Chapter 26: Encounter Adventure Group

In less than a second, as his right foot touched the ground, Downton's eyes were stung by the sudden sunlight, and he couldn't help but close his eyelids.

Different from the dark environment of the underground city, the small town in Crow Ridge is bathing in the summer sunshine. Although it is still shabby and dirty, it has a slightly warm atmosphere.

"No. 4, alert!"

Downton directed the ghoul to stand in front of him, covering his eyes with his left hand and opening a crack.

There was silence in the corridor. The sunlight passed through the rotting roof, leaving streaks of light, and you could clearly see the rolling particles of dust.

"open circuit!"

Following Downton's order, No. 4 took the lead, rushed down the stairs, left the hotel, and ran quickly out of the town.

Downton followed closely behind. In order to move easily, he and No. 4 were all dressed in leather armor. They tore the dragon's teeth and put them into the war space. They also brought a Roman short sword.

As long as he doesn't run into the ghoul that is suspected of being a lord, Downton is almost safe. The boy who used to have a high chance of dying against an ordinary ghoul has now become a killer.

Enjoying the warm summer breeze and looking at the low shrubs, Downton felt like he was leaping from the ocean.

At the entrance of the town, a wandering ghoul saw Downton and immediately pounced on him like a mad dog that had been hungry for months.

Downton leaned forward and accelerated with a few long strides, leaving No. 4 behind. Then a giant jumped, soared high into the air, and directly rushed across a distance of ten meters.

With the dagger in his right hand raised high, Downton used the momentum of his body to fall and slashed hard at the ghoul's head.

Giant slaying!

Zila, the ghoul was like butter cut by a hot table knife, and the whole body split into two pieces without any suspense.

"No. 4, move forward!"

Downton didn't even look at the dismembered ghoul. He waved his right hand forward and continued to surge like a hurricane!

The crows that were digging at the rotten soil with their claws and pecking for maggots were alarmed. They flapped their wings and flew into the sky. A series of noises also seemed to be cursing Downton.

After walking nearly two-thirds of the way, Downton didn't see a single ghoul. Instead of relaxing, he became more cautious.

"So quiet? It seems so abnormal!"

While taking a break from walking, Downton took out the grimoire and wrote some questions.

"Be careful and you won't make a big mistake!" Homer's projected text said, "When you have the opportunity, buy some detective magic accessories, which will make your situation much safer."

"Buy a horse first, it's such a waste of time." Downton thought about the gold coins in his pocket and laughed happily, "Orleans Highland Horse, here I come!"

"You are indeed a commoner, look at your little potential, you are as barren as a goblin!" Homer said with a venomous tongue.

"Then buy a Frannian purebred horse. I heard that they still have a trace of the power of the subdragon beast in their blood, and they can travel thousands of miles!" Downton said fiercely, "If that doesn't work, get the Plantagenet One-horned Horse."

horse!"

"You are such a shallow, ignorant, and ignorant commoner. I must give you popular science knowledge, otherwise it will really embarrass me, Lord Homer!" Homer hates that iron cannot be made into steel. "When you become stronger, I will

I will teach you how to set up the summoning array, and when the time comes, you can catch a pure-blooded fiery nightmare from the Demonic Abyss!"

"How long will it take?" Downton's eyes lit up, and he ignored Homer's words about common people.

Homer didn't really look down on Downton, that commoner was just his habit of speaking. Even if a high elf stood in front of him, he would still be called a commoner.

"Let's wait until you reach the war level, otherwise with your ability to fight against the five scum, you will definitely become the fodder for nightmares!" Homer saw that Downton was a little excited, and added, "You can't be idle during this period, you have to collect summons.

Materials, relatively complete soul seals, at least five hundred should be prepared, and the quality should be even better!"

"Five hundred pieces, doesn't that mean we have to kill five hundred low-level ghouls? Just looking at the materials required for this summoning, you know that the fiery nightmare must be very powerful."

Downton's eyes were immediately full of expectation. Little Grandet just had a highland horse, and he was so arrogant that he often rode it around in front of him, deliberately showing off.

When the time comes when we ride on Nightmare, he will be so embarrassed that he never dares to appear in front of him again.

A sudden scream interrupted Downton's sweet dream. He listened intently, and the faint sound of fighting came along with the breeze.

"Someone is in trouble!" Downton didn't hesitate and immediately rushed to the direction of the sound, hoping to help.

Homer does not comment on Downton's behavior, nor will he stop it. As a man, he should have his own judgment.

On the rotting soil, a large group of ghouls were frantically besieging an adventure group.

The battle situation was in danger. Three members of the group had already fallen. A dozen ghouls surrounded them and bit them fiercely, causing them to let out heart-wrenching wails as they were dying.

A knight wrapped in light armor roared repeatedly. He held a shield in his left hand and a three-finger-wide one-handed sword in his right hand. He repeatedly tried to break through the siege of ghouls and rescued three seriously injured members, but he cut down one of them.

