Chapter 75 Civil Strife in the French Army

Because of the precaution against Vietnamese soldiers, the camps of French soldiers and the camps of indigenous soldiers were not mixed together.

Instead, there were indigenous barracks on the periphery, and the French in the center. The purpose of this was to attack the camp, and even if the camp was attacked, the loss would still be the indigenous soldiers.

This phenomenon is very common among the French army in Vietnam, and it also reflects from another aspect that in the eyes of the French, the discriminated indigenous Vietnamese soldiers are always inferior.

Outside the French commander's camp, several French guards were on patrol.

"Stop! What are you doing!?" shouted the guard at the entrance of the French military headquarters.

Under the night, the brazier burned blazingly, and the dim firelight reflected Ruowen and his group. Their purpose was to assassinate the French commander. As long as the commander died and caused chaos to the French army, they could take advantage of the situation.

Hearing the guard's shout, Ruan Wenyu's subordinates immediately stopped and said, "It's me, Battalion Commander Ruan!"

Hearing the reply, the guards relaxed and immediately put away their guns.

However, when he saw that Battalion Commander Ruan was still with a few people, the guard couldn't help but asked: "Captain Ruan, what are you doing!?"

"I have something to report to the brigade commander." Taking a deep breath, Ruan Wen replied calmly.

It was late at night at this time, and the guard was very strange. Battalion Commander Ruan asked the commander now, but couldn't he find it tomorrow?

"Commander Ruan, please wait!" Although it was a little strange, a soldier from the guard ran into the commander's camp to report.

Seeing that things were progressing quite smoothly, Ruowen couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Now that he only needs to see the commander, the rest will be easier to handle.

Inside the French army headquarters camp.

"Sir! Battalion Commander Ruan is here. He said he has something to report!" the guard said, standing in front of the commander.

"Oh!?" The French commander, who was resting in the camp, heard the report from his guards and was very surprised that Ruan Wen was looking for him at this time.

"Then let him in!" Now that he had been awakened and his sleepiness had long since dissipated, he decided to meet this Ruan Wen.

"Sir, I'm waiting for you inside, follow me!" the guard ran out and said, then turned around and prepared to lead the way.

But just when Ruan Wen and his party, who were secretly happy in their hearts, were about to go in, something unexpected happened, which made their anxious hearts tighten.

"Wait a minute! The headquarters is an important military location. Weapons are not allowed and the followers will stay outside!" This sentence almost made Ruan Wen and his party's hearts rise to their throats.

As the words fell, a tall French officer walked out of the night. Seeing this officer, the rest of the French guards saluted.

Seeing this man appear, Ruan Wen's heart sank slightly, knowing that something was in trouble. This man was the deputy captain of the guard, a very difficult guy.

At this moment, a series of thoughts flashed through his mind, but they were suppressed by him and did not show on his face.

"Oh! It's Captain Kaste. I didn't expect you to be on duty tonight!" Ruan Wen didn't change his expression, neatly took out a cigarette from his pocket, and greeted the guard captain Kaste warmly.

Kaste, however, did not appreciate Ruan Wen's affection. He pushed away Ruan Wen's cigarette and continued with a cold expression: "Battle Commander Ruan, don't make it difficult for me!"

"So good!" Ruan Wen awkwardly took back the cigarette he handed out, then turned to his subordinates and said: "You all take off your guns and hand them to the guards."

But things have progressed to this point, and the brothers in each battalion are ready. It is impossible to give up now. It seems that the only option is to attack by force. Success or failure depends on this.

When unbuckling the pistol case, Ruan Wen gave his subordinates a wink. His subordinates, who knew this well, were ready to attack at any time.

And when his subordinates were about to shoot, at the moment when the guards relaxed, Ruan Wen yelled: "Do it!"

"Bang!" Ruan Wen raised his hand and fired at Captain Castel who was closest to him.

Kaste, who was shot, really didn't expect that Ruan Wen would shoot him, and his face was still in shock and confusion. His chest felt warm, and all the strength in his body disappeared. Before his consciousness fell into darkness, he heard the fierce exchange of gunfire.

.

And watching the bullet penetrate Kaste's chest, the guards on the side were shocked by Ruan Wen's performance. What happened? Why did Ruan Battalion Commander kill the captain! But the rest of Ruan Wen's subordinates did not

He kept his hand and shot the guard.

"Assassin!" "Enemy attack!"

As several guards fell down, the others immediately came to their senses, moved away to find cover, and fired back!

The two sides exchanged fire, and the Vietnamese soldiers caught the other side by surprise. Only a few soldiers of the French guards were left to resist.

"Brothers! Follow me and charge!!" Ruan Wen took the lead and rushed forward.

Although Ruan Wen and his party quickly eliminated several guards, the fierce gunfire had already alerted other French troops, who would come to support at any time.

The situation was critical, and he didn't care about nonsense. Ruan Wen led his people directly into the French army headquarters.

But as soon as he entered the camp, Ruan Wen didn't see the French commander. He searched all over and couldn't find anyone. But the more he couldn't find him, the more anxious and angry Ruan Wen became: "Where are the people? Where are they hiding? Are they all there?"

Find it for me!"

"Here! Run away from here!" A subordinate pointed to the corner of the camp.

There, there was a two-foot-long hole cut with a sharp weapon, and the French commander obviously ran away from here.

It turned out that the French commander had become a little suspicious when he heard the guard's report. But in the middle of the night, Ruan Wen brought several of his men to see him? The subsequent gunshot let him know that things had changed, and he immediately cut off the soldiers.

Opened camp and ran away.

When he saw this place, Ruan Wen's face turned livid. It was in such a mess now that he had no time to find the French commander again. He had been busy for so long, but he didn't expect that he would fall short in the end.

The sound of gunfire in the distance was approaching, and Ruan Wen could only reluctantly order: "Withdraw! Rush out!"

At this time, the Hainan special operations soldiers on the hill had discovered the chaos in the French military camp and reported the matter to Niu Meng.

"Instructor! The French army may have bombed the camp, should we attack it?" Shanmao was responsible for monitoring the French army camp, and he reported it to Niu Meng as soon as possible.

"No! Our first mission is to guard the air force base. And if we rush down, we will lose our firepower advantage and we may get trapped in it accidentally." Niu Meng rejected Shanmao's suggestion. He believed that military orders must be resolutely implemented without any hesitation.

Any situation at the air base is allowed.

Moreover, the French army bombed the camp to make them fight as fiercely as possible, and it would be best if all of them died. In this way, the pressure they would face tomorrow would be greatly reduced.

The Hainante soldiers on the hill were sitting on the mountain watching the fight between tigers and tigers, but the Vietnamese soldiers below were in a miserable situation. Although they caught the French by surprise at first, the French soldiers who reacted had already launched a counterattack.

Because they were not trusted by the colonial governor, the Vietnamese indigenous soldiers did not have heavy weapons. They were equipped with some old rifles or a small number of grenades, machine guns, mortars and other weapons.

Gradually, the Vietnamese soldiers fell into a disadvantage and were in a stalemate with the French soldiers. They could only deal with the French soldiers in the camp.
