209. Accident

Qin Rongjun returned home from the academy today. He originally wanted to discuss something with his father, but when he arrived outside, he was heavily guarded.

After coming in, he stood outside the door. The more he listened, the more suffocating he became.

He never imagined that his father had done such a disgraceful thing.

The truth behind his aunt's death turns out to be this.

After coming in, he did not go to see Mr. Qin, nor did he directly plead with Gu Qingyuan.

For so many years, from the day he was enlightened to study until now, he considers himself to be a person who cares about nourishing his energy and his manners. Never before in this moment has he wanted to beat someone up so much.

His father did things that ordinary people would never imagine.

If you forget about the etiquette and integrity of a scholar and do something wrong, you will neither be able to clean up your tail nor be meticulous.

After the incident was exposed, he did not have the courage to take responsibility and actually used his sister to find a way out of his life.

The scholar has no character at all.

In his tears, his father's majesty completely collapsed.

He slowly made a gentleman's salute to Gu Qingyuan, and then stood up after a long while.

"Cousin, it's not worth it to touch your hands for such a person. You should go back to Kyoto and live a good life."

"Leave him to me. Although I don't have much ability, I will help you keep an eye on him and won't let him escape."

He held his heart, his dark eyes looked at Gu Qingyuan painfully, and then fell on the man beside her.

There was one sentence he never said.

After all, he was still a step late.

Qin Rongjun took a deep breath, "I didn't say this just to plead for him."

He looked at the void in the room and said, "In a few days, as his son, he will resign as the head of the academy and will take good care of him."

Qin Rongjun's intention was very clear. He would never let Mr. Qin come out again for the rest of his life, let alone let him have contact with others.

For people like Mr. Qin, having to be locked up in a courtyard for the rest of his life is simply more uncomfortable than death.

Gu Qingyuan did not expect that Qin Rongjun did not know these past events, and was even more shocked that he actually wanted to resign as the head of the academy.

He is so young and able to achieve the position of the Academy Headmaster. His talent, learning and character must be recognized by everyone.

"Cousin, I can leave it to you. You don't need to resign as the mountain chief. It's not easy to get to this point. Don't give up easily."

It was Mr. Qin who did this, and she would not blame Qin Rongjun.

Qin Rongjun refused.

"I can't teach so many students now." He blinked slowly and smiled at Gu Qingyuan, "Those who follow the teacher can teach and learn and solve their doubts."

"And now, my heart is full of questions that I can't get answers to."

His family, which he has always been proud of, has done so many shameless things. How can he justly reprimand the students in the academy in the future?

It's better to let him spend some time to find the answer.

Moreover, he had some doubts about whether there was some ulterior deal behind his appointment as the mountain chief.

Master Qin stood aside and was stunned. The savior he thought was not a savior, but pushed him down into another fire pit, and he jumped up.

"Jun'er, what do you mean? I am your father. What exactly did you say?"

Qin Rongjun looked at Mr. Qin and said, "It is my own son who is willing to shamelessly ask my cousin for you."

"Otherwise, what does the life and death of outsiders have to do with me?"

"I hope my father can understand that people like my father are really not suitable to live in front of others. My son is afraid that you will destroy the Qin family in the future."

He bowed to Gu Qingyuan again, "Cousin, I won't say anything more. The Qin family will be your backing from now on."

He is the only son of Mr. Qin and the eldest grandson. He will inherit the clan in the future.

Now, it's just ahead of schedule.

"Father, from now on you can cultivate yourself well in the yard, don't have to work hard, and just enjoy your old age. Leave the other things to your son."

After he finished speaking, he shouted several times outside, "Here comes someone."

Mr. Qin only thought he was joking, but he didn't expect that he actually called someone in.

"Father is sick. Please help him out. Don't go back to the main courtyard. Go to the guest courtyard to the south."

This gave him no chance to resist.

The people who came were the boys who were following Qin Rongjun. They stepped forward one from the left and the other to take him away.

"You are a traitor, you are a traitor, how dare you do this to me. You are disobedient and unfilial."

Mr. Qin was heartbroken and struggled desperately, "How dare you, one by one, treat your elders like this."

"How come the Qin family has such an unfilial son like you?"

Qin Rongjun stood there steadily without even frowning.

"Father, it's not that your son is unfilial, it's that you are unfilial."

Mr. Qin was dragged down, and when he got outside, he was still cursing.

He scolded Qin Rongjun for being unfilial.

Qin Rongjun stood there, listening to Mr. Qin's incoherent curses, and looked at Gu Qingyuan apologetically.

"I'm sorry. What happened in the past has happened and is irreversible. I don't know what to say."

"But from now on, you have to live well."

Gu Qingyuan opened her mouth, then closed it, and could only nod.

A son put his father under house arrest and took away his power to run the family.

This is against human ethics. If something happens one day, not to mention being the leader of a mountain, even the identity of a scholar will be taken away.

It was clear that Mr. Qin was the one who made the mistake. In the past, the Qin family helped him take care of the problem, and now Qin Rongjun helps him deal with the aftermath.

Mr. Qin revealed too much information. Her biological father was not Duke Chengen. He was someone else.

On the boat back to Beijing, Gu Qingyuan leaned on the railing of the bow, holding Qin's letter in her hand, and looked at Pei Jinting suspiciously.

"Did something go wrong? Why would mother say that Duke Cheng'en was the one who ruined her innocence?"

Pei Jinting pressed her elbow on the railing and leaned against her side, "I told you, but you just don't listen. You must be separated from me whether you die or alive."

His voice rose and his posture was languid.

Gu Qingyuan glanced at him sideways. From the day Master Qin told the truth, he had tricked him too many times with this.

Even though the poison in her body had faded, he still wouldn't let her go.

Especially after Shuang Wu found out that he sneaked into her boudoir at night, she became even more unscrupulous.

Pei Jinting held Gu Qingyuan in her arms, "How about we get married again when we return to Kyoto?"

Gu Qingyuan held his arm and looked at the endless river.

Just as Pei Jinting was about to speak, he saw He Zheng standing not far away and trotting over. When he saw Gu Qingyuan, he didn't come to report.

Gu Qingyuan also saw it. She pushed his arm and said, "He Zheng is looking for you, go ahead."

There must be something that he doesn't want her to know.

Maybe it's official business.

Pei Jinting frowned, what's the matter, so sneaky.

He squeezed her hand and said with a smile, "Don't even try to escape. You can't escape."

Walking into the boat, He Zheng glanced at the bow, indicating that what he wanted to report could not be said here.

Pei Jinting looked at him impatiently and went to the house.

"Sir, there is a letter from the capital, saying that Duke Zhen Guo was imprisoned for collaborating with the enemy."
