Chapter 21 Family Auction
After breakfast, Liscoe set off after preparing his change. The family auction is a good exhibition in the United States that handles second-hand goods from his home, often once every six months, and the same is true for the exhibition here in Garrison.
When I arrived at the exhibition, I happened to meet the two brothers Colt and Rooster who came to buy.
"Li, you're here to attend the exhibition too? Is there anything to sell?" Colt joked and closed the car door.
"I'll come and have a look. If you like, you will buy some. Are you a big purchase? You're still the two of you together." Li Sike complained about him.
"I bought my house from Maggie, and the cock brought me some new repairs. I happened to be at the auction this time and wanted to get some furniture." Colt was very satisfied with his life.
"How is the job? Are you happy to do it?"
"Great, this job is very suitable for me. We are now training camping and are preparing to participate in the Cordorola football game next month, and strive to get out of the circle and qualify for the National Football Game." Colt was very furious when he said his work.
"Our school team has a few good and good seedlings, and I think they are even better than I did back then."
Li Sike looked at Colt who was confident and patted him on the shoulder. He was not interested in such a game where the clothes were wrapped and bumped around. He still liked to watch basketball games and often watched the game of Yao Ming, who was at the peak of the Rockets.
The three of them dispersed when they arrived at the exhibition and walked around each other. American family auctions were not unique to merchants. They were basically residents of the town. They took the items that were not available at home to the market. The organizer evaluated the price and marked it. If someone liked it, they would pay the money to take it. The organizer would pack it for you and put it in the car. If there was any inconvenience, some shipping fee would be sent home. Therefore, every time the holding was held, it would attract many people from other regions to join in the fun. Now the town is crowded.
Of course, Li Sike didn't need anything. He came here this time just to join in the fun and buy it if he had any interest.
At such auctions, no matter whether you come to buy things or join in the fun, you can't help but buy some, because the things here are often ridiculously cheap. For example, a full set of encyclopedias originally cost 50 US dollars, sold for only 8 US dollars. Li Sike looked at it and seemed that he hadn't used it much. He couldn't help but take a photo. Everything here was paid in cash, which was also the use of him bringing a lot of change at home.
Next to it is a brand-name high-end suit that sells old clothes, originally priced at $3,000, which costs only $5, as well as all expensive shoulder bags, and some puppet cars that children eliminated, selling a variety of things.
In the United States, garbage such as these daily necessities and old household appliances often requires high garbage disposal fees, so people like to sell and send these old items to those in need, which is also the origin of this kind of auction. Lisco had heard of the more surprising RB before. The furniture or electrical appliances they eliminated often have prescribed placement areas on the streets. Some people with limited living conditions choose the items they use and can take them home without paying any money.
Lisco also saw a copper pot and vase with exquisite copper. Lisco spent twenty dollars to buy it, intending to add a little bit of characteristics to his own house full of ceramics.
While walking around, Lisco saw many strange things, some of which were marked as magic props of witches, and they were dolls in toy coffins, which were said to be used for cursing. There was also a stall selling bottle caps for bottles of Coke that he had collected, some strange badges, various old-fashioned clocks, and exquisite table lamps that were DIYed by others. Lisco also bought an old phonograph and a bunch of vinyl records. He tried it at the stall and it could be used normally.
Some street artists are selling their works here. Li Sike chose a few oil paintings with bright colors and distant artistic conception, and planned to hang them in his study at home. Most of these oil paintings are imitated by artists in the world and look very realistic.
Li Sike walked in the middle and saw a bunch of people surrounding a region, in a mess. He squeezed in and saw the items on the stall, his eyes shone out and he exclaimed.
The owner of the stall is a young Chinese man, who looks about the same size as Lisco. His stall sells cold weapons. The English introduction of the brand above says that he made it all by himself.
These cold weapons include various ancient Chinese weapons. Lisco saw maces, daggers, long swords, big swords, nunchaku, Tang swords, iron fans, darts, and a very high Fangtian painting halberd. The other side of the stall is full of cool weapons, including the imitation of Thor's Hammer, Marvel Riloki's scepter, rings and bows in the rings, and some cool weapons in RB anime.
Li Sike took the initiative to go up and chat.
"BOY, are these things you did?"
The Chinese man looked up and said, "Yes, my name is Moore Lin. I live in the nearby town. I made it all by myself."
Li Sike looked at him and determined that he might be a Chinese with a green card, so he spoke in Mandarin.
"Hello, my name is Lisko, I am a rancher." Lisko naturally handed over him.
Lin Moore looked at the foreigner in front of him in surprise. When a foreigner in the United States heard authentic Mandarin with a Beijing accent, he felt a little stunned.
After reacting, he immediately stretched out his hand and held it, "Have you studied in China?"
Lisco explained, "Yes, my grandfather is Chinese, my grandmother is Jewish, my mother is British, and I am a mixed Chinese, Jewish and British."
Lin Moore also introduced, "Call me Lynch, Moore is an American name. My parents opened a Chinese restaurant in front of the town. I helped here after graduation. I made these things myself when I was bored at home. You speak Mandarin and your grandfather is still a Chinese. Why don't you go to wait for my meal? My parents are definitely very welcome."
Li Sike's hand was held by Lynch. He knew that he was from Northeast China by listening to Lynch's accent and his enthusiastic attitude.
"No, I will definitely visit you next time I have the chance. How do you sell these weapons? They are exquisitely made. I bought a few of them home to put them in the study, which is much more tasteful than the Japanese swords and other knives."
Lynch's satisfaction was even higher. He had just arrived in the United States for half a year and met many Chinese. As a result, others were Chinese generations and could not even speak Chinese. In addition to having a Chinese face, this time he met a foreign face and Mandarin thief, which really made him feel like a fellow villager, not to mention that when he heard Li Sike talking about the Japanese, he really made him feel like a fellow villager.
"No matter what money is not, don't you look down on me, do you think of me? I can't do anything from little RB. I'm learning a craft from my grandfather's old blacksmith. I'm here to sell it for fun. This thing is made of stainless steel. It's extremely sharp when you open it and cut it. Brother, tell you, take it away if you like it, Brother Lin is not a chore."
He waved his hand in a grand manner.
Li Sike was a little amused when he saw this Northeastern style.
The two of them had a long dispute. Li Sike had no choice but to take the Tang sword, iron fan, and an exquisite knife with anime pig's feet. He hugged his arms and returned to the car.
