Chapter 117 The Fire of First Love

The skyline was still twinkling with stars, and before dawn, Downton could not wait to lift the quilt and jump out of bed.

"Are you having insomnia?" The grimoire placed on the desk stretched out its elemental arm and lit the oil lamp.

A slightly dim light immediately filled the room.

"Well, I don't know what happened?" Downton usually exercised, but this time he took a few deep breaths and walked into the bathroom.

Hot water sprayed out of the shower head and washed over his body, which immediately brought a sense of relief and made Downton's mind clear up a lot.

"This boy won't fall in love with the lady behind the Wolf and Spice shop just because she likes her voice, right?" Homer sighed, the young man's feelings are really as uncertain as the clouds in the sky.

After wiping the water droplets off his body, Downton put the towel on the bedside, picked up the linen clothes and put them on.

Even though he has a lot of money, Downton has never thought about buying expensive clothes and food to make his life better. He is still the energetic boy from Morning Mist Town who lives a simple life.

"gone!"

Letting the grimoire put Jackson into the war space, Downton picked it up, put on his leather backpack, locked the door, and went straight to the mine gate.

The guards on the guard tower were slacking off, and Downton was approaching. They were still sleeping soundly, and they didn't even notice. If they were attacked by a surprise attack, they would definitely not survive.

"Hey, open the door, I want to go out." Downton yelled and smashed the door of the sentry tower.

"Which bastard is yelling? Don't you know that no one is allowed to go out without the boss's order?" New miners are often tortured to the point of collapse and want to leave the mine. The guards are used to it, so they don't take it seriously.

What's going on, "Go back quickly and don't disturb the uncle's sleep."

"I have an order from the boss." Downton originally wanted to endure it, but after waiting for more than ten minutes, he didn't see anyone opening the door, so he kicked the wooden door directly.

Boom, sawdust flew everywhere, and a hole appeared in the door.

The guards were awakened, and each one of them had a bad temper and wanted to beat someone.

"You are looking for death!"

A middle-aged guard picked up a spear and rushed out cursing. He swung it and was about to slap the guy without eyes when he saw Downton standing outside the door and froze.

"You disturb my sleep, I don't want to live anymore." A guard came from behind, but was immediately stopped by his companions.

"Shhhh, stop talking, it's Downton."

All the curses and complaints disappeared instantly. When the guards saw Downton, although they did not flatter him, they did not ask any questions and hurriedly opened the iron gate of the mine.

If it were anyone else who went out, they would inevitably have the guards find excuses to ask for some money, but today they were extremely honest.

There is no way, Downton has been in too much limelight recently. They are the ones who challenge the chief supervisor. These guards on our side have either paid to come in or have connections. They are not even magicians. If they provoke others, they will probably be beaten.

Like a dead dog.

"Don't you need to check the chief's warrant?" Downton took out a wooden sign, which was the voucher for entering and exiting the mine.

"No, you are a popular person in front of Lord Dofink. How dare we check your things." The cunning guard reacted and put on a smile.

"I'm leaving."

Downton was a little surprised that there was no difficulty as expected. However, he didn't want to talk nonsense with them and walked out of the mine quickly.

"You are already in your thirties, don't you feel embarrassed to nod and kowtow to a fifteen-year-old boy?" A guard looked at Downton's back, feeling unbalanced. He felt that he was also an ordinary person, so why did he get the title of the boss?

favor.

"Don't be surprised, Mr. Li. If Dofink can really control the mine, we can establish a relationship with Downton and leave a way out in the future." The slippery guard muttered and walked back to the sentry tower to catch up on his sleep.

After walking a long way and losing sight of the mine, Downton took out his soul mount badge and input his magic energy.

The snow-white crescent unicorn jumped out and shook its head, its silky mane like a waterfall.

Downton got on his horse, flicked the reins, and the unicorn ran as fast as a shooting star in the sky. In the morning, he arrived at Morning Fog Town.

Not daring to show off on his unicorn, Downton entered the town on foot.

Because of his profession as a postman, many townspeople knew this serious young man, so they greeted him with a smile, and some aunts even invited him to their homes.

Downton declined one by one. After buying a large bag of apples from a fruit shop, he ran to the Wolf and Spice grocery store. When he saw that the store door was still closed, a look of disappointment crept up his face.

"Find a place to have breakfast, and then go buy some herbs." Homer projected text to remind Downton, "Releasing Jackson will shock many people and reduce your troubles."

Downton nodded mechanically and walked lonely on the stone street. Although the weather was sunny, he felt that the color of the world was dim.

"Young man, are you here to buy some potion?"

A refreshing question reached his ears, making Downton stop in shock, and then a smile escaped from the corner of his mouth.

"Yeah!" Downton turned around and nodded heavily.

