The raw meatballs were put out of the pan and sizzled for a while, but they didn't fry any more.
Gu Lian breathed a sigh of relief, turned her face sideways, and found a head resting on her shoulder.
Lu Zechen poked his head and shouted, "That's awesome."
Gu Lian picked up the rag and covered his head, "Wipe the oil stains clean."
Lu Zechen took off the rag in disgust and threw it far away. He scanned the area and found that oil was splashed everywhere.
By the time he finishes wiping, there's no need to make dinner.
Gu Lian had already expected this outcome, turned around, opened the locker above, and stepped forward to look for something.
The cabinet was too high and it was a bit difficult for her.
Lu Zechen walked over diligently, hugged her legs, and lifted her up.
Gu Lian was stunned for a second, then he looked for things as usual, and sure enough he found two tubes of slightly opened noodles.
Lu Zechen put her down and looked at her with a grateful expression.
Gu Lian opened the noodles and glanced at him, "What are you looking at? Work!"
Lu Zechen: "..."
He touched his nose awkwardly, picked up the discarded rag, and wiped the oil stain obediently.
Gu Lian was busy nearby, boiling water, making toppings, and taking out the frozen soup stock from the refrigerator.
Lu Zechen watched her take the bowl, but she only took one.
He stopped and said angrily, "I'm already busy at least, so I don't even get a bite of the noodles?"
Gu Lian looked at him sideways.
Lu Zechen: "..."
Forget it, if you don’t want to eat, then don’t eat.
He snorted twice and continued to wipe away the oil stains.
In the middle of the process, he quietly watched Gu Lian's movements and found that she had clearly chopped the green onions but did not put them in the soup bowl.
"If you don't eat onions, why would you cut them?"
"Who said I won't eat?"
"Then why don't you let it go?"
Gu Lian remained silent and ignored him again.
Lu Zechen dropped the rag, feeling a little itchy and wanted to go up and pinch her face.
When the water boiled, Gu Lian put noodles in, only for one person.
Lu Zechen watched from the side, a little depressed.
The noodles were ready quickly. Gu Lian filled the noodles and placed them on the dining table outside. However, he didn't eat them and went to coax Nian Nian.
Lu Zechen was confused and walked out to ask her, "Don't want to eat?"
Gu Lian glanced at him, "I just had it in your office. I'm not a pig."
Lu Zechen was stunned for a moment.
He glanced towards the dining table and reacted, "Did you make it for me?"
Gu Lian looked away, ignored him, and continued to coax Nian Nian.
Lu Zechen laughed. His depression disappeared instantly. He threw away the rag and walked towards the dining table.
Gu Lian immediately looked over and said, "Wash your hands."
Lu Zechen immediately raised his hands, "Yes, wash."
With that said, he slipped into the kitchen and came out at the speed of light.
Sitting at the dining table, he looked at the steaming noodles and felt happy.
While eating noodles, he looked at Gu Lian in the distance.
She wore a close-fitting black sweater that outlined her perfect figure. She hugged Nian Nian and hummed softly. She looked cold, but she had a different kind of tenderness.
"Boss Gu, we're running out of noodles, not enough to eat." He teased her.
She looked up at him and said, "Drink soup."
Lu Zechen: "..."
He sighed, really picked up the bowl, and drank half a bowl of soup.
Gu Lian: "Wash the dishes."
Lu Zechen shrugged, "I know."
He got up and took the bowl into the kitchen.
As the sky grew dark, Gu Lian carried the child and walked to the window. Listening to the sounds in the kitchen, one word suddenly came to his mind - home.
Glancing towards the kitchen, I thought this idea was a little ridiculous.
Before Lu Zechen came out, she carried the child upstairs and prepared to change clothes for Nian Nian.
