Chapter 301 The filth in the compound

This also explains why the bride is placed in the utility room in the eldest master's yard after her wedding.

Unknowingly, the time came again at night, and I spent another day among these innocent ghosts without any danger. After the ghosts rested tonight, Lang Hongyi and I were going to make big moves.

After testing it day and night, we sorted out the rules.

In this space, Lang Hongyi and I are regarded as Sanxi and Jian Fengyi in front of these wronged souls, and will not be suspected.

The first thing to note is that after we wake up, we cannot see some things that do not exist in this house, such as the food we are carrying, the clothes washed and dried, and the damaged items. When these appear, we rely on them.

The acting is muddled.

Many times we have to fearlessly perform stage plays with these ghosts without real objects.

Another point is that we can't walk to the door of the house and can't get out at all. Lang Hongyi and I have tried this, but the result is that we will appear at the other end of the corridor again.

That's where we stood when we got into this mess.

After I was sure that the other servants in the same room as me, the little maid, were already asleep, I cautiously left the servant room and headed towards the eldest master's residence as agreed.

Lang Hongyi and I decided to start exploring here.

The shadow of the moon is like a hook, and today's moon looks like a line. It is estimated to be around the first day of the lunar calendar.

Without the moonlight, the surroundings were several degrees darker than usual.

As soon as I arrived, I was pulled into a corner by a big hand.

I knew in my heart that it was Lang Hongyi who did it, but I was also shocked by the suddenness!

Hidden in the darkness, I managed to speak and complained softly, "Can you stop doing this all the time? It's so scary!"

"This is the most effective method. It benefits others and ourselves." Lang Hongyi loosened his hand around me and pointed towards the door of the courtyard, "This courtyard has already been occupied before us."

Who can enter the yard of the eldest young master’s new house first?

There is probably no one else besides the eldest lady or the servants who are serving her.

Lang Hongyi lowered his voice and said, "It's Mr. Jian."

"Then...that old man? It's not appropriate for him to come at this time when he's a father-in-law, right?"

"It's been a while. Let's go in and take a look. The eldest lady is not here, but the eldest young master is inside. Please be careful."

It sounds like there are no servants in this courtyard except those three. This situation makes me a little bit extravagant.

After confirming that there was no one around, we quickly jumped into the yard. As we walked, we could clearly see that there was no one in the utility room, and it seemed that the bride was also in the house.

Taking advantage of the darkness, we stood in the corridor outside the house, close to the window, using a decorative potted plant to block our bodies, and quietly looked into the house.

Before we could get closer, there was already an intriguing sound coming from inside the house...

"Hehe... Dad, you are here to play with us again, and you are playing games again..."

"Han'er, be obedient. I'll play a game with her first. If you cover your face with a hijab and hide in the clean room like yesterday, dad will find you soon!"

The sudden amount of information was a bit overwhelming. I glanced at Lang Hongyi and prepared to reach out and push open the window. Seeing is believing.

But Lang Hongyi quickly grabbed my wrist and took me around the corner. The sudden change made me stagger.

Fortunately, I'm not too stupid. I knew there might be something wrong, so I kept my mouth shut and made no sound, and tried to minimize the noise from my movements.

Just as we stood still, two more figures appeared in our position. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that they were two young masters who didn't take the ban seriously at all.

Seeing that the other person's attention was focused on the room and didn't notice our presence at all, I became bolder and asked in a low voice, "Do you think the room is as we thought it was?"

Now we don't need to get close, right from this position, we can clearly hear the scream of a young woman struggling in the room.

There was a cup of tea before and after, and the three people in the room and the four people in the yard spent it slowly with their own thoughts.

The mantis stalks the cicada and the oriole is behind, but we are not the last wave of oriole. Just as the sound in the room quieted down, Master Jian was about to come out. Lang Hongyi and I, plus the other two young masters of the Jian family, were all in a hurry.

When looking for a place to hide again...

Two people walked in again outside the yard. What was unexpected was that they bumped head-to-head with Mr. Jian who was walking out of the house to tidy up his clothes.

The eldest lady actually did not get angry out of embarrassment, but gave her husband a dark look, and waved to the little maid behind to bring him a cup of stew.

My jaw dropped a bit in shock. I came here to give my father-in-law a tonic. Do both the couple know about this?

They are all participants in this scandal, even the planners!

The eldest lady stumbled into the house. She could hear that she was giving a lecture to her new daughter-in-law. After giving a few warnings, she took her silly son out of the clean room, put her on the kang to sleep, and then left.

My little heart's ability to accept it is really limited.

In a daze, I asked Lang Hongyi to take him out of the yard. I originally wanted to go back and take a nap early to calm down.

But Lang Hongyi said reluctantly, "I'll meet you at the gate of the courtyard after breakfast tomorrow. Something should happen."

Well, whatever he said is what he said. Now I really have no clue. The relationship between this family is chaotic, but no one was killed.

We don’t know what other big families are like, and we don’t know the truth behind it, let alone whether this is normal.

The next morning, I served the whole family with food and drink as usual, and walked on the path with the sun shining down on me, making it cool and cold.

I simply lay down and leaned under an osmanthus tree in front of the courtyard. Even if someone found me, being lazy would be a universal excuse.

On the other hand, Lang Hongyi, relying on his good skills, climbed directly onto the wall and onto the roof, using the high and low structure of the roof to hide his figure.

From my position, I have a complete view.

After that, the first wave of people to come were the eldest lady and the little maid who delivered supplements yesterday. When they entered the courtyard, they dragged the mysterious bride into the courtyard.

Ask the person to kneel on the ground with a basin in hand, take out the prepared rattan and hit the back with a heavy blow!

It seems that this old woman doesn't mind, and now she's just seeking bad luck.

The sound of slapping and suppressed cries of pain echoed around.

The eldest lady was beating and scolding her at the same time, and the scolding words were simply unpleasant to the ears. It was not like the words that a well-educated aunt from a wealthy family would say.

Finally, the eldest lady was tired from the beating and had learned enough lessons, so she took the little maid and left the courtyard.

The bride was wearing a light-colored dress, and blood stains could be clearly seen on her back. Due to the pain, her hair was wet with sweat, and she was lying on the ground in the yard without any strength.

There was no one in the yard, and she just kept lying like this, like a dead body, which made me want to get out of the hiding place and go up to check it out.

I was already moving. When I heard Lang Hongyi's cough on the roof, as a reminder, I realized in my mind that the ill-fated bride in front of me was no longer alive. All we saw were

Once upon a time...
