NO397 has always been rational

Mi Ruo was a little excited. After saying a lot of words, she could no longer breathe quickly. Her chest was rising and falling slightly. She remembered that Rong Ye had told her what happened between Li Yan and Joanna, but Li Yan didn't mention a word.

, as if he was on guard against her.

It was his attitude that made her feel vaguely uneasy. She always felt that there seemed to be some unusual story hidden between him and Joanna, and what happened that night was just a trigger.

Glancing around, she accidentally glanced at the diamond ring on his finger. She suddenly remembered the golden-green (harmony) opal ring he wore on his finger before they got married, and the one on Joanna's finger.

One is so similar, one can imagine that he once valued her, otherwise he would not have worn that ring for more than ten years...

Li Yan was silent for a while, and then said, "I admit that I did hide some things from you, but that's because I think it's better for you not to know some things. I don't want you to be in danger."

Mi Ruo raised her eyelids coldly and looked at him with an "I knew you would say that" look.

After a long while, she said, "No need to say anything, I want to go upstairs to rest." After saying that, she turned around and prepared to go upstairs, her cold expression remained the same.

"Mi Ruo!!" He suddenly grabbed her arm, "Can you be more sensible? I need to talk to you..."

"I have always been sensible!" She broke away from his control, "You know? Every minute and every second you touch me, I will think of everything that happened to you and Joanna... How can I endure it? How can I?

Bear?!"

She repeated two sentences to express the grief in her heart, "I would rather you confess everything to me, I would rather you can rely on me, I would rather be in danger than see you throw yourself into Joanna's arms!"

By the end of the story, she was crying because of the sobs in her throat.

Turning around, she walked towards the steps of the second floor. Li Yan immediately pulled her back, "Listen to me!"

His face was very solemn, "Don't be so willful..." In fact, Li Yan wanted to tell her everything, but he was not sure. If he really told her everything, how could she still tell him, who was so cruel as a monster?

Is this acceptable?

Mi Ruo suddenly resisted hysterically and shouted at him, "Li Yan, you should have known from the first day you met me that I am an unreasonable and stubborn woman!"

Her pale face and tight lips revealed traces of pain. Seeing this, Li Yan fell silent. Looking at her like this, he felt heartbroken again.

Unable to help himself, he stretched out his hand to touch her pale face, "Ruo'er..."

"Don't touch me!" She suddenly took two steps back.

Li Yan's handsome face twitched, and her rejection made his expression darken.

Mi Ruo's face was even paler than before. She said to him coldly, "Let me think about it carefully...give me some time."

There was a shadow of injury on his beautiful face.

"At least now, I can't let go..." she said to him, "I'm really not angry with you, it's just that I can't get over the hurdle in my heart."

He looked at her and listened to every word she said without expression.

She said word by word, "Li Yan, how deep the love is, how deep the pain is at this moment... I'm afraid that I won't be able to get over this hurdle in my life, so... you let me think about it."

For a moment, Li Yan didn't react at all. He looked at her calmly, too calmly.

She immediately turned around and ran to the second floor, but this time Li Yan did not stop her. He just stood downstairs, his calm expression slowly thawing, replaced by unprecedented frustration and helplessness.

At night, Mi Ruo sat by the bed with a calm expression on her face. She knew she shouldn't treat Li Yan like that... She knew he was heartbroken, but her heart was even worse than his.

Knock knock——

There was a sudden knock on the door, and she wiped the moisture from her eyes in panic, "Come in!"

Cindy's little body ran over, "Mommy——"

Mi Ruo hugged her and sat her on his big (Harmony) lap, and said with a smile, "Baby, don't you want to go to bed yet? You have to go to kindergarten tomorrow morning."

Cindy nestled her little head in Mi Ruo's arms, "Mommy...it's hard when you're sick, isn't it?"

"Um."

"Mommy, please don't get sick again, okay?"

Cindy's innocent words made Mi Ruo laugh, and she said, "My dear, whether you get sick or not is not something mommy can control."

"But, if Mommy gets sick, Cindy won't be able to see Mommy," Cindy said truthfully, raising her little face, looking into Mi Ruo's eyes, and said seriously, "And, when Mommy gets sick,

, Dad looks so uncomfortable... When Mommy is not at home, Dad sits on the terrace in a daze every day."

A mist of water gradually appeared in Mi Ruo's eyes. She bent down and kissed Cindy's white and tender little face, "Oh... Mommy is fine now, dad won't worry anymore."

"Really?" Cindy frowned, with doubt on her face, "But dad looks more sad than before, and he didn't eat much dinner."

Mi Ruo's heart suffocated slightly. She didn't want to continue discussing this topic with her daughter, so she said, "What about Cindy? Has Cindy had dinner?"

Cindy pressed her little hand on her flat belly and shook her head. Mi Ruo kissed her forehead lovingly, then hugged Cindy and went downstairs.

When she arrived at the restaurant, the servants had already prepared the dishes and served her diligently, as usual. Cindy sat on Mi Ruo's lap, her cute eyebrows furrowed, "Mommy, what are you doing?

Do you want to hold me while you eat? I can eat by myself now."

"Really?" Mi Ruo looked at Cindy in surprise, "But Mommy feels like she hasn't eaten with you for a long time, and she wants to feed you." As she said that, she scooped a spoonful of rice and fed it to you.

Cindy's mouth.

Cindy had rice in her mouth and spat out vaguely, "Mommy, how about I go call dad instead of going downstairs to have some more food?"

In order not to irritate Mi Ruo, Li Yan deliberately ate in advance and didn't eat much when he was in a bad mood. This was all seen by the small but sensible Cindy.

Seeing that Cindy was about to get up and go upstairs, Mi Ruo grabbed her little arm and hesitated, "It's better not to call daddy yet!"

Realizing that her words were a bit strange, she explained, "Daddy may be busy right now. Let's eat first. You can ask Daddy to come down for dinner later."

God knows, she was actually avoiding him on purpose.

She was afraid of dining with him at the same table, afraid of seeing him staring at her intently, and afraid that when she was stubborn, she would say crueler words to hurt him, so she wanted to shift her attention to Cindy.
