9. Jumanji's Game

A sunny morning.☆→☆→,

This is a high-end community, with birch trees growing lushly on the roadside, and light spots projected on the ground.

On the front yard lawn of a villa, a white man was throwing baseballs with his eight or nine-year-old son. His six-year-old son sat on the steps in front of the door, looking happy.

"Good catch," the man said, catching the baseball thrown by his son. Everything looked so warm.

This game lasted for a moment, and the man stopped and said to his youngest son sitting on the steps: "Okay, Danny, it's your turn."

The smile on the eldest son's face disappeared, and he spread his hands: "What? I haven't had enough fun yet."

On the contrary, the youngest son on the steps stood up happily.

"Enough, 25 beats per person, we agreed."

"It's not fair." The boy complained.

"It's fair. Hurry Danny, it's your turn. Then I'm going to work for a while."

"You have to know that you are not the only one who has a chance." Danny passed by everyone proudly.

“Not the only one who has a chance.”

"Children..." The father opened his mouth, but in the end he didn't say anything. "Okay..."

He carefully taught his youngest son Danny, and picked up the ball to let him see clearly: "Look at the ball, you will definitely do this time. Are you ready?"

After the words came to an end, he carefully and slowly threw the ball away gently.

A fist-sized baseball drew a parabola in the air, Danny raised his hand and jumped up, and then...the ball hit the baseball glove and bounced to the side.

The boy sitting back on the steps shrugged at his father.

The man comforted, "Okay. It's a good attempt. I didn't serve the ball well, so I won't blame you."

He hurriedly picked up the ball that Danny threw and taught Danny in a more gentle tone. Then he threw the ball high.

Danny raised his head high and stretched his arms to wait for the whereabouts of his request. The boy suddenly rushed over from the slanting ground, jumped up and grabbed the baseball, rolled on the lawn, cheering proudly.

"You annoying!" Danny screamed angrily, pulled off his gloves and threw them on the boy, ran back to the villa angrily, and closed the door heavily.

...

"Danny?" the man walked into the house with a baseball glove and shouted tentatively. Without getting a reply, he stepped on the stairs to the second floor. He was familiar with the way to find Danny sitting in the narrow freight elevator on the wall.

"Danny, you shouldn't say that to your brother in swear words."

"But that's the truth." Danny's fingers doodle something on the wall.

"Boy. When I was six..."

"Six years and nine months," Danny corrected.

"Well... when I was six years and nine months old, it was difficult for me to catch the ball."

“But it’s not difficult for Walter.”

"Walter is ten years old this year."

"So? He is better than me in everything."

"How could it be that his piano is not as good as you."

After a soft persuasion, Danny finally put down his grudges for a while, climbed out of the freight elevator and trotted back to his room.

The father followed behind and was still trying to use words to make the younger son and brother get along well with each other.

"He has strengths, and you have strengths. People have strengths like this."

But soon he knew that these words were useless. He was working in the desk next to the living room and was soon harassed by his two sons, and the brothers became more and more arguing until the man couldn't stand it.

"Don't bother me! Give me some space, okay?" the man stood up and shouted at the two of them.

The two boys immediately calmed down.

The man rubbed his forehead and sat down, and said as gentle as possible: "Sometimes, children, you will all grow up suddenly. I want you to be like this today."

After more than ten minutes.

The two young sons who were quarreling came to the study again and knocked over the water cup during the dispute. The water sprinkled on the new drawings he had just designed.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" The youngest son repeated like a repeater.

The conflicts in the family are so obvious. Both of them think that the other party shared the family affection they deserve, and the father also understands this, but he is too busy to find time to spend time with his sons. There may be only one hour a day... half an hour... maybe less than half an hour.

But the man rushed to the company for a meeting, so he wouldn't know.

Before leaving, he lingered their sister, a girl who was so angry that she was lingering in the hotel all day. At this time, she was staying in the bedroom upstairs to make up for sex and woke her up and asked her to take care of her two younger brothers.

The girl acted very impatient and reluctantly agreed to fool her father. After he left, she climbed down from the bed. She stretched out her waist and pulled the curtains on her face, and fell back to the bed again.

After a few seconds, I remembered something again, grabbed the headphones and put them on, and increased the volume.

Then... let them make a fuss downstairs.

Her actions were correct.

After my father left for more than ten minutes, the quarrel struck again.

The incident started because of the boring young son Danny, throwing a baseball to his elder brother Walter who was playing baseball games on the sofa, but hit Walter in the face with malicious intentions. Although it was not heavy, it was enough to anger Walter.

Chasing each other and running upstairs, Walter was familiar with the way to find Danny huddled inside in the freight elevator.

The freight elevator is very small, and only 6-year-old Danny can get into it. Its purpose is to transport some objects to the ground without carrying them on the stairs.

So in order to get peace for the time being, and in order to retaliate, Walter pulled down the rope and put the freight elevator and his younger brother into the basement

A basement that is dim and dull all year round, full of spider webs and dusty.

This is also the place that Danny fears the most. All monsters and monsters are hidden here...

At first, as expected, Danny climbed out of the freight elevator and heard a strange movement. So he ran to the basement stairs, but accidentally found a flying chess piece under the stairs, covered in dust.

Danny picked it up and walked up the steps.

Walter was still slung on the sofa and watched TV.

"You are really mean." He vented his dissatisfaction with his brother.

It took Danny a long time to come up, so Walter said, "Dad won't let you play there."

The child had a changeable temperament. He seemed to have forgotten his previous disgust for his brother. He held the packaging box larger than him in his hands and walked to Walter: "Look at what I found in the basement."

Walter glanced at him: "It looks broken and old."

"I like."

"Yes, of course you like it, it's for children to play with." Walter said bickering.

Danny kneeled on the floor and opened the flying chess packaging box.

This is a table-sized chessboard with slightly simple paints painted on it. The texture looks like something from the last century.

"Walter, this is so cool, you should come and have a look." Danny invited Walter. "Would you like to play with me?"

"No."

"I won't cheat."

"You will."

Danny was lying on the floor, staring at the chessboard without even exploding his eyes. Suddenly he saw the twisting mechanism below the chessboard. He reached out and twisted the mechanism twice, and the red button that was originally trapped in the chessboard suddenly popped up.
