Chapter 266: Clearing up the grudges

The Headless Horseman is firing on all cylinders, and the ensuing battle has lost all suspense. It can be described as a unilateral "beating".

"God's way is reincarnation. Who will God spare? The father-in-law who beats the mandarin ducks will eventually be beaten by his son-in-law." Ren's eyelids jumped while watching the battle, and his tone was full of schadenfreude.

In the field, Qui-Gon has already unfolded the prototype of his own domain, with sharp sword energy cutting through the sky, tearing wildly, stirring the black mist!

Occasionally, a bright sword light breaks through the shrouded fog, but in the end it is short-lived, and is soon mercilessly scattered by the iron chain burning with blue flames!

No matter how hard Qui-Gon fought, he was still unable to restore his decline. He had not yet fully recovered from the previous battle with Mahad, and was no match for the powerful Headless Horseman.

Ren, the melon-eater, shrugged and concluded: "This bloody family dispute will be over soon."

Clang!!

Suddenly there was a harsh sound of metal collision in the black fog, and a frightening cold light penetrated the thick fog and flew into the air!

Whoosh~

Ren jumped up and flew across the sky like lightning. His palms covered with psychic gloves caught what flew out.

He took a closer look and saw that it was Qui-Gon's sword. It was a masterpiece-level sword with a sharp body. There were exquisite feather-like patterns on both sides of the blade, and the middle was also engraved with runes to enhance sharpness and durability.

With a faint blue light flashing in his eyes, Ren looked intently into the thick fog, and he could vaguely see an embarrassed figure in a robe still struggling to hold on inside.

His psychic armor, filled with golden light, was gnawed into pits by the twisted and ferocious heads of resentment, and the glazed psychic sword in his hand was on the verge of breaking.

Clang clang clang!

Two giant pillar-like iron whips whipped Qui-Gon crazily. The Headless Horseman's hair flew wildly, and his body was covered in strange, cold white flames. Every swing of his arms would knock his opponent back again and again.

After being unable to attack for a long time, he seemed to have completely lost his patience. His magma-like pupils suddenly emitted a few inches of red light in the darkness, and his arms suddenly waved out afterimages, and chains filled the sky with the force of thunder.

Smash it down together!

puff!

Spurting out a mouthful of blood, the psychic sword in Qui-Gon's hand shattered, the psychic armor on his body also exploded and scattered, and the whole person flew out like a cannonball!

His body plowed a deep dent in the ground, and countless shrubs and grass blades were rolled up along the route, sweeping up the dust in the sky.

boom!

After a violent collision, Qui-Gon broke a branch of a big tree before stopping his body from flying upside down, and finally lay helpless in the messy bushes.

Coughing, Qui-Gon coughed up a few mouthfuls of blood, struggled a few times before he managed to sit up, and leaned his back on a stone next to him.

His clothes were in tatters, his face was stained with blood, he was panting heavily, his breath became very weak, and he was obviously seriously injured.

Boom boom…

The black mist dissipated, and the Headless Horseman walked over step by step. The dark chains on his body were bound to the surface of his body again, and his ferocious aura gradually became restrained.

"I didn't expect, Zayu, after killing so many clan members, you have become so powerful."

Looking at the Headless Horseman who came to him, Qui-Gon sighed feebly and glanced at Ren.

Staring at Qui-Gon with his scarlet eyes, the Headless Horseman stretched out his thick palm, exhaled a breath of black air, and said in a deep voice:

"Her... relic... bring it!"

After a moment of silence, Qui-Gon sighed as he noticed the increasingly cruel gaze of the Headless Horseman.

Being under the eaves, he had to lower his head. He reluctantly took out a pink-covered notebook and a strange-shaped feather fan with colorful feathers from the storage ring, and threw them to the Headless Horseman.

With a trace of tenderness flashing in his eyes, the Headless Horseman gently caressed these two things with his fingers.

The bird-feather fan was a token of love he gave her, and the notebook recorded her lovesickness and despair during the last period of her life.

"Let the grudges be settled." After looking through the notebook for a while, the Headless Horseman said in a calm tone.

Qui-Gon wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and said nothing, acquiescing to this result.

A hundred years have passed since her daughter passed away, and Zayu has turned into a ferocious-looking resentful spirit. What is right and what is wrong is no longer that important.

At this time, Renn slowly walked over from the side holding a cold long sword.

With gray light flowing in his chest, the Headless Horseman put the two things in his hands into his body, stared at him and said in a deep voice:

"Help you... for five years... the ring... belongs to me."

Ren was stunned, subconsciously glanced at the silver storage ring in his hand, and nodded after thinking for a moment.

This is a peak fourth-level [cursed spirit]. Among the ancestral spirits enshrined by the Kangao people, there are probably few who are stronger than the Headless Horseman.

Of course, given that he is unconscious most of the time, this powerful thug is not easy to use and can easily injure friendly troops. However, in critical moments, throwing it towards the enemy can be a complete killer.

call out!

The Headless Horseman turned into a streak of gray light and entered the ring in his hand. The surface of the silver-white ring was stained with a layer of gray.

Ren tapped the ring on his index finger with his thumb, and the runes of the spirit-sealing array were activated again. In this way, without his permission, the other party could not escape if the ring was broken.

"Mr. Qui-Gon, do you need me to help you? You're welcome. I always respect the old and care for the young." Renn looked at the very embarrassed 6th Marquis Thornton in front of him with a smile.

"No need, I can't die yet."

With a cold snort, Kui-Gon, with messy hair, stood up again while holding on to the stone, and reached out to pat the dirt off his black robe.

Ren pursed his lips and turned around to leave. In this case, it was naturally impossible for him to get close to Qui-Gon, and the other party was not so generous. It would be good if he was not hostile to him.

"Young man, you took away my 'White Frost' and gave it back to me. I will pretend that today's incident does not exist and keep it a secret for you!" Seeing that he was about to take away the sword that he had used for most of his life, Kui

Just shouted hurriedly.

With the corners of his mouth raised slightly, Ren stopped leaving, turned around and said sarcastically:

"You're such a bad old man, you're so bad that you even cheated your son-in-law. Why should I trust you?"

"You bastard, I'm too lazy to argue with you. I swear on the honor of the Thornton family that today's matter will be wiped out." Qui-Gon said with a serious expression.

Ren shrugged his shoulders without any nostalgia, threw the sword "White Frost" behind him, and left without looking back.

It's just a sword, not a knife. There's no need to completely offend a marquis family. If the other party refuses to give up, he won't give up at all now.

After watching Ren leave, Qui-Gon picked up the long sword. The fourth-level strong man had a strong physique and good recovery power. Soon he was able to move.

"Let's put an end to the centuries-old grudge." He muttered to himself, rested for a while, and walked down the mountain.
