Chapter 33, Section 4

[69 Book Bar - www.] Zhao Chengzhong, the regiment leader, and He Zedao, the agency director, who were watching the strong men practicing their steps on the military parade platform, saw Yang Lin and Liu Haisheng coming to the training ground. Zhao Chengzhong stood first

He got up and called and said:

"Mr. Liu, you are a rare visitor today. Why bother you to come here?"

Liu Haisheng smiled and cupped his hand and replied:

"Actually, it's not a big deal. I just met Captain Yang on the street. He said you were training new recruits here. I came over to ask you if there is anything your group needs our Chamber of Commerce to help with recently. If so,

Just tell me if you want, so that we can get your affairs done as soon as possible."

He Zedao looked at Liu Haisheng in confusion and asked Captain Zhao:

"What do you know? Where does he work?"

Captain Zhao immediately explained to He Zedao:

"My acquaintance with Mr. Liu, he works at the Nanjing Chamber of Commerce. He is the assistant to President Lin of the Nanjing Chamber of Commerce. The rice our patrol group eats and many supplies they use are provided by them. They are working for the imperial army.

People are great good people."

After He Zedao heard what Captain Zhao said, he happily walked from the stage to Liu Haisheng, shook hands with Liu Haisheng and said:

"Your land is a good citizen. The Imperial Army likes to make friends with good people like you. The Imperial Army will also entrust you with many things to do in the future."

Liu Haisheng also catered to him and said:

"Our Chamber of Commerce is very willing to do things for the Imperial Army. Many things of their patrol group are helped by our Chamber of Commerce."

After Liu Haisheng socialized with He Zedao for a few words, he came to Captain Zhao and said with a smile:

"You, Captain Zhao, are really good. You have recruited so many new recruits in just a few days. I think most of your new recruits are old farmers. How long will it take to train these new recruits?"

Captain Zhao looked very confident:

"Don't look down on these mud-legged people, they will all be good soldiers in 10 days."

Liu Haisheng was pleasantly surprised:

"That's right! Then I want to congratulate you. You, the regiment leader, should no longer be called the regiment leader. You should be called the brigade commander."

Captain Zhao seemed to have remembered something and asked Liu Haisheng:

"Did you come to see me today for something? If you have something, just tell me. If you have nothing, I won't have time to accompany you."

Liu Haisheng quickly waved his hand and said:

"I have nothing to do. I just met Captain Yang on the street. He said that you were training new recruits, so I wanted to come and see you. By the way, I also wanted to ask you if your regiment has anything to do with the Chamber of Commerce. If so,

If you do, please tell me so that the Chamber of Commerce can make arrangements for you in advance."

Captain Zhao thought for a moment:

"There is nothing for you to do at the moment. If anything, I will let Adjutant Niu tell you. I am busy today and I will not have time to accompany you today. I will treat you to a drink when I am free!"

Liu Haisheng laughed along and said:

"Then get busy and I'll leave. As for drinking, I'll let the president treat you when you're free."

After Liu Haisheng finished speaking, he left the training ground.

Not long after Liu Haisheng returned home, Liu’s mother shouted outside the door:

"Master Liu, it's time for dinner. The master and his wife are waiting for you in the dining hall."

When Liu Haisheng heard Mama Liu calling him to eat, he immediately responded:

"Here we come." He got up and went out, following Liu's mother to the dining hall.

As soon as Liu Haisheng entered the dining hall, President Lin and his wife had already sat down at the dining table. The food was already placed on the table, and President Lin, his wife and his rice had already been scooped out and placed on the table.

Liu Haisheng smiled and said:

"From now on, you can eat when the food is served. I am really embarrassed to ask the two elders to wait for me, a junior. You all hurry up and eat...eat." He said and picked up the rice bowl and started eating.

Liu Haisheng had just taken two bites when he saw that President Lin and his wife had not brought the bowls yet. He looked at President Lin and his wife with rice in his mouth:

"Cousin and aunt, why don't you eat? Has something happened at home again? If anything happens, you two elders will tell me. If there is anything you want me to do, just tell me. You must not treat me like an outsider.
