The sound came from high in the sky, a golden light fell, the ground shook, and gravel splashed!
Tang Monk was startled and fell off his horse. As he struggled to get up, what he saw was a huge monkey head. It was wearing chain mail, with golden hair shining all over its body, and the thunderous mouth was baring its teeth.
Grinning at him.
"Monster! Monster!"
The horrified Tang Monk sat down on the ground again with a pop, moved his body, and kept crawling back.
Wukong had a dark look on his face, sighed, and said disdainfully:
"This kind of thing still goes to the west to learn from it?"
Is there no one left in Buddhism?
Apart from his fair skin and good appearance, there is nothing extraordinary about this monk at all.
"Amitabha, are you the donor?
Looking at the monkey in front of him, who looked like a human but not a human, a monster but not a monster, with a chain of golden armor and dazzling hair, Tang Monk stood up quickly, said the Buddha's name, and then explained.
"The poor monk Chen Xuanzang came from the Tang Dynasty in the east. He was entrusted by the emperor of the Tang Dynasty to go to the west to worship Buddha and learn scriptures."
He remembered Master Shixian... no, Guanyin Bodhisattva had told him that he would be assigned several guardians, among whom there was a demon fairy who was a monkey.
Wukong took out his ears and said without even looking at him:
"Bah, you stupid monk, stop talking nonsense. Xitian Lingshan is located in the extreme west of Xiniu Hezhou. It is more than hundreds of millions of miles away from the territory of the Tang Dynasty. It is simply out of reach. Even ordinary immortals may not be able to reach it until their death.
We rushed to Lingshan smoothly. How could you, a mortal monk with less than a hundred years to live, go to the Western Heaven and obtain the true scripture?"
Avalokitesvara has said that pilgrims must travel across mountains and rivers and go through ninety-nine and eighty-one difficulties before they can reach Lingshan Mountain.
Wukong thought that the Buddhist scripture seeker was at least a golden Arhat comparable to an immortal. He never thought that he was actually a mortal monk with no magical power. Isn't this fantastic?
Mortals are too fragile. No matter how far the journey is, if they encounter a demon, they may be killed if they bump or touch them casually.
When ordinary people go to the West to learn scriptures, there are too many uncertain factors.
He now seriously doubts whether Buddhism is deliberately doing this kind of thing because it wants to deceive people.
Tang Seng heard the other party's suspicion and contempt, and had no choice but to take out the customs clearance document to prove his identity.
In fact, he was a little doubtful about whether he could reach Lingshan Mountain.
"Tch, let's go then."
Wukong checked the customs clearance document. It had the seal stamped by Li Shimin with "He's Bi". He observed it with his celestial eye and found that there was a hint of golden dragon energy lingering around it. It couldn't be fake.
Then, he checked Tang Monk's salute and found a brocade cassock and a nine-ring tin staff in the baggage on the horse.
The two Buddhist treasures are surrounded by wisps of golden light of merit, pearls and treasures, and are colorful. They are inscribed with Sanskrit and intertwined with Tao marks, which cannot be forged.
"If you are willing to come here with a firm heart, wear my cassock to avoid falling into reincarnation, and hold my tin staff to avoid being poisoned. Hehe, you are somewhat prepared."
After Wukong finished the inspection, he threw the salute to Tang Monk and walked ahead with a swagger.
"Let's go, pretty boy, I'll take you to the west."
Tang Monk: "..."
Why does this sound a bit ambiguous...
The two set out on their journey to the West. However, because they lacked Tang Monk's experience of rescuing the stone monkey from the foot of Wuzhi Mountain and helping him out of trouble, their relationship was very cold, and they had no master-disciple status.
Tang Seng intends to build a good relationship.
But Wukong had no good impression of Buddhists at all and was too lazy to talk to him.
The bamboos were beating, the moon was falling, the chickens were singing, and the morning clouds were rising. The two of them slept in the open air, rarely communicating, and hurried along until they reached a ridge. They were surrounded by dangerous cliffs, cliffs and broken streams, desolate and confusing paths, towering ancient trees, and tangled grass and thorns.
In poor mountains and rivers, there are either unruly people or demons.
"Hahahaha, rations are coming to your door!"
"Rush, rush!"
The wind was rolling, and the black evil spirit was filling the air. Fifty or sixty demons rushed out of the cave, surrounding Sanzang and Wukong.
The little demons all had green faces, fangs, and bloodthirsty eyes, which frightened Tang Sanzang so much that he almost fell off his horse.
"Monsters! Sun Dasheng, there are monsters!"
"I'm not blind, pretty boy, what's the ghost's name?"
Wukong held the horse with a suspicious look on his face, took a few steps forward, and stood in front of Tang Monk.
The little demons also carried a sedan, on which sat a demon king. He looked very ferocious, with serrated teeth and chisel teeth, steel whiskers and bare flesh, hooks and claws as sharp as frost, eyes like lightning, fierce light flashing, and extremely powerful.
.
The Mountain King of Shuangcha Ridge, General Yin!
"Hee hee, look, there is a monkey spirit who leads horses for mortals. It's really embarrassing."
