "Mandarin duck formation" shape. With the cooperation of long and short weapons, they forced the Qing army to retreat.

Seeing that Gang Atai and the others might be driven out, Chang Aday immediately ordered the cavalry of Esen's troops to rush in and defeat the Taiping Army who was fighting to the death. After discovering that the Qing cavalry had moved, Yu Shizhong, who had been holding a knife and still moving under the large flag of "Qi", drew out the knife. In an instant, more than 30 artillery pieces carried by the fifth town rushed towards the Qing cavalry that was rushing towards. Amid the howling of the shells, Mongolian soldiers and horses flew back from time to time.

The horn of "Wuwu" sounded, and more than 2,000 soldiers of Brigade B of the Fifth Town rushed out of the defense line in the horn and formed the array in the shortest time. However, it was not the "Mandarin Duck Formation" they were good at using, but the phalanx tactics required by the infantry. The "Mandarin Duck Formation" is suitable for team combat and cannot cope with the group charges of cavalry. The phalanx tactics of concentrated firearms can undoubtedly undertake this task. Brigade A in front bought time for Brigade B in the rear.

After the formation of Brigade B, from a distance, the length and weapons in the formation were uneven, but the formation was very neat, which surprised the Qing army, which was fighting with Brigade A.

"go ahead!"

Li Kuangming, the brigade brigade school and the fifth town's deputy general, drew his sword and moved forward. Soon his order was replaced by a sound of suona guiding the soldiers forward. More than two thousand Taiping troops were like one person, stepping forward neatly and slowly, pressing away from the blackness, making the green camp soldiers who were rushing in. The King of Korqindoro County, Esen, who was leading his troops to rush over, also became cautious. He shouted loudly to convey the order, and the charge of the Mongolian soldiers immediately adjusted their speed as much as possible, and the formation was denser than before.

Brigade B and the Mongolian cavalry were approaching at the same time. The Mongolian cavalry's horse speed began to accelerate, and the Mongolian soldiers carrying bows and arrows had already begun to put arrow branches on the bows.

"stop!"

"Fountain check!"

"Prepare!"

The soldiers who held the commander took out the fire broker, blew it a few times in the air, and immediately started to ignite. They carefully checked the fuse rope, then clamped the fuse rope to the hook, lifted the fire gun flat, and looked nervously at the Qing cavalry rushing towards him. After entering a hundred steps, the Mongolian soldiers began to shoot the arrows in their hands forward.

"Hand up the shield!"

Almost at the same time, soldiers in the Taiping Army who were holding cards raised their shields on their heads to cover the falling arrows for themselves and their companions. With the "swooshing" sound, soldiers were often caught and fell to the ground. They were quickly dragged to the back by their companions with short swords, and the space left behind was quickly filled by new people.

"Listen to the order!"

"ignition!"

After the Mongolian cavalry entered the distance of 80 steps, more than 300 muskets fired together. As the black smoke filled, the Mongolian soldiers rushing up were overturned and hundreds of cavalry fell down, and howled and neighed. The Mongolian soldiers behind continued to rush forward in the wailing sounds. These Mongolian soldiers from outside had never fought with the Taiping Army. Their perception of Ming munitions remained more than ten years ago. They thought that they could slaughter them after their first wave of launches, but they did not expect that before they could rush forward a few steps, the Taiping Army muskets on the opposite side fired again.

"Bang bang bang", after four consecutive rounds of volleys, the formation of the Taiping Army suddenly changed, and hundreds of armored soldiers rushed forward with spears. The Mongolian soldiers' confrontation had long been sparsely hit by the Taiping Army's muskets, and their formation was still in chaos, so the Taiping Army's spear soldiers came up to stab them.

After the spearmen stepped forward, the gunmen behind quickly loaded gunpowder, and the commanders stared at the Mongolian soldiers who were stabbed by the spearmen in order to capture the best fighter. The Mongolian soldiers were killed or injured by no less than three or four hundred corpses and unowned war horses in front of the formation, which made their charge slow down. Esen heard the order loudly, and the Mongolian soldiers rushed to both sides and began to shoot the Taiping Army with bows and arrows with their spears. Although the spearmen were all wearing armor, in the dense rain of arrows of the Mongolian soldiers, soldiers were shot from time to time, and some shot directly into the door, and they were knocked to the ground without even having time to scream. Some soldiers were caught on their shoulders and could no longer hold their spears, so they had to cover their shoulders and fell to the ground.

In the fifth town, except for the officers and guards, the soldiers were wearing improved cotton armor, which was stronger than the cotton armor of the Qing army, but no matter how strong it was, they were still cotton armor. The arrow branches shot by the Mongolian soldiers could easily break their armor. Before their long-range firepower came up, the spearmen could only endure the arrow branches shot from all directions.

Seeing that the formation of the Taiping Army's spearmen was in chaos, Esen laughed and waved his hand to signal the tribes that they could come forward and slaughter them. Hundreds of Mongolian soldiers roared and urged their horses, wielded their long swords and rushed towards the Taiping Army.

"Twenty steps forward!"

Looking at the spearmen who were falling down, Li Kuangming felt like a knife, but he could not order to rush forward to save them. He could only grit his teeth and ordered the gun soldiers to step forward slowly. The formation must not be messed up.
