Chapter 10 The Sleeping Treasure

The four people rushed to the blinds, and then their expressions froze.

What appeared in everyone's sight was a majestic and magnificent main city, with row upon row of streets, criss-crossing and neatly arranged like a chess board.

The beautiful buildings full of Baroque style are located in the long street in an orderly manner, surrounded by stars like the moon, surrounding the Duke's Castle in the center of the main city.

The elegant and majestic planning layout makes the main city look like a hand-me-down painting by the great artist Van Gogh, full of beauty and resembling a graceful and luxurious woman.

But now, this noble lady has been laid in the cemetery, because the main city is dead!

"What the hell is this place? Where have everyone gone?" Tony couldn't contain the shock on his face.

Everyone was silent, they couldn't answer at all.

This large main city was covered with dust and lifeless, as if it were covered with a coffin and buried in a cemetery.

"If it was a city that was destroyed by war, why were those buildings intact?" Robinson thought hard but couldn't find the answer.

"Are we underground?" Downton looked up and could only see a thick layer of black clouds, without a ray of sunlight shining through.

The reason why everyone can see the scenery in the distance is because there are fireflies emitting dark red light floating everywhere. They gather together to form strips of light, like auroras.

The buildings are also covered with a dark moss, which emits green fluorescence.

"Get rich!" Robinson suddenly roared, breaking the silence of the bedroom.

"Is your skull broken? Those walking around in the streets are undead creatures, not gold coins!" Tony complained. The ghouls wandering on the streets almost drove him crazy. If they were discovered, they would definitely be torn apart.

into pieces.

Robinson ignored Tony at all, excitedly rushed to the furniture, rummaged through the cabinets, and soon found a money bag.

"What are you crazy about?"

Pires couldn't help but complain, but the next second, he shut up in surprise.

After thousands of years, the cloth had long since weathered. Before Robinson could untie it, the purse was broken into pieces, and dozens of coins fell to the floor with a clinking sound and rolled out.

Tony's eyes almost exploded, and the golden light made him breathe heavily.

"It's true, probably because the war suddenly came, and when the residents here were evacuated, they didn't have time to take away their private property." Robinson picked up a gold coin, feeling the cold metal touch, and his voice trembled.

"Looking at the size of this main city, it has a population of at least 600,000, and the huge wealth of 600,000 people is all lying there, waiting for us to dig out."

"That's not all. The deposits in the major banks, the goods in the major shops, and the collections in the treasure rooms of the noble houses are all ours now!"

Tony stared at the castle in the city center, his eyes burning, "To be able to sit in this kind of main city, you must be a hereditary noble with a high position and a family that has been passed down for thousands of years, right? How much wealth will he have? Countless

It’s all done!”

Except for Downton, the four Robinsons swallowed subconsciously. If they get these, it is absolutely no problem to become billionaires, not to mention being as rich as the country. You must know that there are many multimillionaires among the nobles alone. Now, they

All the gold coins are yours.

Downton's expression remained unchanged, but his heart was almost burning with anxiety. The wealth of this entire city was simply forcing him to die.

This is an opportunity to become a billionaire very easily. Who wants to share it with a stranger whom you just met? Not to mention that the person you want to break up with is so weak that you can stab it to death with just one finger.

Huge wealth is always a perfect test of human nature, and many people will turn in blank papers!

Downton is very self-aware. The three Robinsons are old partners and may be evenly divided. But as for him and Duren, they are strangers to them. The most important thing is that in their eyes, these two are little bits of fish.

He has no ability to protect himself.

The most troublesome thing is that during the previous escape, the three Robinsons had already shown hostility. If Downton never thought that the other party hired him just to use him as a temptation, then he would be really hopelessly stupid.

"It's a dead end!" Downton smiled bitterly, as if the goddess of fate had lifted up her skirt towards you, revealing her seductive black stockings, and then suddenly changed her focus and spat in your face.

"Don't forget that the concentration of magic energy here is the most important resource!" Du Lun added with excitement on his face.

In the Western Continent, any area where the concentration of magic energy is higher than the average is a treasure land that major powers compete for, because it can cultivate more and stronger magic users, which can most directly enhance the country's war strength.

This kind of treasure land is very valuable. Not to mention the improvement of one's own strength. If the information is handed over to His Majesty the King, if it is confirmed, the devotee will immediately be given the hereditary noble title of at least an earl based on the concentration of magic energy.

This is not a shabby aristocrat on the streets, but a real lord with a fiefdom, allowing ordinary people to become the capital to enter the upper class society in one fell swoop.

"I want to buy a dozen elf maids and a dozen fox maids, and I'll keep changing them every night!" Tony was so excited that his pimples were about to burst, and he was talking about how he would enjoy life in the future.

"Those ghouls are not mud that you can knead, and there may be other undead creatures. If you don't wipe them out, you will never get those sleeping gold coins."

