He sat there for two days and two nights. On the morning of the third day, the sun jumped out of the ground and cast golden rays. The fog in the mountains and forests was dispersed by the sunlight, and every green leaf seemed to be breathing.
Li Qianmo slowly stopped his exercise and stood up, confused and said to himself: "Why did my cultivation level not only not decrease after suffering a serious injury, but also increase to the third level of Dharma?"
He frowned and pondered for a moment, then suddenly said to himself: "Is it because of the relationship with Lingdang? I heard that male and female monks can greatly improve their cultivation for the first time, especially the Yuan Yin of virgins, which has the greatest improvement in cultivation.
.”
He thought for a moment, and felt that there was only one possibility. When he thought of the bell, he couldn't help but feel sad, and sighed: "Now it's better, I have no shame to see the peacock, and I have no shame to see the bell." After saying this, he sighed, shook his head, and walked along the road.
Take a walk along the path in the forest.
He was strong on his feet and walked out of the forest in half an hour and set foot on the official road.
He was confused and didn't know where to go, so he simply chose a random direction and walked forward. He found a place to rest where he could meditate and practice, and then continued on his way.
Three months later, it was late autumn and the weather turned cold. Li Qianmo walked from the south of the Song Dynasty to the west of the Song Dynasty.
The western frontier of the Song Dynasty was very desolate, and you might not be able to find a house or town even hundreds of miles apart. The temperature difference between day and night here was extremely large, with the sun scorching hot at noon and the cold wind blowing at night.
Li Qianmo had been walking in the mortal world so that he could hide his identity. He was wandering out of boredom. After walking for three days in a row, he finally saw a small town ahead.
In this desolate place, the town was also very dilapidated. When he entered the town and inquired about it, he found out that it was the westernmost town in the Song Dynasty. Further to the west was a desolate desert with no human habitation.
It was noon, and Li Qianmo was drinking in a small wine shop in the town. It was dry and hot here, and drinking here was ten times more enjoyable than drinking anywhere else.
While he was in high spirits, Li Qianmo suddenly heard a commotion on the street. He turned around and saw a group of people gathered around to watch the fun. Four tall middle-aged men inside were punching and kicking someone.
"Old man, you dare to steal things and seek death..."
"Hit it hard, this old guy is very durable..."
The four people were beating and scolding each other in an arrogant manner.
Li Qianmo frowned when he saw this, and walked to the crowd in a few steps. He stretched out his hand to pull out the four middle-aged people and threw them aside. He saw an old monk huddled at the foot of the wall with his head in his hands. The thin monk on his body
The robe was in tatters and extremely dirty, and the color could no longer be distinguished. The pair of monk shoes under his feet were even more tattered. Four of the five toes were exposed, and there was a big hole in the sole.
The old monk felt that those people suddenly stopped and slowly lowered his hands to look.
Li Qianmo saw the appearance of this old monk now. He was extremely old, with a withered complexion, and his face was wrinkled. His sparse white beard seemed to be about to fall out at any time. He looked like he could not live for more than a few months.
"Where did you come from, you brat, you're looking for death!" The four middle-aged men were furious when they saw Li Qianmo suddenly coming to cause trouble. They yelled and punched Li Qianmo.
Li Qianmo took a step back, and a burst of true energy came out of his body, which acted on the big man's fist. The big man's fist immediately drew an arc, hit him back, and hit him right in the face.
"Ah" screamed, and the big man fell to the ground with his punch, blood spurting from his nose and mouth.
The other three people were originally ready to come up and take care of Li Qianmo, but when they saw the big man being injured in such a weird way, they were startled and stared at Li Qianmo in horror, not daring to step forward.
Li Qianmo glanced at them coldly, with a cold light in his eyes. The four of them trembled as if they had been shocked by electricity. Without saying a word, they turned away from the crowd and ran away.
The people watching the excitement thought there would be a good show, but they didn't expect it to end like this. They all shook their heads in disappointment and dispersed in twos and threes.
Li Qianmo turned around and came to the old monk. The old monk quickly stood up and said with a smile: "Thank you, Xiao Tanyue, for helping me." After saying that, he stretched out his hand and handed over half of the steamed bun and said with a smile, "A certain family has nothing to gain, so they only steal.
Here is a steamed bun, I will give you half of it as a thank you."
Li Qianmo glanced at the steamed bun in his hand and found that the snow-white steamed bun was stained with a lot of mud and had black fingerprints. How could he eat such a steamed bun?
He could only smile and shake his head: "Master, you're welcome. I'll treat you to something to eat. Don't eat steamed buns."
The old monk's eyes lit up when he heard this, he looked at Li Qianmo and said, "Okay, thank you, Xiao Tan Yue."