There will be more undead coming.

"Hamlet, leave them alone and rush out while you still have the strength!"

A soldier in red armor next to him urged anxiously, but he was distracted when a ghoul's claws grabbed his arm, bringing out a flash of sparks.

"You madman, if you hadn't insisted on taking them, we wouldn't have been caught up by the ghouls!" A female knight who had exhausted her magic power struggled to hold on and accused Harley with tears on her face.

An archer whose face was pale due to excessive blood loss wanted to speak, but he kept coughing and spit out a mouthful of blood.

There were several deep scratches on the archer's chest. If it weren't for the knight's healing magic, he would have died long ago.

"We can't abandon them." Knight Hamlet disagreed, "If you persist a little longer, you can kill all these ghouls!"

"Leave him alone, let's go. This moralistic guy will not abandon them." Among the three people, there was also a female magician holding a staff, but her magic power was also exhausted.

I can't even help, so I have to let others protect me.

These young people were all 17 or 18 years old. They heard that there were tombs under Crow Ridge, so they formed an adventure group of 12 people to explore.

The initial progress was very smooth, killing ghouls, collecting souls, and picking magic potions. However, when approaching the edge of the center of Crow Ridge, the companion responsible for the investigation accidentally attracted an elite-level ghoul.

As the leader of the group, the female magician knew the strength of the team and ordered the retreat immediately. However, the ghouls were chasing too closely, and these undead, who already had low-level intelligence, knew how to summon their companions by shouting.

After escaping here, although they tried their best to kill high-level ghouls, the entire adventure group also ran out of ammunition and food.

Although the female magician is a war-level person, she has even used up the magic potions and magic stones she carried. She is helpless as a sky demon.

"It's all your fault, everyone will be killed by you!" Under the pressure of death, the female knight covered in blood lost her calm and roared at Hamlet.

Others also blamed Harley. If this guy hadn't insisted on taking his injured companion with him, slowing down everyone, he would have escaped long ago.

"They are companions, don't leave them behind!" Hamlet begged, waving his one-handed sword, a little golden light overflowed from the tip of the sword, and then expanded into a halo, covering the five people.

This is a divine magic, a self-healing aura, which can slowly heal wounds after blessing.

"I'm still not cruel enough, otherwise the group wouldn't be on the verge of being destroyed." The female magician glanced at the three companions who were dying under the gnawing of the ghouls, and gave a decisive order, "Let's go, Harley, you

If you don’t repent, just stay as a queen!”

The red-armored warrior and the female knight immediately followed the footsteps of the female magician. The archer wanted to follow, but his legs were weak and he fell to the ground after taking a few steps.

"Don't leave me!" The archer begged at the top of his lungs as he looked at the three people who were about to leave.

The female magician turned a deaf ear, but still couldn't leave. Hundreds of ghouls surrounded them, attacking frantically and blocking all the way out.

"It's all your fault for being such a bad guy. We're going to die. Do you know, we're going to die!" The archer saw the knight retreating and immediately slapped his calf with his longbow.

The archer is desperate. There are so many ghouls and everyone is injured. How can the sky demon escape?

"It'll be okay, believe me!" Hamlet was not angry, nor did he give up. His face under the winged helmet was still as determined as ever.

"The thing I regret most in my life is teaming up with a moral freak like you." The red-armored soldier cursed, wishing he could kill Harley with a knife.

When Downton appeared, the adventure group reached its most dangerous situation.

"Save them!" Downton was not a cold-blooded person. Even if it was dangerous, he had to give it a try.

"Be careful, there are twenty-six low-level ghouls." Homer pointed to the monsters that needed special attention, opened the war space, and handed the tearing dragon fang to No. 4.

"Someone is coming, save us!" The desperate female knight suddenly saw two figures rushing over from the distance. She immediately hugged a life-saving straw and shouted at the top of her lungs, her vocal cords almost torn.

Downton rushed a hundred yards, raised his hand, and a golden halo burst out from his fingertips.

Swish, golden light appeared above Hamlet's head like sand on the sea, and then sprinkled on his body, and power immediately filled his tired body.

Downton waved his hands continuously, blessing them with light. One hundred yards was the limit of his magical casting range. The range would not increase again until he was promoted to the war level.

"We are saved, it is the brilliance of Hercules' power." The red-armored warrior felt the power surging from his body, and his spirits immediately lifted.

"You have a trick in your head. Concentrate your firepower, attack a little, and break the siege." Downton shouted. This sound made several ghouls on the periphery focus on him and rush towards him.

"Number four!"

Downton blessed himself with the glory of power and took away the battle ax. Under the command, No. 4 also immediately pushed forward.

"It's this bastard who refuses to leave." The female knight seemed to have found a place to vent her anger and complained loudly.
