On the third day of September in the thirteenth year of Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong, together with hundreds of civil and military officials, went outside the Chang'an Pass to see Xuanzang and Li Chong off.
Now Li Chong was wearing simple civilian clothes and accompanying Xuanzang. Originally, Taizong was planning to send one person to follow him when he traveled to the west, but Li Chong didn't want to hurt innocent people, so he asked Taizong to send only one person.
Facing Taizong and all the officials, Xuanzang did not dare to be overly polite in the slightest, and showed a hint of respect in his calm expression.
"My dear brother, the journey is difficult, so be careful. I wonder how long it will take for my dear brother to come back?"
Taizong said with a caring expression.
After hearing Taizong's words, Xuanzang said solemnly with firm eyes.
"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty. If this poor monk does not see my Buddha, he will not return. This trip will last for at least three to five years, and may last for more than ten years. Please don't worry, Your Majesty."
"My dear brother, I will definitely wait for my dear brother to return."
Taizong said solemnly, and he couldn't help but look at Li Chong as he spoke. His expression spoke clearly, hoping that Li Chong would come back safely.
"I will definitely live up to your majesty's trust, and I will definitely get the true scriptures and pray for the Tang Dynasty to ensure that the country of the Tang Dynasty will last forever."
Xuanzang finally promised with a solemn expression.
"Your Majesty, I will definitely live up to the Tang Dynasty and live up to your Majesty's high expectations."
Looking at Taizong, Li Chong looked extremely solemn, leaned forward and said respectfully.
"Okay, have a safe trip."
Taizong finally said goodbye with a bit of reluctance. During this trip, his most important son was going to face the immortals and Buddhas in the sky and experience a battle of life and death. How could he be willing to let go and not worry?
In the reluctance and farewell, Li Chong and Xuanzang soon resigned and left, looking at the journey to the west in the distance and moving forward with all their strength.
Along the way, Li Chong looked calm, looking at Xuanzang who was sitting on the horse, a strange look flashed in his expression. Along the way, Master Xuanzang remained silent and moved forward wholeheartedly. He did not show any concern for his own prince.
He was surprised and looked at with admiration. It was another example of the demeanor of a great virtuous monk.
"Donor Li, why did you give up everything, sleep in the open air, and accompany the poor monk to the West to obtain scriptures at any time of the day? You must know that there are countless monsters, monsters, jackals, tigers, and leopards on this journey, and the journey is difficult. The poor monk is very curious about this."
As they were walking, Xuanzang, who was on horseback, suddenly spoke with calm eyes.
Looking at Xuanzang with a solemn expression, Li Chong said slowly.
"I don't know why Master went to the West to obtain scriptures. Is it really for those scriptures? Is it for Buddhist scriptures and sermons?"
"Amitabha. The poor monk doesn't know what the scripture is about. He only knows that there is the Buddha that the poor monk is looking for on the Western Heaven Avenue. The real Buddha. The poor monk only comes here to find the Buddha in his heart."
Xuanzang whispered the Buddha's name, and Baoxiang said solemnly.
Hearing Xuanzang's words, Li Chong couldn't help but look at this great Buddhist master. Didn't this reincarnation of Jin Chanzi come here just for the purpose of traveling to the west?
Is there any hidden secret? According to legend, this second disciple of the Buddha fell asleep during the Buddha's sermon. He was unwilling to listen to the scriptures and behaved eccentrically. He was punished by the Buddha and sent to the world. He wanted to obtain the true scriptures and understand the importance of the scriptures. I originally thought it was just...
The gimmicks used by Buddhism now seem to be somewhat credible. This high-level talk is much stronger than the power of those false compassions.
Looking at Xuanzang, Li Chong said.
"Master is worthy of being a virtuous and eminent monk. I am here just to fulfill my ideal in my heart."
"Oh, is the donor also looking for the Tao in his heart? I wonder if we can all complete the Tao in our hearts."
After hearing Li Chong's words, Xuanzang looked thoughtfully into the distance and said.
"No matter what, I will definitely complete my pursuit."
Li Chong looked into the distance with a bright look in his eyes and said firmly.
Then the two of them were speechless and kept moving forward. Soon they saw a huge temple and called it Famen. When they saw Famen Temple, Li Chong knew that Xuanzang would make a vow to meet Buddha and pay homage here.
Upon hearing Xuanzang's arrival, the monks in the temple lined up to welcome him. Now that Xuanzang was not only a great eminent monk, but also his Majesty's imperial disciple, and even more so a prince, how could the temple dare to neglect him?
