Chapter 1 The Legend of Bloodsail

I don’t know when this legend has been circulating on the sea.

When you are sailing on the sea, if you hear someone singing in the fog, it is best to run quickly, because the meaning of the song is that the blood sail is about to appear!

No one can tell when the Blood Sail appeared on the sea, because all those who have actually seen Blood Sail are dead, and no one can survive in front of Blood Sail.

Whether it is a pirate, a merchant ship, or a naval warship of various countries, as long as it encounters a blood sail, its only fate is to be captured by the blood sail.

The blood sails do not sink the captured ships, but all the living people on the ship will be dumped on the mast and then dried blood will be placed to dye the sails red.

Some ships that are worthy of blood sails will be taken away, while ordinary merchant ships or pirate ships will be looted and float on the sea.

If these ships are lucky, they will float to the shore. When they are discovered, the survivors who have fallen off the mast will sing the weird song again, adding new notes to the horror legend of the Blood Sail.

"Does the blood sail really exist? Will we encounter it?" A merchant ship heading to the New World, a little girl was standing on the bow of the ship asking a sailor.

The little girl who took a boat to sea for the first time was at the age of curiosity about everything. During this journey, the various legendary or terrifying sea stories told by these sailors aroused the little girl's imagination, making her never get tired of these stories, and was full of curiosity for exploration.

"Oh, dear lady, Blood Sail is a very terrifying existence. No one would want to meet it on the sea." The sailor said respectfully to the little girl in front of him, but his eyes were filled with fear and awe: "In addition, it is best not to talk about Blood Sail on the sea. They will really hear it, especially don't sing that song!"

For the little girl, perhaps this is just a legendary story on the journey, but for the sailors, it is a real horror, especially the sea fog is everywhere around their boat.

The sailor's sincere admonition did not dispel the little girl's curiosity. Instead, she asked with interest: "What song? Is that song that the person who was hanged by blood sails sing? Can you sing that song?"

"No, I won't!" The sailor was even more frightened, and even trembled, saying to the little girl almost sings: "At the sea, no sailor will sing that song, absolutely no! Unless he wants to drag the whole boat to die together!"

The sailor's appearance and tone obviously scared the little girl, making her take a step back.

"Sir, you scared my daughter." A well-dressed gentleman walked over from behind the sailor, picked up the scared little girl, and looked at the sailor with dissatisfaction.

Facing a gentleman whose identity is obviously much higher than himself, the sailor lowered his head humbly and restrainedly. This was the passenger on the ship, and even the captain had to treat him politely. If he offended the other party, the result would definitely not be something that a sailor could afford.

At this time, the first mate also came over, and the sailors on the boat had a conflict with the noble passengers. As the first mate, he had to control the situation so that things would not go uncontrollable.

"Sir, what can I do to serve you?" The first mate tried to make himself look more polite and imitate the appearance of the noble housekeepers he had seen in London as much as possible.

But it is obvious that even the sailors who have been wandering on the sea for many years are rough even when they pay tribute. To the gentleman's eyes, it is like an orangutan imitating humans.

However, as a gentleman, you can still judge the situation. This is at sea, your wealth, life and daughter are both in the hands of others. Although the other party may not want to offend him due to his status, if an irreversible conflict really occurs and is thrown into the sea, the other party will certainly be wanted by the navy for committing pirates, but he must have sank to the bottom of the sea.

So he just nodded to the first mate and said, "It's nothing, but Mr. Jung, please remind your sailors, don't tell my daughter any more about pirates and blood sails. This is so inconsistent with the lady! God, I don't want my daughter to think about pirates, treasures and adventures in the future!"

Although I don’t want to offend people, appropriate warnings are still necessary.

The first mate obviously understood the gentleman's meaning and bowed to the gentleman very humbly, saying that he would definitely warn the sailors not to use some boring sea stories to deceive the noble lady.

After receiving the first mate's answer, the gentleman was obviously satisfied. His face calmed down a little before continuing to ask: "When will we arrive at Port Royal? I received an invitation from Governor Visby Swan to attend his daughter's wedding. I don't want to be late."

"Please rest assured that our trip was smooth all the way. Although this sea fog would delay a little time, if there were no accidents, we would be able to arrive at Port Royal in the afternoon. If you are hungry, you can go for lunch with the noble lady. Today the chef prepared bacon and sausages, and rare white bread." The first mate said to the gentleman.

Hearing the first mate say this, the gentleman nodded reservedly and looked at his daughter: "Sweetheart, do you want to go for lunch?"

"Yes!" The little girl seemed to be scared by the sailor just because she just held her father and nodded.

When the gentleman and the little girl walked towards the cabin, the first mate's face instantly retracted, turned his head and looked fiercely at the sailor who had caused trouble just now, and whispered to him: "Damn it, can't you care about your broken mouth? That's a friend of the Governor of Port Royal. If we get involved with him, we won't have any good results!"

"But that little girl is talking about Xuefan! The first mate, that is Xuefan! That is a taboo!" The sailor tried to argue, but when he saw the first mate angry, he still shut up embarrassedly, but his face still showed an expression of dissatisfaction.

Seeing the sailor's dissatisfaction, the first mate knew that he had to calm his emotions, otherwise it would be very dangerous for the crew to be resentful at sea.

The distinguished guests on the boat may be able to pat their butts and leave after arriving at the port, but the first mate himself still has to spend time with these sailors, so he calmed down his face and said to the sailors: "The blood sail is indeed a taboo that should not be mentioned, but they will not understand these taboos at sea. They are not people who make a living at sea, but they will get off the boat soon, just endure it. When you arrive at Port Royal, I will tell the captain, "

"I understand, the first mate." When the first mate said he would invite him to drink, the sailor obviously looked much better.
