The night market was almost over, and stalls would pass by them from time to time. Gu Lian bought more candied haws and dipped skewers, and asked for a cup of hot roasted milk.
Lu Zechen looked at her buying things like setting up a stall, raised his eyebrows and asked, "Have you finished eating?"
"You care about me?"
He was used to her quarreling with him every day. He stamped out the remaining half of her cigarette and even approached her to beg for food.
"Give me one of the candied haws."