After welcoming them into the temple, the two of them were well entertained. Xuanzang also talked about Buddhism with many monks. Soon night fell. In the main hall, in front of the huge Buddha statue, the ancient Buddha with green lanterns was quiet and quiet. Xuanzang was wearing a cassock.
, with a solemn expression, facing the huge golden Buddha statue, sitting cross-legged and chanting sutras continuously.
In the distance, Li Chong sat cross-legged beside the hall with a calm expression. He needed to guard Xuanzang at all times, which was also what he had to do as an attendant.
When Li Chong was planning his future itinerary, Xuanzang, who was sitting cross-legged in front of the Buddha statue, suddenly stood up and spoke loudly and solemnly.
"My disciple Chen Xuanzang went to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures, but his naked eyes were blind and could not recognize the true form of the living Buddha. I now vow to burn incense in temples on the way, worship Buddhas when I encounter them, and sweep pagodas when I encounter them. I hope that my Buddha will be compassionate and appear as a six-foot-long golden body soon.
, give me the true scriptures and leave them to the Eastern Lands to perfect the true Buddha in my heart."
This voice was low but extremely majestic. It gradually became louder and louder, constantly resounding through the hall. The voice was grand, with a hint of Sanskrit sound. Li Chong knew that this was Xuanzang's small ambition. If he could achieve it,
There must be something accomplished.
In this grand sound, the huge ancient Buddha gradually exuded a mysterious aura, and faint but extremely sacred Buddha lights slowly appeared, and circles of Buddha lights appeared behind the head of the ancient Buddha.
Sensing this situation, Li Chong looked shocked and stood up suddenly, his eyes shining brightly as he looked at the Buddha statue in the main hall.
At this time, Li Chong felt that the Buddha's light was faintly dividing the entire hall from the entire space and time, becoming an independent space.
This scene made Li Chong look even more surprised, and if it weren't for the Buddhist avatar Hui Neng he had developed in his palm, he would not have been able to clearly sense these series of changes. This made Li Chong look even more horrified.
It seems that these changes can only be sensed by Buddhists who are profound in Buddhism. Xuanzang must have sensed them now.
Facing this change, Li Chong did not dare to slack off at all. Knowing that this must be an opportunity, he released the clone Huineng from his palm. Although he had condensed the clone, he did not have any suitable Buddhist techniques. This clone only had a golden body.
Arhat's strength, so facing this opportunity, Li Chong was extremely looking forward to it.
As for Xuanzang, who is now mortal, Li Chong can naturally hide his changes easily.
From Huineng's eyes, Li Chong felt more and more the terrifying and sacred changes in this hall. The entire hall was immersed in huge golden light, and the Buddha statues in the hall became more sacred and solemn, and the Buddha statues became more sacred.
The huge golden light made it impossible for Li Chong to look directly. With a thought in his heart, he mobilized the Zhentian relic between his eyebrows. With the blessing of the Zhentian relic, Li Chong looked at the statue, and his heart was shaking.
Because under the shocking relics, the golden Buddha statue faintly transformed into the image of an eminent monk from the Western Regions with bulging eyes, a full face, curly beard, a tall figure, a dignified appearance, and extraordinary appearance.
Seeing this image, Li Chong's expression became a little incomprehensible, how could this original golden Buddha statue become so strange.
At this time, in Xuanzang's eyes, the Buddha statue became taller, and its whole body was wrapped in a ball of golden light, as if the Buddha was personally present. However, he was still in a mortal body and could not see the original image.
Just when both of them were a little frightened, suddenly the golden light around the body of the huge Buddha statue revealed many scriptures like a curtain of light. These scriptures circulated, giving people an extremely sacred feeling.
Seeing these scriptures, Li Chong's expression condensed, and he turned his eyes to look around. He found that no matter how he looked, they were just a ball of golden dots beating. With no choice, he had to mobilize his clone Huineng. At this time, he suddenly saw countless scriptures in his eyes.
.
"The Sutra of Great Compassion."
Looking at these scriptures, Li Chong kept remembering them in his heart. Through Huineng, Li Chong knew that this scripture was the Great Compassion Sutra, which is a scripture for cultivating a compassionate heart and influencing the world with a compassionate heart. This scripture cultivates deep compassion.
With a single movement of your heart, you can influence all kinds of people in the world, but to practice this sutra, you must have complete compassion, without a trace of evil thoughts, and always have a compassionate heart.