The female owner of the grocery store stood at the door, holding a broom and preparing to clean the long street. She was still wearing a brown cloak, and the huge hood covered her face, leaving only her fair chin exposed.

"Ah, it's you, we remember you!" There was a hint of surprise in the female shopkeeper's voice, "Welcome!"

Her voice is so unique, and the upturned coda at the end of each sentence is full of carelessness, like the breeze blowing through the grassland.

Downton was embarrassed and scratched his hair. He didn't know how to answer. Hearing this sound like summer clouds again, he still liked it very much.

"Hey, the estrus season has come early." Homer sighed, fell silent, and stopped disturbing Downton.

"Shall I help you clean the shop?" Downton finally found the topic and hurried over, reaching for the broom.

"No, how can we let customers work?" The female shopkeeper refused, "You go in and take a look, we will finish it soon."

Downton walked into the grocery store. Normally, he would have looked at the potions on the shelves, but today he had been distracted and couldn't concentrate at all.

"What do you want to buy? Ahem!" Before the female shopkeeper could finish asking, she coughed violently. She quickly took out a handkerchief and covered her mouth.

"Are you sick?" Downton didn't know what he was worried about, but he was very confused anyway.

The female shopkeeper shook her head and did not answer. Although she tried her best to hide it, Downton, who had good eyesight, still saw a trace of blood on the white handkerchief.

After coughing for a long time, the female shopkeeper recovered and apologized, "I'm sorry to make you laugh. I ran into some trouble when I went out this time."

"If I can help, please feel free to ask." After Downton finished speaking, he saw a pair of eyes as bright as stars looking over. Although it was only for a moment, it still made his heart throb.

"We are not in the habit of asking strangers to help us." The female shopkeeper refused with a smile.

"I'm sorry." Downton suddenly realized how abrupt his words were and quickly apologized. Then the other person's words made him extremely uncomfortable.

Downton was very annoyed by this state. He didn't know what was happening to him and why he couldn't calm down.

"It's okay, let's think about it, are you here to buy the dragon-slaying potion?" The female shopkeeper walked behind the counter, took a red apple, and lay down on the bench.

Click, the apple is very crisp, and a piece is bitten off by the white teeth, filling the room with sweetness.

"Yeah!" Downton nodded, "If you have any other potions or herbs, I'll take them too."

"Sorry, we ran into some trouble when we went out this time, and the potion has not been prepared yet." The female shopkeeper was very depressed about the broken promise, so she suggested, "To compensate you, we can give you a 50% discount on everything you bought.

"

"No need, just keep the money for medical treatment." Downton said as he was not short of money, turned around and left. He thought this was the female shopkeeper's words to exclude customers. After all, how can potions of the Dragon Slayer level be used?

Can be bought easily.

"Huh?" The female shopkeeper didn't understand why Downton wanted to leave, but she didn't stop him.

When Downton was about to leave the town, he realized that the fruit he was carrying had not been sent out yet. He hesitated whether to go back.

"Idiot, what are you worried about?" Homer projected burning magic flame words to encourage Downton, "Men must rush, rush, rush!"

"Okay, I can't eat so many apples. Just put them at the door and leave." Downton made a self-defeating excuse and ran to the grocery store.

"How are you going to compensate us for selling fake medicine?" Three mercenaries entered Wolf and Spice and smashed a bottle of water on the ground.

The female shopkeeper ate her apple and did not answer.

"Our brother drank your potion and is now sick. You have to pay for it." After the leader of the scar-faced mercenary finished speaking, he ordered his subordinates to move things. "If you don't have money, then use the potion to pay the bill."

After Scarface accidentally drank the potion he bought from here, he realized that there was an opportunity to make a fortune in front of him. After repeatedly asking for information, he confirmed that the owner of the Wolf and Spice shop was a commoner and had no background, so he took action.

"As long as I finish this job, I can become a millionaire. I didn't expect that these unlabeled medicines are of high quality. I really made a fortune."

"So, we hate human beings. It seems we are moving to a new home." The female shopkeeper put the apple core on the fruit plate and prepared to kill someone.

"What are you doing?" Downton broke into the store and stared at these people.

"Where did you come from, you little bastard? Get out of here, this is none of your business." The scar-faced mercenary cursed and waved his two-handed sword to threaten Downton.

"Put the things back where they belong, or don't blame me for being rude." Downton took out the grimoire from his backpack and opened the war space.

Jackson, dressed in light armor, appeared with the Rending Dragon Fang and the Warrior Saber on his back. It also carried a Warrior Dagger on its waist, which was almost armed to the teeth.

"Space equipment?"

"Excellent level weapon?"

The mercenaries were about to take action, but when they saw Jackson suddenly appearing, they were all restrained and froze in place.

After picking up an apple, the female shopkeeper lay back down again. After thinking about it, she took out a potion illustration from the drawer and browsed through it at will. (To be continued...)
