Chapter 62: Nomination Certificate (Part 2)

The navy soldier stuffed the torn turban into Haileding's hand, picked up the pistol left by Crowe, and then walked out of the alley as if nothing had happened.

"A Jin!" The mouse lieutenant with a stingy look on the face frowned and ran over, "Where have you just been?"

"I've gone to the toilet, sir!" Ah Jin, a navy newcomer, stood up straight and said without changing his face.

...

Clow trotted aimlessly, trying to stay away from the scene. Although he was still a little panicked, he had calmed down and could start thinking about the problem.

The Red Beard Pirates, Clow dared not go back. If Barbarossa found out that he had killed Heileding, he would have stripped him alive. Now, when he recalled, he left too many traces at the scene. Not only did the pistol he carried with him be thrown down, there were also witnesses.

He could not believe Alcadio, because he didn't know whether Alcadio would save him when Barbarossa knew the truth and asked for someone from Alcadio.

It is not particularly difficult for Clo to leave the city first, with the energy of Barbarossa and Arcadio.

Maybe he should leave the Kingdom of Navia, or even the East China Sea.

Clow thought about these with a pale face, but he didn't notice that there was always someone behind him staring at him secretly. When he entered a path with few people, he just turned the corner and was hit hard with a blunt weapon in the back of his head and fainted.

Tony, who had been lying in ambush after listening to the phone bug news, held Crow's soft body, smiled and signaled Edmund and Alamis who arrived later. The three of them set up Crow together and quickly left the scene.

When Clow woke up again, he was already in a strange yard, but the faint stench still filled his nose told him that it was still near the slums of Kalmar City.

He lay on the ground, his head still had a vague pain, but he did not rush to get up, and carefully observed the surroundings. Two oil lamps were lit in the yard, but the dim light seemed to drop in the bucket under the night sky, and the darkness still occupied most of the space in the yard.

"Get up, don't pretend to be dead." A familiar voice came into Crow's ears, causing his body to stiffen.

Looking up slowly, Clow first saw a pair of raised legs, and then saw the familiar face.

"Shi, Stolt?" Crow looked surprised and confused, and there was a hint of fear of the unknown.

The expression on Stolt in front of him, or William's face, was completely different from Clow's previous impression. He had no impulse and rebelliousness, and had a calmness that made Clow feel confused.

"Welcome to us, Clow." William stood up from his chair and spread his hands at Clow.

Following his words, Edmund, Alamis, Tony, Sherlock and others who were standing in the shadow corner of the yard walked out of the shadow one after another.

Clow turned his head and glanced at everyone with different expressions, and asked, "What do you mean?"

"I mean," William smiled, "Now, we're in the same group."

"You killed Heileding..."

William's words made Clow's face change drastically, and he quickly interrupted: "Don't talk nonsense!"

Tony smiled maliciously. Edmund, Alamis, Sherlock and others were infected by him and also made a burst of unknown laughter. Clow seemed even more uneasy. He didn't know why Stolt, who had originally looked like a nasty man, suddenly became so mysterious, and why did he know that he killed Heileding?

"Why lie to me? We are now grasshoppers on a rope, and you can kill Heiding to take revenge, thanks to my help," William said.

Clow opened his eyes wide. Although his psychological quality was still a little worse due to experience, he was quite flexible. Combined with a series of clues, he actually had some guesses in his mind. Unexpectedly, William admitted directly in front of him that the reason why Heileding died at his hands was indeed someone planning behind the scenes, and that person was standing in front of him.

Thinking that because of the accidental killing of Heleding, he might have to hide in Tibet for the rest of his life and live on escape, an angry feeling suddenly filled Clow's heart.

He growled, bounced from the ground like a wounded beast, and rushed towards William, who seemed to be unprepared.

Bang!

Like a predecessor, William directly raised his right arm and his palms formed claws, just blocking the path of Clow's rushing forward, making Clow's neck stuck as if he was deliberately sending it to his palm.

The power of Clow himself rushing forward and William's double pressure, Clow suddenly felt his breathing suffocated and his throat was almost crushed.

William stuck Clowe's neck. His [strong] expertise, coupled with his many years of sword training, made him easily remove Clowe's feet from the ground with one hand.

William's face was gone, and he looked at Crow who was struggling and slowly said, "You can't afford to offend Barbarossa and Arcadio, and you can't afford to offend me either!"

William threw Clow on the ground, who covered his throat and coughed repeatedly, his eyes circling, and he thought about the situation.

He had calmed down a little. Not to mention the sudden "Stort" in front of him, there were still a few other accomplices in the yard. He could only suffer the loss.

"I thought that helping you and letting you kill Heiding with your own hands will make you feel my kindness." William squatted in front of Clow, and his face regained his kindness.

"I didn't kill Heileding, you framed me!" Clow argued.

"No," William shook his finger, "You killed Heiding. Heiding once humiliated you in front of the ship's recognition, and if I guess correctly, you must have told Arcadio of Barbarossa's embezzlement of the spoils, and then, not long before the incident, you left the nearby bar in full view."

"There are motives and time for committing crimes. You must be holding a grudge against Heiding and worrying that Barbarossa will punish you again because of the rumor. What's even more terrifying is that he asked Heiding to punish you, so you decided to kill Heiding and then escape from the Redbeard Pirates. Perhaps, in order to clear the suspicion, you will deliberately arrange some fake clues on the scene." William analyzed seriously.

Clowe's face was pale. What scared him the most was that William had two things not said. He also dropped a pistol at the scene of the crime and left a witness.

In fact, even without these, what William just said is enough. The pirate ship is not a court, and Barbarossa is not a fair and strict judge. The logical chain listed by William is enough to make Barbarossa list Crow as an important suspect. Without further evidence, Barbarossa will choose to execute Crow.
