Chapter 215: The Legend of Fang Xiucai's Hometown

A few days after the New Year's Examination, Fang Yingwu, Fang Xiucai, disappeared from the county school again. He waved his sleeves and took away only the provincial examination results. Then he only appeared among his classmates in Chun'an when Shen Xunxian left. This time, it was to see off Shen Xun.

Regarding Fang Yingwu's disappearance again, the classmates all expressed a little relief because they really didn't know how to deal with Fang Yingwu.

Fang Yingwu also said that he was more suitable to deal with officials and scholar-bureaucrats, and he didn't know how to deal with classmates who were still a little naive and could be so cute even if they followed the crowd.

Anyway, Fang Yingwu left the noisy county school and went home to study and prepare for the exam.

It is already September, and the provincial examination is in August next year, which means that the provincial examination is less than a year away.

And it is impossible to leave until the last minute. Under normal circumstances, scholars who take the provincial examination always have to go to the provincial capital two or three months in advance. First, to familiarize themselves with the examination environment, second, to inquire about the latest trends in advance, and third, to go late. I can't find a place to live.

After calculating this, and excluding the Spring Festival period, the remaining review time is actually about half a year. Fang Yingwu naturally has a plan for his studies. He studies and reviews at his home in Huaxi in the first half of every month.

In the second half of the month, I went to Xianggong Shang of Juanju Academy to receive the inhumane eight-part essay devil training and the cynicism of Senior Brother Cheng. In any case, this is better than exposing the truth in public.

It was rare for Fang Yingwu to have such a long period of quiet time, which was barely leisurely. During this half-year period, apart from reading and writing, he didn't have to think about anything, think about nothing, or worry about any livelihood.

Fang Yingwu had a premonition that it would be difficult for him to have such a long and carefree reading time in the future.

As a legendary young man, Fang Yingwu always had various magical stories with him as the protagonist in his hometown, which were spread orally among the people and in the notes of literati.

Story 1: Fang should repay debts with things.

Fang Yingwu's father owed a huge sum of thirty taels of silver to Wang Dahu's family in a neighboring village, but he never returned from a study trip. In order to recover the debt, Wang Dahu kidnapped the young man Fang Yingwu and took him home, and threatened Fang Yingwu with If the debt is not repaid, the goods will be converted into slaves for use.

Fang Yingwu showed no fear. When he was imprisoned in the Wang family, he still studied calmly. But Fang Yingwu, a smart beet boy, figured out a way to escape. He spent a tael of silver to bribe a servant of the Wang family to help.

Fang Yingwu asked the servant to put on a gorgeous costume and pretend to be the Kuixing of Wenchang Temple, who was in charge of the world's cultural fortune. He also made an agreement with him that when he was studying at night, he would have the servant stand behind him in the role of Kuixing. Pretend to be a god.

At night, when Wang Dahu came to Fang Yingwu to collect debts, he heard the sound of reading outside, and couldn't help but look inside through the gap in the window. At that time, he saw a faint figure in the shadow behind Fang Yingwu. The image of the Kuixing Immortal emerges.

So Wang Dahu was completely shocked. He believed that Fang Yingwu was protected by Kuixing and would have a bright future! In the end, Wang Dahu generously waived the Fang family's debts and cried out that he wanted to marry his daughter to Fang Yingwu (doubtful) .

Later, Fang Yingwu found the servant pretending to be Kuixing, expressed his appreciation for his superb acting skills and thanked him.

Unexpectedly, the servant fell to his knees with a plop. He shouted repeatedly: "Please forgive me, young Master! That night I was worried that I would be punished by the master after being exposed, but I didn't pretend to be Kuixing and go to your room!"

When Fang Yingwu first heard these words, the hairs all over his body stood up. Under the stimulation, his spiritual orifices suddenly opened, and he had the ability to communicate with the gods from time to time.

Story 2. Two lanterns.

Fang Yingwu studied in a community in a neighboring village when he was young, but he learned late. He often returned home after dark.

Mr. Wang, a sociologist, is very fond of Fang Yingwu (doubtful). Once he was worried that it would be unsafe for Yingwu to walk at night after dark, but he saw two people holding two lanterns walking with Fang Yingwu, so he felt relieved.

The next day, Mr. Wang asked Fang Yingwu: "Who walked with you last night?"

Fang Yingwu was very puzzled, "I went home by myself last night and was not with anyone else. Why did you ask this question?"

Mr. Wang was stunned for a long time, and said to his neighbors: "This child must be blessed by heaven, and there are ghosts and gods to protect him!" After that, he cried and shouted that he wanted to marry his daughter to Fang Yingwu (doubtful).

Story 3: The fish leaps over the dragon gate.

Fang Yingwu once studied under the Prime Minister of Shang. The road was difficult and he often crossed Qingxi River back and forth. Once, when Fang Yingwu was getting on the ferry, there was a sudden gust of wind and waves, and the river water wet his green shirt, making him miserable for a while.

.

It happened that there were several scholars on the bank who were usually jealous of Fang Yingwu, and they were waiting to cross the river. One of them was named Xu Huai (doubtful). Seeing this, he pointed fingers and laughed at Fang Yingwu.

Fang Yingwu was calm and composed, and sang four lines loudly to the stream: "I step on the bow of the boat to open the gangplank, God gives me a gift to wash away the dust. Everyone laughs at my wet clothes, and the fish jumps out of the dragon gate."

As soon as Fang Yingwu finished speaking, he suddenly saw a whirlpool rolling up in the stream, and a green dragon soared out of the waves and circled several times in the air.

Then Qinglong responded to the other party and said: "I am the carp spirit in the stream. I have been cultivating for more than 1,300 years, but I still can't break it. Now, through the enlightenment of the little banished immortal, I have achieved enlightenment in one day! Now the Jade Emperor has promised me the stream.

As a god, when you return to the Immortal Class, I will visit you again to pay my respects!"

Everyone was surprised when they saw this, and one of them, a scholar from the He family, told his family about the incident after returning. The He family cried and shouted that they wanted to marry a young lady from the family to Fang Yingwu (there was doubt).

Story four, one sentence becomes a prophecy.

A great master came to Lin Chun'an to examine all the boys in the school and county. Fang Yingwu had outstanding appearance, good manners, talents, and good character. The great master liked him very much. After looking at him for a long time, he directly named Fang Yingwu as a Linshan student.

And a pair of couplets as a gift.

The first couplet says: Lao Su's literature can be passed on to his sons; the second couplet says: Xiao Fangcai's name was not given to his father. At that time, Fang Yingwu's father had already passed the Qiu Wei of Senior High School and was ranked fourth in Lien Zhongchun Wei. He was a local celebrity, so he was famous

In response to the praise, the grandmaster gave Fang a gift with the words "The little Fang Cai will not give up his name to his father".

At that time, the Grand Master did not have a daughter of the right age, so he could not marry his daughter to Fang Yingwu in tears, which made him deeply regretful for the rest of his life.

But later on, although Fang Yingwu was famous for his talents, his poems were sung all over the world, and his official career was shining brightly, his academic performance was never as good as his father's.

A thoughtful person analyzed: This couplet praises Fang Yingwu for being too full, but when the moon is full and the moon is full, it is not enough. What's more, it is unethical to be arrogant about his father. It has damaged Fang Yingwu's merit, and as a result, the name of the department will always be ranked after his father's.

It can be said that it is a prophecy.

After Fang Yingwu heard this discussion, he angrily changed the second line to "Xiao Fangcai's name is not as good as his father" to mock himself. To be continued...)
