423rd year of the Dawn calendar.
On the first Sunday of June, the dark and yellow earth was silent.
In a corner of this land, stones moved, and rock scorpions with head and tail lengths nearly meter long and crawled out. After the battle of dawn, 50% of the species on the earth had completely disappeared. However, the remaining majority had evolved into dangerous creatures.
Surviving humans, these creatures are called "dangerous species".
The rock scorpion was looking for food, and a huge and scent suddenly rose from the distance. The breath was so huge that it was like a mountain coming from the sky. The rock scorpion looked up and saw a shadow crawling.
This shadow is so vast that it almost lies across the entire horizon. It is moving forward at a slow but constant speed. The one that casts the shadow is a floating island comparable to the area of Texas, which was one of the greatest creatures of mankind since the Battle of Dawn. The Babylonian floating island is driven by the Rubik's Cube energy and is constantly orbiting the planet like near-Earth satellites in the set orbit.
It was not until the evening that the Babylonian floating island became a silhouette of the distant sky. At this time, the Gobi became lively again. Some of the dangerous species such as rock scorpions gradually moved towards the edge of the west side of the Gobi. There was a small town where people in the town made a living by mining. Humans, in the eyes of the dangerous species, were the best food.
The town is not big, with hundreds of people living in it. The houses are simple, and the iron sheds that can protect the wind and rain are already luxury houses. More of them are bungalows built randomly with wooden boards and rusty iron sheets.
On the outskirts of the town, there is a circle of barbed wire and a sharpened wooden fence at one end. They can effectively prevent some low-level dangerous species from entering the town. At night, three or five hunters will act as guards, guarding the exit of the town with torches.
The night is not necessarily completely dark, in the wilderness outside the town. Blue, green, red, and strange fluorescence is swimming. Suddenly, a rough gunshot sound came from the entrance of the town. The sound from gunpowder and guns echoed in the wilderness of the night, so there was much less fluorescence wandering in the darkness.
A man wearing a cowboy hat and a patched checkered shirt. He wore a pair of jeans with multiple grinding and legs in oil-stained boots. He was holding up a double-tube shotgun with blue smoke from his muzzle. He was in his prime, with gray-blue eyes and a circle of blue beard on his face with distinct lines as hard as steel thorns.
"Damn, there are more and more dangerous species." The man whispered.
"Come on, Uzz. You are the best hunter in our town. The more dangerous you are, the more you earn? I think you are secretly happy." A bald black man joked. He had a blind eye mask on his left eye and a mechanical prosthesis on the lower joint of his right leg. The black man carried a submachine gun, which was a second-hand product, but in terms of power, it was better than the shotgun on the cowboy's hand.
"Shut up, Bieger. I'm serious." The cowboy said a little annoyed.
"Okay, Bieg, don't mess with Uz. He's in a bad mood now." The last hunter, wearing a miner's hat and a leather jacket, looked a little out of place. He was playing with a dagger in his hand, which was spinning between his five fingers as if spiritually, and reflected the fire in the darkness to pull out circles of orange rainbow light.
The black man patted his head and laughed, "By the way, I almost forgot that Lanny seemed to be giving birth to tonight."
"This is not the worst, Pig. The biggest problem is that our boss Uz seems to have not even kissed Lanni's little mouth, but he is going to give birth."
Then a hint of arrogance with a little sarcastic scent of laughter rang out at the entrance of the town, and then the angry voice of Uz echoed in the night sky: "God is above, if you don't shut up, I will use this gun to stab your asshole!"
However, the angrily shouting did not work, but instead made Bige and his two laughter louder. Just as Uz wanted to take action, a shrill cry of a woman rang out of the town. Hearing the scream, the three hunters looked into the town. The black man sighed: "I don't know which bastard is so lucky to be able to get Lannie, a hot girl. But the bitch who raised a woman actually abandoned her. He is really not a man!"
The hunter playing with the knife looked at the cowboy and said in a deep voice: "What are your plans? Uz? Lanni is no longer a girl, but a mother."
"No matter who she is, I will take care of her!" Uz's tone could not be refuted.
Under the dark night, by the side of the gate, a sigh that seemed to be there and there was nothing but drift away with the wind.
In a fairly reasonable iron house in the center of the town, several middle-aged women were circling around a bed.
"Use some more force, Lannie. I've seen his little head."
"For God's sake, you can open up a little more."
"Yes, that's it. Use the strength of your abdomen, Miss!"
Production is so difficult, but this is just the first difficulty that a new life must overcome. Fortunately, this little life has a strong mother. With a scream of hoarseness, the new life was finally born smoothly.
