Chapter 10 External Admission

Bud is one of the only three external enrollment students among the same officers of Winters, and should be the most powerful of the three.

Because most of the external enrollment of the Army Officers Academy is the artillery department who has talents with mathematical talent admitted to the artillery department.

But Bard studied Cavalry, which had been without external enrollment for six years before Bard.

When they were still in the Duke of the Mountain in the United Republic, they started with Bad's grandfather and lived by raising horses for Earl Menne's family.

From when the old earl was still alive until the old earl's grandson inherited the title.

Whenever he had time, Bud's grandfather would take his two sons to dress up more than ten acres of land at home. Although life was hard, at least he didn't have to worry about not being well-fed.

But Bud's grandfather never dreamed of the outbreak of the sovereign war.

In their eyes, life is peaceful and food and clothing, and they never thought that this state would be broken.

When the Garevine sect destroyed the church everywhere, the Bad family had already vaguely felt the storm coming.

However, their family and three generations were all the duty grooms who made a living by raising horses for the earl. They could not do anything, all they could do was feed the earl's horses.

When the first Guitucheng riot and the militia seized the city.

The Bad family was feeding the Count's horses, but the Count did not move because he was not a royalist; when the first riot in Guitu was suppressed, the army of the governor appointed by the emperor entered the city.

The Bad family was feeding the Count's horses, but the Count did not move because he did not support the militia; when the second riot in Guitucheng, the militias colluded with each other and trapped the Governor at the fortress.

The Bad family was feeding the Count's horses, and the Count continued to hold his troops, so he chose to wait and see; when the second suppression of Guitu City failed, the Battle of Golden Horse Saddle ended, and the nobles of the Duke of Shanxian were wiped out.

The Bud family was feeding the Count's horses, but the Count still kept his troops and planned to continue to wait and see; finally, the emperor released his evil dog, the Duke of Ally.

The Duke of Allyn announced that all the nobles who did not die in the Battle of Golden Saddle are rebels.

The Bud family is giving the Count... Oh, there is no need to feed the horses this time.

Because all the war horses were taken to war by Earl Menai, the fence nobles led by the Duke of the Mountain could no longer watch on the wall.

The Bard family changed their careers to feed the Count, feed the cows, sheep, and chickens and ducks.

The Duke of Ally committed suicide by defeating himself, and the Bard family thought that he could finally continue to feed the Count's horses.

However, they did not expect that the militia and the noble army of the anti-imperial army, which were still fighting side by side yesterday, began to become popular again today.

The knights in helmets and armor patrol the Royal Avenue, killing all suspicious pedestrians without trial, just to intercept messengers who were connecting the militias in various cities; swordsmen who were acting alone wandered in the woods, carrying long swords and medleys wrapped in black cloth, waiting for an opportunity to assassinate any noble princes they could find.

The civil war finally ended with the great victory of the militia, and no duke was elected. The land was renamed [United Republic of the Seventeen Provinces in the Foreground], referred to as the United Provincial Republic.

Bard's family no longer had to worry about going back to feed the Count's horses, because the militia's knife was faster than the Duke of Aryan, and the attack was even more ruthless than the Duke of Aryan.

There was no more Earl Menai, and there was no one left in the family of Earl Menai.

The Union Republic will no longer fall into the hands of the nobles, because there are no living nobles in the Union dare to claim titles.

The Bard family thought that things would end like this: although they could no longer feed the earl's horses, they could at least go back to manage the little land at home.

The Bards did not expect that they would wait for Richard IV's command in person.

And it is no longer just a place in the Union Republic, the Royal Corps of the Sea Blue, the Duke of the Plateau... The entire two mountains and the empire were swept into the whirlpool.

Originally, the Count Menai, the current Monai Province, was beaten into white again.

Unripe crops were trampled and burned, and the defeated soldiers were more terrifying than robbers.

During the war, Bard's father lost his father, brother, sister and all his children.

The Bard family went bankrupt completely, they had only a small piece of land but no food.

In desperation, Bud's father mortgaged the small piece of land at home to the Green Heart Monastery near the village.

The couple hid under the protection of the monastery and became tenant farmers of the monastery.

The sovereign war was completely over, the emperor withdrew his troops, the Senas Alliance was officially established, and the couple gave birth to a chin.

For Bud's parents, there was no way out for the tenant farmer's days.

They could only barely afford food and clothing, and were destined to not save enough money to redeem the land.

So the only thing Bad's parents could count on was to let Bad enter the monastery and be called a monk.

But monks are genuine registered clergymen. How can children from poor families become monks?

The monastery will not accept a young man with nothing. If you want to become a monk, you must bring a share of property to the monastery.

The monastery only welcomes "brothers" with land deeds and gold and silver to surrender.

Since I can remember, Bard has been a servant in the monastery, first responsible for low-level chores such as cleaning the toilet. He is diligent, careful in his work, and taciturn.

So he quickly got rid of the lowest chores and switched to cleaning the hand-copying room and library of the Green Heart Monastery.

A kind monk taught him to read and speak the old language, and through the old language/ancient language dictionary, Bad taught himself the old language.

Since he was able to read, Bard spent all his free time in the library of the Green Heart Monastery.

He has read a large number of ancient books and preserved materials in monasteries, and has taught himself the "Mathematical Science" of ancient imperial scholars, "Principles of Geometry" and the "Medical Classics" of Fleimans.

At the same time, his status in the monastery continued to improve: from cleaning the library to cleaning precious holy tools and relics of the saints, and then became the personal servant of the monastery dean, responsible for helping the dean make accounts.

But the more Bad knew about the monastery, the more desperate he became. Because he knew that he would never be able to become a monk, and he would never want to spend his whole life as a tenant farmer or servant.

By chance, Bard learned from the monastery visitors that the existence of the Army Officer Academy and learned that the Army Officer Academy does not have tuition fees and there are no restrictions on application.

So when Bud was sixteen years old, he decided to make a try, and set out from his hometown Gerald Village with the six small silver shields and three pieces of black bread, and hiked 100 kilometers to Guitu City.

With his ancestral horse-raising skills and outstanding cultural course exam results, Bard miraculously was admitted to the cavalry department of the Army Officers Academy, and he became the only off-campus enrollment student in the Cavalry department in six years.

Bard and Winters met in horse school class.

[Note: Horse studies and Equestrianism are two courses]

Compared to equestrianism, Bud is far inferior to Winters; but in terms of his ability to take care of horses, Winters can't catch up with Bud even when playing horses.

When they first met, Winters was just curious about where this strange farmer young man learned to clamp his hoofs?

As we met over time, Winters discovered that Bud had advantages that he did not have, such as being gentle, patient, and rarely losing his temper.

Winters lacks these qualities, so he unconsciously approaches people with these qualities.

And Winters' friendship without giving also made Bard feel comfortable.
