Chapter 322 Atonement

Vincent, originally from the United Republic of the Netherlands, was born in a civilian family, and joined the Christian Society since childhood. In the 39th year of Wanli, he was sent to the East by the Holy See, first as a Jesuit in Macau. He served as a member of the Sinicization Leading Group of the Oriental Diocese, the incense master of Songjiang Prefecture, Jiangnan Province, the helm leader of the Japanese church, the director of the Academic Affairs Office of the Oriental Diocese (and the director of the Saint Seiya Training Office), the vice president of the Oriental School, and the deputy leader of the Saint Seiya promotion review group (enjoying the treatment of a cardinal).

In the 47th year of Wanli, Wen participated in the military operations against the Eastern Tatar rebels led by the great Archbishop of the East, St. John Pang Maichen, and made outstanding contributions. He took the lead in proposing slogans such as "efficiency equals everything", "the dead demon is the good demon", and was affectionately called "the living bridge connecting the friendship between the East and the West" and "the best talent that the Netherlands contributed to the world."

In addition, Vincent was determined to enhance the financial, material and military capabilities of the Eastern Diocese, and was committed to moving the Vatican Church to the East. He was later promoted to the Vatican Cardinal, the Golden Saint Saint King of Aries, and made great contributions in the democratic election of the pope by His Excellency Pang Maichen.

In 1635 of the Western calendar, Vincent presided over the ceremony of the crowning of the Pope by His Excellency Pang Maichen, and then presided over the project of the Pang Maichen Cathedral, which was a great art treasure created by the wisdom of European masters in the Renaissance era and the hard work of skilled craftsmen in the East.

However, in the project, Vincent favored his relatives and fed his personal pockets, and was very popular with the financial resources of Western dioceses, which was deeply criticized by Catholic Western dioceses.

In 1652, after casting a glorious vote to support the hereditary system of the Pope, Vincent died in Milan, Italy at the age of 84.

Upon hearing the news of his death, Pope Pang Maichen cried and gave him the honor of "the only fighter among God's people", and was named the first-class Marquis of Friendship in the Empire, and the posthumous title of "Zhongzheng". Vincent's work was indeed reliable. At his suggestion, Abatai decided to use the principle of voluntary action to solve the problem.

The core content of the voluntary principle is atonement and sacrifice.

The first batch of 500 Eight Banners officers and soldiers who participated in the voluntary action collectively participated in the atonement ceremony presided over by Vincent. After the ceremony, under Vincent's dispatch, each of the Eight Banners soldiers got a little bean.

According to the rules, the amount of these beans will determine whether a person can be reborn in the Pure Land and bathed in the spring light of God.

"Death may not be the end, nor may it be pain. Sometimes, living is sin, Amen!"

The results were soon announced. With the help of 150 other companions, the 350 Eight Banners soldiers who received the most beans came to a flat riverside.

In order to allow the companions to set off with peace of mind, the Eight Banners soldiers responsible for excavation worked very hard. They dug the pit as deep as possible and then pushed the companions deeper into the middle as much as possible. These will end very quickly.

"Take, help, take."

Vincent put forward a three-character slogan and quickly launched the next batch of projects through 150 already efficient Eight Banners soldiers. Vincent, as the Party A, worked hard and always insisted on being on the front line until the entire project was steadily constructed.

As representatives of Party B, Abatai and Dege, etc., have always been concerned about the progress of the project. Because the project is too large and involves too many people, and the existence of family affection factors, it is inevitable that some human factors outside the system will appear.

For example, Degele couldn't bear to see God in advance, his fifth brother, Mangourtai's youngest son, went to see God in private and secretly gave Vincent ten taels of gold.

For example, the surrendered surrender Chang Shu, Baiyintu, including Fan Hun, Fu Aman and others who have been fighting against the Jin Dynasty for more than a year behind enemy lines, hope that Lord Vincent can be compatible and that their brother-in-law, brother-in-law, or nephew can be taken from the list.

In this regard, Vincent expressed his understanding that in fact, because he raised funds to participate in the Pingnu War led by the Archbishop, he had already been in debt of up to 68%.

Therefore, taking down some people without violating the total number of people and filling up others is not against the conscience for Vincent, nor is it unfaithful to God, nor is it concealed from His Excellency the Archbishop.

The 5,000 Eight Banners officers and soldiers who failed to get the opportunity to atone for sins and sacrifice ushered in their new life. In order to prevent them from having any ideological burden, Eunuch Wei ordered firecrackers to be set off at the atonement pit and hundreds of tables were placed. Combined with the national characteristics of the Jurchens and Han people, in addition to the rebirth presided over by Vincent, some shamans jumped a few times, and some officers and soldiers in the army who had been monks and Taoists also expressed their feelings voluntarily.

With the help of these enthusiastic and kind religious figures, the Eight Banners officers and soldiers who went to the Western Paradise to see God were in a very stable mood and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements for their affairs afterwards.

Abatai and others also expressed their gratitude to Eunuch Wei for the one-stop funeral service specially provided to the officers and soldiers of the Eight Banners.

"As long as you change your mind and be a good person, nothing is that."

The father-in-law then exchanged some opinions on the resettlement work of the remaining 5,000 Eight Banners officials with Abatai, Degele and others.

My father-in-law proposed that the Pingnu War has ended now, and the following should be specific arrangements for restoring stability and restoring production in Jianzhou area.

However, considering that the officers and soldiers of Jianzhou have certain combat effectiveness, the officers and soldiers are essentially good, but because of Nurhaci's personal ambition, the officers and soldiers became victims of this rebellion, so the father-in-law decided to give the remaining officers and soldiers an opportunity to show their power.

The opportunity for this performance is to organize the 5,000 officers and soldiers under Abatai into two corpses, one of which belongs to the Emperor's personal army's Guard Division, and the other corps belongs to the Emperor's personal army's Second Division, which is Liu's headquarters.

"There are still troubles in the country. If you do it well, you will still have great success."

This kind of resettlement is for the sake of the future. The beacons in Liaodong stopped, but the beacons in the country never stopped. Not to mention the distance, just in the southwest, there will be a big rebellion in Sichuan soon.

This great rebellion called the "Sa'an Rebellion" was no less destructive than that of the Jiannu Rebellion in Liaodong. In his previous life, the war lasted from the first year of Tianqi to the tenth year of Chongzhen, which lasted for 17 years, affecting the four provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi, with more than one million casualties, and a large-scale war lasted for 9 years.

This great rebellion directly led to the Ming Dynasty having to invest military and financial forces for pacifying slaves and pacifying enemies in the southwest region, which seriously hit the Ming Dynasty's national strength, and eventually revolt with the peasant uprising, and the Jianzhou rebels crushed the Ming Dynasty together.

In other words, this rebellion in the southwest helped Jiannu from Liaodong very much.

So now, my father-in-law asked Abatai and his friends to go to the southwest to quell the "Sa'an Rebellion", both in terms of morality and reality, and it is reasonable.