Li Qianmo took the old monk to a hotel and ordered some vegetarian dishes and a pot of tea. The old monk ate three bowls of rice, wiped his mouth with his dirty sleeves and said, "Thank you so much, Xiao Tan Yue, for your charity. I'm leaving first."
See you later." After saying that, he was about to get up and leave.
"Master, stay!" Li Qianmo quickly called him.
"What else is there for Xiao Tan Yue?" the old monk turned around and asked doubtfully.
Li Qianmo cupped his hands and said, "I've had a meal with the master, but I still don't know his name."
The old monk smiled and said: "What is the Dharma name? A certain family has not used it for many years and has long forgotten it. You can call it a foolish monk."
"Foolish monk?" Li Qianmo asked in confusion, "Stupid fool?"
"Exactly." The foolish monk smiled and nodded, "Everyone in the world is wise, but I am the only fool."
Li Qianmo was startled when he heard this, and then smiled and said: "Master is too modest. Although I met the master by chance, since we have such a fate, I would like to ask you some questions, and I hope you will give me your advice."
"I don't dare to give you advice." The foolish monk said seriously, "Tan Yue just asks, I will tell you everything I know."
"Does the master have anything to do with Jialan Temple?" Li Qianmo stared at the foolish monk with his eyes to prevent him from lying, and used the Emperor's Qi-gazing Technique to observe the subtle changes in his expression.
Monk Yu smiled and said calmly: "A certain family used to be a disciple of Jialan Temple, but later left Jialan Temple and became an ascetic."
"As expected." Li Qianmo murmured, "No wonder you were beaten by so many people without being injured at all. Although I can't see your cultivation level, but judging from the way you hide your aura, you should be a real master."
The foolish monk smiled lightly and shook his head: "The real person is a Taoist view."
"Oh? What do the Buddhists call a fourth-level master of Hedao?" Li Qianmo suddenly became interested. He knew very little about Buddhism, so he was very curious.
The foolish monk picked up the teapot and drank it clean. He sighed happily and wiped his mouth, saying: "In Buddhism, the masters of the first level of Hedao are called venerables, the masters of the second level of Hedao are called masters, the third level of Hedao are called Zen masters, and the masters of the fourth level of Hedao are called masters.
Bhikkhu, if you have perfected the four major aspects of unity, you will be a great bhikkhu."
"Oh..." Li Qianmo nodded and smiled. He thought it was interesting. After thinking about it, he asked, "Do Zhenjun and Dao Zun also have other names in Buddhism?"
"That's right, Yu." Monk Yu smiled and nodded, "The true king is called King Ming or Vajra in Buddhism. As for the Taoist Lord, we Buddhists call him Buddha."
"That's it." Li Qianmo heard this for the first time and said happily, "I didn't expect that the Buddhist name for cultivation is actually like this. I've really learned a lot. By the way, the master just said that he became an ascetic. What?
Called an ascetic?"
The foolish monk said: "Ascetics are monks who are not accepted by big temples or left in small temples. They are always walking outside, covering the sky and lying on the ground, eating the wind and drinking dew, tasting all the suffering in the world, and understanding the Buddhist principles from it."
Li Qianmo was startled when he heard this and said in confusion: "With Master's profound cultivation, these are not considered hardships."
The foolish monk shook his head: "Since a certain family wants to be an ascetic, it is natural to seal the whole body. When you are tired, you must sleep, when you are hungry, you must eat, and when you are thirsty, you must drink. Just like ordinary people."
"Ah!" Li Qianmo exclaimed in surprise when he heard this. After a moment, he shook his head and sighed, "Master, why are you doing this?"
"Why bother?" The foolish monk smiled and shook his head when he heard this, and said slowly, "It takes hard work to achieve enlightenment. If you don't experience all kinds of things in the world, sit empty and meditate, how can you realize the supreme truth?" He paused, and then said, "In fact, practicing Taoism
It is the same as practicing Buddhism. In the end, we are all pursuing the supreme truth and the existence of nothingness. However, before reaching that state, all sentient beings will gain powerful power due to practice. This power may guide them to find what they want.
The Taoism you want is true, but it may also make sentient beings indulge in it and lose their direction. You understand what a certain person means."
Li Qianmo was astonished when he heard what the foolish monk said. He carefully tasted what the foolish monk said. Suddenly he noticed that every word of his words was precious. He immediately felt enlightened. He quickly got up and bowed to the foolish monk and said: "Master is indeed a wise philosopher of the generation. What he said
The motto makes the younger generation enlightened, and the younger generation admires it!"
"Zhizhe is a bastard!" Upon hearing this, the foolish monk suddenly cursed angrily, turned around and left.
When Li Qianmo heard this, he was stunned on the spot. He had no idea that this eminent monk had such a weird temperament. He turned his head like a book, which really made him feel baffled.
