Chapter 026: A Good Boy

She returned to Huangshan in the afternoon and showed up at the nursing home where she had been raised for nearly nine years. It housed some elderly people and orphans. It used to be funded by the government, but now it is getting more and more difficult.

The children were in class. When she went in, Dean Jin was meeting guests. The girl who ushered her in was named He. She was a college student and she didn't know her. She had been away from here for so many years, and most of the staff didn't know her.

"The dean said, you are here, please wait here. The dean is meeting with very important guests." Xiao He made her a cup of tea and said.

"Okay, thank you, Xiao He." Mu Wan wanted to see the students in class.

Most of the teachers here are college students who also teach on a voluntary basis. They are young, energetic and full of love. She walked to the door of the classroom and saw a dozen students sitting and listening to the class in a neat manner.

The teacher in front of them was giving them an English lesson. His voice was loud, but his spoken language was not that standard.

With her heart feeling slightly sour and her chest feeling tight, she hurriedly turned around and walked towards Dean Jin's office. When she turned around, she saw an old man of nearly seventy years old approaching with a cane, and she almost bumped into him.

This old man was very well-dressed, wearing an iron-gray gown, and the crutch in his hand was made of dark purple nanmu, from which a faint fragrance could be smelled.

"Sorry, old sir." Mu Wan looked at the old man's bright eyes, which made people inexplicably awe-inspiring, and she stood up straight.

"It's okay." The old man looked her up and down, and saw that she was wearing a gray suit and black-rimmed glasses, and she looked decent. "You work here?"

"No." She shook her head, "I grew up here."

"Mr. Wen." Dean Jin followed and saw Mu Wan, "This is Mu Wan who grew up here. After she was nine years old, she went to England with her aunt to study."

"Really? He's a pretty good kid." Mr. Wen nodded, his eyes shining with a strange light.

"Yes, even though Wanwan left the nursing home, she still calls back every month and brings gifts to the children." Dean Jin said next to her.

The old man looked at her carefully, said nothing more, turned to Dean Jin and said, "Dean Jin, I'm leaving first."

"Mr. Wen, go slowly." Dean Jin hurriedly saw him off.

After sending the old man off, Dean Jin came back and saw that Mu Wan was already waiting for her. She looked at Mu Wan, took her hand and walked to the office: "Wan Wan, you have grown up and become more beautiful."

"Dean Jin, please stop laughing at me." Mu Wan couldn't stand such praise. She was concerned about the current situation of the kindergarten. "Dean, do you want to buy the business card of the boss of our nursing home? Give me the business card.

I'll talk to those people."

"No need." Dean Jin showed a relaxed expression on his face, "The problem has been solved."

"What's solved?" Mu Wan was a little confused.

"That Mr. Wen just now used to be a well-known figure in the capital. Last month, the TV station filmed a special feature on our place. He saw it, came over today to see the situation, and decided to sponsor us." Dean Jin replied.

"That's great." Mu Wan finally breathed a sigh of relief. In the past few months, the matters in the nursing home had made her breathless, and now she could finally relax.

"There are still many good people in this world, Wanwan! When you have time, you can visit Mr. Wen and be grateful to him." Dean Jin said.

"I will." That's what it should be, Mu Wan nodded.

"When you come back this time, don't leave!"

Mu Wan shook her head: "I'm not leaving."

"Did you go to see your mother?" Dean Jin pushed up his glasses and asked meaningfully.

When she mentioned her mother, Mu Wan's expression immediately became unnatural: "I've seen her before."

"Your mother has been here several times. In fact, it is not easy for her. What is past is past. Nothing can stop the love between mother and daughter. Are you right?" Dean Jin advised.

"I know, Dean." Mu Wan smiled reluctantly, fearing that she might not want her appearance that much and ruin the life of a wealthy family.