"We stewed it together. This monk is white and fat, with thin skin and tender meat. It should be delicious."
The little demons mocked the duo without restraint.
General Yin also saw Sun Wukong who was protecting the monk. He was wearing golden armor and looked very powerful. He seemed not to be trifled with, and said:
"Monkey, which kind of demon king are you?"
"Monkey King, Monkey King!"
"Sun Wukong, I seem to have heard of it somewhere." General Yin frowned slightly, as if he was thinking about something. Suddenly his face changed drastically, he jumped off the sedan, picked up a ball of green demonic wind, and ran towards the depths of the mountain forest.
The little demons were stunned for a moment.
Wukong sneered, took out the golden cudgel from his ear, and said:
"It's late."
Bang!
The golden cudgel instantly became as thick as a millstone, rolled with dazzling golden light, fell from the sky, and struck General Yin on the head. His skull instantly cracked and blood splattered!
Then, the golden cudgel swept across, fairy light surged, dozens of little demons screamed, blood spurted from their bodies, and flew out like scarecrows in a hurricane!
The iron rods shook the sky, the atmosphere roared, and the void wailed, sweeping away the haze.
Seeing such power, Tang Monk was dumbfounded.
"Oh, a bunch of fish."
Wukong put away the golden cudgel with a look of disdain.
The strongest General Yin is only an earthly immortal, let alone those little demons who are just trying to make up for their mistakes. Without fighting and warming up, it is nothing.
All the monsters were killed, and the corpses were covered with blood on the ground. General Yin also revealed his true form, which was a tiger monster. His head was blown open, and his brains and blood were scattered all over the ground.
Tang Seng felt that Sun Dasheng's method was a bit rough, but because he was killing demons, he didn't say much, so he just recited the Buddha's name.
This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! The two of them continued on their way.
There are a lot of demons on Shuangcha Ridge. Before we go too far, another demon king blocks our way.
"Children, it's time for extra food!"
Blue-black demonic energy struck from one side, the wind was strong, and the mountains and forests trembled.
A group of demons surrounded him.
This time there are two demon kings, one is a black man named Xiong Shanjun, who is tall and strong, with big arms and a thick waist, and the other is a fat man with a tall double-horned crown, a green face and fangs, and a ferocious face.
Xiong Shanjun and the Special Agent.
Wukong opened his eyes and saw the golden light of martial arts. He immediately recognized that the virgin was a bison spirit and the tiger spirit was a bear spirit. They both had the cultivation of a calamity earth immortal. They were stronger than General Yin, but their strength was limited.
"Really, everyone is tired of living and lining up to die."
"Hahahaha, Mr. Xiong, what did I see? A hozen that looks like a human or a dog?"
"Eating monkey brains tonight."
The two demon kings were more conceited than General Yin and did not take Stone Monkey seriously at all.
How strong can a hozen spirit be when it leads a mortal monk's horse?
Wukong:(?_?)
To be honest, he had begun to get tired of this kind of job as a nanny. The cats and dogs on the road had no eyesight at all.
boom!!
The golden cudgel was smashed down, and the billowing immortal power surged and spread, beating Xiong Shanjun and the special agent into pieces, and blood bloomed all over the sky!
The little demons were so frightened that they couldn't escape in time. The thousand-foot-long fairy iron rod rolled across the ground and crushed them all to death. A piece of blood and mud dyed the ground red.
When Tang Monk saw this, his eyelids jumped and he couldn't bear to look any further. He clasped his hands together and kept chanting Amitabha.
He had a deeper understanding of Sun Dasheng's abilities. Ordinary demons were no match at all. They came to seek death.
The two of them continued on their way.
Jackals, tigers, leopards, poisonous snakes, ants, insects, mountain spirits and ghosts, if they dare to come up, Wukong will kill them all.
This also made Tang Seng feel a little more confident, and he praised:
"The power of the great sage."
With the protection of the Great Sage, wouldn’t it be easy to go to the Western Heaven?
The two of them got along just fine, until they met a group of hair-cutting thieves. After a few words of persuasion, Wukong was too lazy to talk nonsense and beat them all to death.
Bandits are humans, not monsters.
Tang Sanzang looked at the bloody human corpses on the ground, his mother's heart broke out, and he couldn't help but accuse:
"Great Sage, how can you kill people at will? Although they are thugs who cut corners, it shouldn't be a death sentence even if they get it from the government. Even if you have magical powers and can just scare them away, how can you beat them all to death? Like this
Tyranny, how to be a monk?
As a monk, sweeping the floor may hurt the lives of ants, but cherish moths and cover lamps with gauze.
Beating them all to death indiscriminately is too cruel and shows no mercy at all. It's fine in the mountains and fields, no one can see you. But if you go to the city and you commit murder and indiscriminately hurt innocent people, how should I handle myself?"
Wukong said nonchalantly: "If they want to hack me to death, I'll beat them to death. It's fair."
Those who kill will always be killed.
Tang Sanzang refuted: "We are monks, and it is our duty to be compassionate. How can we achieve positive results by killing innocent people indiscriminately?"
"You are a monk, but I am not."
"You haven't converted to Buddhism?"