"Look, it's a boy." A woman with short hair wrapped the baby in a torn blanket and placed him in front of her mother's bed.
The young mother looked at her flesh and blood tiredly. Her little face, her nose was slender and straight, and her big bright red eyes were curiously looking at this strange world. His lips were pursed into a knife-like line, with a little stubbornness. Unlike other newborns, he did not cry or make a fuss, and was too quiet.
Several women next to them were talking, and they closed their mouths until they were glared by the short-haired woman. The short-haired woman said softly: "Lanni, he is your son. Have you already thought of a name?"
The young mother nodded and looked at the baby, her eyes filled with complex emotions, but she spoke in a gentle voice like the wind: "Allen, his name is Allen."
When the baby heard the mother's voice, the baby's expression slightly condensed. Then he turned his head and looked at the woman who gave birth to him. Finally, the tightly pursed lips brought an arc.
He smiled.
Seeing this tender smile, my mother felt that the flames in her heart seemed to calm down a lot.
In June 423, Alan was born this year. The first scene he remembered was his mother's beautiful and tired face. What people remember was the baby who did not cry, but no one knew. Alan, who had just been born, already has memories!
The world is still moving forward at its own pace, and the gears of time are turning tightly. The nobles on the floating island of Babylon are still seeking joy. Mobit, who has just been elected as the new president, just ended a celebration feast, and in an inconspicuous corner of the earth, an extraordinary life was born.
Fate always likes to leave a small surprise when people are unintentionally concerned.
In the 428th year of the Dawn Calendar, on the last Saturday of late autumn, a clanging sound rang in the town.
That was the assembly call for purchasing winter supplies. When a woman walked into an alley with a big bag of food, several men sitting on the corner of the street nodded and followed.
It was getting late and night fell.
In the alley, the woman had already discovered the stalker behind her. She accelerated her pace. Just as several men were about to take action, a double-tube shotgun suddenly stretched out from the shadow in the corner, and the black muzzle immediately calmed them down.
Just like five years ago, Uzping, who was still in a cowboy costume, walked out of the shadow with a shotgun. He muttered a cigarette on his mouth, and the cigarette was almost burning out. Uz spitted the cigarette butt up and said in a deep voice: "Get out of here!"
Under the threat of guns, several men gradually retreated and disappeared into the alley. Uz then put away his gun and walked towards the woman: "I came back in time. Lanni."
The woman lifted her headscarf and showed a beautiful face. She sighed softly: "I owe you another favor."
"Don't do this, I'm still expecting to get you free treatment when I'm injured." Wuz pushed up the cowboy hat with a muzzle and showed an open-minded smile.
"Come on, I'll help you carry it, it looks heavy."
The cowboy took the bag from Lannie's hand and walked back to the town home with her. It was a tin house, simple, but finally tight, enough to stop the snow and ice in winter. As soon as she entered the house, a small figure hit Lannie's arms. Lanni squatted down and picked him up. Under the light, there was a five-year-old child, but he was stronger than the children of the same age.
With rare short gray hair, it shines brightly under the light, like millions of star fireflies.
The boy had a childish face and had a knife-like outline. It can be imagined that when he grew up, he must be a handsome man. The text was first released. However, there was a small bruise on the child's cheek, which made Lanni frown: "What's going on?"
A hint of panic flashed through the boy's eyes, and then he looked at Wuz as if asking for help. Wuz smiled and shrugged, saying that he was helpless. The boy had to bite his lip and said, "Today Mos next door said I was a white-haired pig, so I..."
He looked at Lannie, who had a stern expression. The boy had to continue saying, "So I punched him in the nose, and then he pushed me to the ground, and accidentally hit him. But don't worry, mom, I have already dealt with that guy, he will definitely not dare to scold me again in the future."
Uz whistled: "That's good, Alan Moss, that little guy seems to be one year older than you."
"To be correct, he is 13 months older than me!" the boy corrected.
Lanni looked at Wuz in anger, and the latter shut up obediently. She sighed and touched the child's hair and said, "Allen, not everything can be solved with a fist. Besides, you will always encounter a guy who can't beat him. What should you do then?"
The boy's big bright red eyes turned around and blurted out: "I will run away, and then wait until I grow older and stronger, and come back to make him look good!"
Then he said proudly: "But mom, there is no guy I can't beat. The things that Uncle Wuz taught me are so useful."
Wuz's face suddenly became awkward. When Lanni turned around, he smiled bitterly, "I only teach him something to protect himself, really."
"Well, I suddenly remembered that if there was something to talk to me about, I'll leave first."