Downton poured cold water on him, but he did not give up and began to save himself.

When wealth cannot be easily obtained, they will face the crisis at hand. What Downton has to do is to show value so that they will not kill him immediately.

"As long as you survive, you will have a chance!" Downton thought of the grimoire, and coupled with the five times concentration of magic energy here, he should be able to enter the soul level quickly.

The ecstasy on the faces of the four people faded away, and they finally realized that the current situation was not as optimistic as they had imagined.

"We don't have much food. If we can't find supplies within two days, we will definitely starve to death!" Downton deliberately added a deadline to tell them that time is very tight, and one more person means more strength.

The faces of the four people were ugly. Fortunately, Downton had not lost his backpack, otherwise everyone would have been hungry.

"If I had known better, I wouldn't have thrown away my backpack." Tony thumped his chest, regretting it to death, and then a slightly ferocious look appeared on his face. Killing the two of them would save two portions of food, and of course, two huge portions.

wealth.

"Fortunately, Downton was prepared for a rainy day!" Robinson smiled and put his right hand on Tony's shoulder, pressing it hard to signal him to calm down.

"Downton, you won't monopolize the food, will you?" Pires also quickly gave his friend a stop look. The three of them have known each other for a long time, and through some small actions, they knew each other's thoughts.

"Of course not. Depending on the situation, there are a lot of ghouls in this building, and I have to rely on you to deal with them. If I die, I'm doomed. Damn it, I wish I were at the soul level!" Downton showed his depression.

The expressions on their faces emphasized the strength of both parties without any trace, telling them that they were no threat at all.

"Don't worry, you won't suffer any loss, and I will give you an extra gold coin in the end!" Robinson comforted Downton, like a generous benefactor.

Duren happily punched Downton in the chest.

"Boy, you have made a lot of money, how are you going to spend the money?" Tony put his arm around Downton's shoulders and pretended to be affectionate, but deep down he was laughing to death. The two idiots were being played around by Robinson and they didn't even know.

If he lets you leave alive, then he will meet the undead.

"Buy a complete set of excellent lynx suits, and buy some Frannian thoroughbred horses, manors, and servants. These are all necessary!" Downton looked longingly, describing his dream in a serious manner, paralyzing his opponent, but deep down in his heart there was a feeling.

sneer.

He is simply not strong enough to hold on to the food. If he doesn't hand it over, he will annoy the other party. A beating will be a minor blow. If the relationship is tense, no matter how small a move he makes, it will be inconvenient.

"Five days' worth of food is just one portion for each person, okay?" Downton was worried that everything would be taken away, so he distributed it directly.

Robinson nodded when he saw that Downton was not hiding anything.

"Time is very tight, let's go find the magic stone quickly!" Du Lun urged. This kid was so nervous that he didn't notice the other party's hostility at all.

"How to group them together?" Downton looked at Pires, "How about we work as a group? We are weak. If we act alone, we will die!"

Robinson was originally going to keep Downton and Durham by his side to monitor them, but after hearing this, he hesitated.

"No, it's a waste of time and manpower. They all act alone, each responsible for an area." Pires simply refused.

"But it's too dangerous." Downton pretended to be reluctant, but he was actually trying to retreat. If he proposed to act alone, Robinson would definitely be suspicious given his character.

Robinson slowly opened the door. Amidst the harsh creaking sound of the rusty door shaft, he stuck his head out to observe the situation.

"There is no danger. Okay, stop talking nonsense. Time is running out. Act quickly!"

Robinson winked, and Tony and Pires immediately pulled Downton and Duren and pushed them out of the bedroom.

"One on each side!" Robinson pointed to the stairs at both ends of the corridor and asked, "Aren't you cowards?"

"You are the coward, Downton, be careful!" Duren rolled his eyes and stretched out his right hand.

"The same to you!"

Bang, Downton waved and high-fived his friend.

Downton moved forward cautiously until he got down the stairs, then leaned against the wall and let out a long breath.

"Finally, I can save my life for the time being!" Downton noticed that his whole back had become soaked without knowing it, and the sweat dripped on the floor, making the dust wet.

"This seems to be a hotel, no matter what, find a place to hide first and absorb the magic energy!"

Looking at the silent corridor, Downton suppressed the urge to choose a room nearby. He walked to the middle section and left a few footprints in front of a door. After making the illusion of entering, he walked along the steps he had previously stepped on.

He walked backwards from the footprints, then pushed open a door and jumped in.

"Without leaving any footprints, we should be able to prevent them from finding it as soon as possible!" Downton had to be careful, "Dulun, don't return it foolishly!"

Sitting cross-legged on the bed, he took out the grimoire and put it on his lap. Downton took a few deep breaths and began to meditate. Time was so tight that he didn't even have time to talk to Homer.
