Chapter 268: Destroy Webber

November 1, Halloween.

While children in Philadelphia were knocking door to door and demanding candy, adults gathered at the Vachovia Center Arena to watch the opening match between the Bucks and the Sixers.

After getting Weber from the Kings last season, the 76ers returned to the playoffs. However, the combination of Iverson and Weber did not achieve the expected results of the management. Although both of them were super giants, they were eliminated when they encountered the Pacers in the first round.

This season, they are ready to achieve better results. In the draft, Iguodala chose to supplement the flaws in the No. 3 position.

But Gao Ming didn't care about this. He looked at the stadium carefully and hadn't been here for more than a year, so there seemed to be no change.

He didn't care about the winner and loser of this game. What he cared about was what Yi Jianlian would play when facing Weber?

Soon, he chose the starting lineup: Dirty Zha, Yi Jianlian, Granger, Reed and Ford.

The reason for starting for Ford is to deal with Iverson.

After the 76ers' starter was announced, it was not beyond the clever expectations: Steven Hunter, Weber, Iguodala, Korver, and Iverson.

This season, in order to retain Dalem Porter, the 76ers had to let Mark Jackson go. Before the season, Dalem Porter was injured, and Steven Hunter could only reach the starting position.

Due to injuries, Webber's athletic ability has declined. So the jump ball with Yi Jianlian was Steven Hunter, and Yi Jianlian won the jump.

Ford took the ball to the frontcourt, hung the ball to Yi Jianlian, and then brought Iverson aside.

Yi Jianlian held the ball and leaned against Weber, turned around and rushed over from him. If they were put together, Weber would definitely be able to block Yi Jianlian, but now he can only watch Yi Jianlian rush towards the basket.

Steven wanted to go over to make up for defense, but as soon as he stepped into the penalty area, Yi Jianlian had already flew up. He quickly dodged to the side and avoided Yi Jianlian's feet.

"boom!"

The entire stadium suddenly became quiet, leaving only the music on the radio. In order to maintain professional qualities, DJ said helplessly: "Dunk from Yi!"

"oh--"

A burst of cheers suddenly erupted in the stadium. Everyone looked over in annoyed manner and found that it was a group of Chinese. Well! Chinese people in the NBA have always supported Chinese players. Only without Chinese players will support their respective parent teams. At most, they will cheer when they score goals on both sides.

The domestic fans watching the live broadcast shouted wildly: "Space Yi is so handsome!"

"This ball is so exciting!"

Such violent dunks are often performed in China. But this is the first time in the NBA.

Gao Ming was also very satisfied and dunked up, which shows that Yi Jianlian is in very good condition. Judging from Weber's slow reaction just now, he really can't beat him.

Since that's the case, Gao Ming is relieved!

Webber shook his head helplessly. How could he have made this rookie so arrogant before? He slapped him off with a slap, and it was all the fault of this damn injury!

The 76ers attacked, and Iverson took the ball to the frontcourt.

Ford opened his hands and stood in front of Iverson. Iverson looked at Ford solemnly. He didn't care about most NBA players, but there was only one player that annoyed him, that is, players who could keep up with his speed.

And Ford is the best among them.

Of course, Iverson would not be afraid of Ford, because although Ford is fast, his strength is not strong. So, after Iverson walked through a butterfly step, he saw that Ford's center of gravity had not changed, and immediately took a step forward and squeezed Ford and rushed into the penalty area.

Dirty pierced quickly to assist in defense, Iverson immediately paused, made a quick move, and made a mid-range shot.

Gao Ming shook his head gently. Iverson was still that Iverson, and it was still so difficult to defend.

The game continued, the Bucks began to play the hammer tactics, and Yi Jianlian blocked Granger. But Iguodala made the pick-and-roll speed very fast, Granger had no chance, and Ford could only pass to Reed, and Reed made a three-pointer.

After returning to Gao Ming's men to play, Reed found that the game seemed to be easier. He only needed a simple running position to get a mobile phone. The last time he played so easily was like three years ago, right?

Iverson missed the shot, Yi Jianlian quickly grabbed the rebound, handed it to Reed casually, and then rushed to the front court like a wind.

Weber didn't keep up, and his speed was not as good as back then. Reed made a straight pass and handed the ball to Ford in front. Ford looked back and found that the 76ers didn't keep up and threw the ball directly on the rebound. The basketball rebounded, and Yi Jianlian caught up from behind, jumped up suddenly, reached out to snatch the ball into the basket.

"oh--"

The Chinese fans at the scene once again set off a wave of cheers, and it was obvious that they were conquered by Yi Jianlian's all-connect dunk.

"Follow him!" 76ers head coach Maurice Chicks shouted, but no matter how much he shouted, he couldn't increase Webber's speed.

He is old!

Facing the old Weber, Yi Jianlian played easily. He used his speed to break through Weber and went to the basket, and Steven had to come back to make up for defense.

Yi Jianlian passed the ball with a hit and sent the basketball to Jaeza's hand. Jaeza had a good mid-range distance and made a shot at an open space.

Weber was followed by Yi Jianlian throughout the game, and there was not much good chance of making a phone call. So he mentioned the high position and played a pick-and-roll with Iverson.

But Gao Ming had guessed this tactic long ago. Yi Jianlian followed Weber closely, and Granger let go of Iguodala, assisted in defense from the side, and attacked Iverson with Ford.

Iverson passed the ball. Iguodala was just about to shoot, and Reed had already assisted in defense. Iguodala passed it to Korver again, and Ford had arrived. Korver had a good three-pointer at an open position, but he was not in a good match. He did not make a shot and passed it to Webber in a second.

Weber held the ball and wanted to play Yi Jianlian alone. Yi Jianlian moved out of the way and let Weber break into the penalty area, then followed him from the side, interfering with his shooting.

The basketball hit the basket and Yi Jianlian grabbed the frontcourt rebound.

Today, the 76ers' rebounds were not well protected. Steven was blocked outside the penalty area by being dirty. Weber was not Yi Jianlian's opponent.

Before the first quarter was finished, Yi Jianlian and Yuza jointly grabbed 15 rebounds, 10 more rebounds than the 76ers.

Losing the rebounds means losing the initiative in the game.

But what really concerns the 76ers fans is that Weber seems to be blown up by Yi Jianlian.

If Gao Ming knew that they thought so, he would definitely tell them: It seems that Webber was either beaten up.

The defensive end cannot limit Yi Jianlian at all, and the offensive end cannot be opened, and even rebounding can only be picked up the rest. If this is not called being beaten, then what does it mean to be beaten?

Weber looked at Yi Jianlian running speechlessly, showing his envious look: It's so good to be young!