"I, Old Sun, only promised the Bodhisattva to escort you to the West. Who said I am a monk?"
"..."
Tang Monk was speechless for a moment.
He thought Sun Dasheng had already converted to Buddhism, otherwise how could he be a Buddhist Buddhist protector?
However, he was more stubborn and emphasized: "Then you should not kill innocent people indiscriminately. If you go to the West to obtain the true scriptures, you should focus on the Buddha. Moreover, poor monks are the ones who obtain the scriptures."
"ha?"
Wukong raised his eyebrows and glared at the monk on the horse, "Are you teaching me how to do things?"
"I don't dare. I just hope that the great sage will be merciful and less likely to commit murder."
"Pooh!"
Wukong looked disdainful and stepped on the bandit's head, "My master, Sun, taught me that you should be more ruthless to evil people than they are. How can you repay evil with kindness?"
"You are using strong words to make sense."
"You are the one who is arrogant. If it weren't for my protection, you would have been chopped into pieces by these bandits. How can you still be here and teach me how to be compassionate?"
"..."
Tang Sanzang was speechless again.
But he quickly adjusted and began to talk about Buddhism and quoted various scriptures. Wukong was so confused that he couldn't help but get angry and left.
"Idiot, you can play by yourself, I won't accompany you anymore."
Wukong jumped on the cloud head, stepped on the somersault cloud, turned into a golden light, broke through the clouds, and disappeared into the horizon.
Tang Sanzang was dumbfounded.
Damn it, you really left.
He waited for a long time, but did not see the great sage come back, so he had to pack his luggage alone, put it on the horse, and without riding a horse, he held the tin staff in one hand and the reins in the other, and headed west alone.
He was always trembling with fear as he passed through the mountains and forests along the way, fearing that jackals, tigers and leopards would rush out.
I felt some regret in my heart, but I had no choice but to go on with tears in my eyes.
Not long after walking, I saw an old mother in front of the mountain road, holding a cotton coat with a flower hat on it.
When Sanzang saw that she was approaching, he hurriedly led his horse and stood on the right side to give way.
The old mother asked: "Where are you from as an elder, and why are you walking here alone and desolately?"
Sanzang said: "My disciple is a man from the Eastern Tang Dynasty who went to the Western Heaven to worship the living Buddha and seek the true scriptures under the imperial decree."
The old mother said: "The road to the West is far away. How can you get there alone and without a partner?"
Tang Sanzang was feeling depressed, so he immediately told the story of his quarrel with Sun Dasheng, feeling very aggrieved.
Didn't he just criticize and educate the other party?
The other party actually just walked away.
The old mother’s eyes flashed and she said:
"Elder, I have this cotton robe, a hat inlaid with gold flowers, and a mantra called the mantra for centering the mind, also known as the mantra for tightening. You can recite it secretly and keep it in your mind. Don't
Let others know that I will catch up with the Great Sage and ask him to come back to you. You can find a way to wear this hat with him. If he refuses to obey your orders, just recite this mantra silently, and he will never dare to commit evil again, nor will he.
Dare to leave privately."
After Tang Sanzang heard this, he bowed his head and thanked him.
The old mother immediately turned into a golden light and returned to the east, with countless golden lotuses falling down.
Tang Sanzang immediately knew that this was the mantra taught by Guanyin Bodhisattva, so he hurriedly gathered some earth and burned incense, looked east and worshiped sincerely.
This chapter is not finished yet, please click the next page to continue reading the exciting content! Guanyin Bodhisattva has been very busy recently. Not long ago, he rushed to Huaguo Mountain and told Sun Wukong to go to Liangjie Mountain to wait for Buddhist monks. After that, he went to Gao
Laozhuang, Liushahe and other places contacted Na Zhugangxi, Sha Wujing, Xiao Bailong and others respectively to inform them that the pilgrims were on their way.
As a result, within a few days, the monkey gave up the game.
On the other side, Wukong stepped on somersault clouds and traveled between heaven and earth with a displeased look on his face. He was about to go to heaven and talk to the Jade Emperor to see if he could change his punishment.
Suddenly, the Buddha's light shone, a lotus rose, and Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared. She was holding a jade purification bottle, her white skirt was fluttering, and the golden light of merit behind her head was shining. She appeared high in the sky and blocked his way.
"Why did the Great Sage leave alone?"
Wukong said angrily: "Why are you leaving? First of all, I am just the protector of Tang Monk, not his follower. He treats me as a servant, so naturally I give up the job!"
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva had a headache and said: "Okay, I will persuade him to go back quickly. He is a mortal and it is too dangerous to travel alone."
"No, I have one more condition."
"What conditions?"
"Since Buddhism has chosen me to be the protector of the Way, if danger is detected on the way to seek scriptures, everything will be based on my opinion. If Tripitaka refuses to listen and insists on going to a dangerous place, if an accident occurs, he will be held responsible.
You can’t rely on me!”
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva frowned, decided to appease him first, nodded and said:
"I can promise you this too."
This monkey is so disobedient, we must arrange a wave.
She didn't notice that a pair of silver eyes were watching all this indifferently from the sky.