Seeing this, Li Chong immediately felt helpless. Who in the world can have no evil thoughts, and who can always have a compassionate heart. It is easy to do a good deed, but it is difficult to reach heaven by doing good deeds for a lifetime.
Therefore, this sutra cannot be practiced by oneself at all. Huineng, as his clone, is essentially himself, and cannot be practiced at all.
Therefore, this profound cultivation scripture was completely useless to Li Chong. As a last resort, Li Chong had no choice but to feel that he had no chance.
"Amitabha."
Just when Li Chong felt that he had missed the chance, Xuanzang, who was standing under the Buddha statue, suddenly chanted the Buddha's name loudly. Suddenly, the scriptures on the time curtain poured into Xuanzang like a tide. Soon, Xuanzang was generous and bright, and countless
The scriptures, talismans and seals support it like a sacred immortal Buddha.
Looking at Xuanzang who was shrouded in scriptures, Li Chong's eyes narrowed. This Xuanzang turned out to be a man with a great compassionate heart. No wonder he gave people the feeling of a good old man, even an overly kind person, during his journey to the west.
This is probably also the reason for practicing the Great Compassion Sutra.
However, Xuanzang's strength must have been unfathomable from now on.
Under the Buddha statue, Xuanzang's expression was extremely solemn and sacred, and he was constantly comprehending the Great Compassion Sutra. Suddenly, a light curtain appeared in front of the huge Buddha statue, and layers of sutras appeared again. At this time, Li Chong became energetic and mobilized his wisdom again.
All the strength is focused on.
Scriptures flashed in Li Chong's eyes one after another and were quickly digested into his mind.
"Nirvana, silence, the fire of troubles is extinguished, and all suffering is eternal; it has the state of immortality, everything has Buddha nature, if the Buddha lives in the heart, then all living beings are Buddhas, if the Buddha lives in the heart, then they are Buddhas, in the heart
If you give birth to a demon, you become a demon. One thought is a Buddha, one thought is a demon, one thought is a flower blooming, and all living beings are annihilated and impermanent."
After constantly digesting the scriptures, Li Chong was very happy. In the interpretation of these scriptures, the light of Buddha Huineng in his avatar became more and more powerful, and various Sanskrit sounds were louder and louder.
"The Great Nirvana Sutra."
Feeling everything, Li Chong couldn't help but look at the strange Buddha statue, and understood the true meaning of this scripture. This is Buddhism that focuses on cultivating the mind. Everything is a thought, and in profound places, it can be transformed with a single movement of the mind.
All living beings, whether Buddha or demon, can be cultivated to a certain point, and can even turn the imaginary into reality and achieve the supreme pure land.
And this section of Buddhism is just right for you. If you cultivate it with Huineng, you will definitely achieve limitless achievements in the future. You can even become the Supreme Buddha.
After interpreting this Buddhist scripture, a glimmer of enlightenment arose in his heart, and the Buddhist scriptures on the light screen once again turned into a tide and poured into Huineng's body, immediately improving his cultivation.
Huineng was condensed by Li Chong using relics. After obtaining this mysterious Buddhist power, he became more and more real, and his strength increased. It seemed that he could break through the Arhat realm at any time and become a master of the Daluo Jinxian. He was like a Buddha, and there were countless
The influx of sutras into his body also strengthened his Buddha nature. If he had the opportunity in the future, he would be able to achieve the Bodhisattva position.
After getting this passage, Li Chong withdrew Huineng. As soon as he entered the small world in his palm, Huineng sat high in the sky, shining brightly and illuminating the sky in all directions. It was like the Buddha coming to the world.
The Buddha Kingdom in the palm of your hand has also undergone earth-shaking changes. Countless smallpox have been scattered, the golden light has surged, and the demons that were originally saved have become even more shining. Like Buddhist disciples, they chant sutras more devoutly and loudly, and are completely saved.
As a disciple of the Buddha, his strength is also rising steadily. This part of the small world has become more like the real pure land of the Buddha during this change.
These series of changes made Li Chong ecstatic. Looking at Xuanzang who was still comprehending, Li Chong also calmed down and realized the series of changes in his body again. He constantly sorted out the changes in his body and enhanced his strength.
After leaving Famen Temple, he was about to reach Wuzhishan and start his plan of stealing a dragon and exchanging a phoenix. This Wuzhishan was also a turning point in the future. Li Chong was secretly looking forward to it.
