This potions lesson ended with eleven points deducted from Gryffindor and two students injured.
Early the next morning, Harry finally plucked up the courage to come to the Slytherin table and excitedly told Lin An how surprised he was at receiving Hagrid's invitation yesterday, and how clingy and drooling the black dog Fang was.
The smell...
Finally, he gave Lin An two pieces of rock cake:
"It's so hard that it almost broke my teeth, but Hagrid likes it very much." and highly recommends it.
On the long Slytherin table, people kept looking at him, and it was hard to tell whether the look was good or bad.
Harry felt a little uncomfortable.
Draco, who was sitting next to Lin An, snorted coldly and stared at the two rock cakes with a contemptuous expression——
"Draco."
Lin An put down the spoon.
What she had this morning was salty broth, vegetable salad and parsley mashed potatoes, which tasted pretty good.
So much so that her voice at the moment was gentle: "Can you take everyone to the classroom first?"
Draco's words that were about to leave his mouth stopped abruptly.
Then, he stood up in a somewhat rough manner (the stool moved and made a sound), but still silently led the freshmen away.
Ron watched from the side and muttered: "It's like a ruthless army, ruling exclusively."
Then, he fell silent again under Lin An's eyes.
Harry didn't notice this. He only breathed a sigh of relief when people left, and then he sat down excitedly on a chair nearby and vividly described to Lin An the Daily Prophet he found on Hagrid's desk yesterday.
We talked about the illegal break-in at Gringotts above.
He said with a hint of mystery: "Lin an, I may have forgotten to tell you that the day Hagrid and I went to Diagon Alley, he took something from Gringotts..."
Lin An knew that this was about the magic stone.
But she did not express an opinion on this matter. She just listened quietly to Harry's analysis, then put down her fork and asked:
"Harry, do you have any good friends in Gryffindor?"
As he said that, he looked at Ron again: "I know Ron is. You two are always inseparable."
Harry hesitated for a while: "Oh, maybe Hermione, you know, she knows so much..."
"Is there anyone else?"
"No." Harry didn't understand why she mentioned this matter. At this moment, he still focused on Gringotts:
"That Gringotts thing..."
"Harry."
Lin An interrupted him: "I remember you and Neville are in the same dormitory."
That poor silly kid, Lin An just asked a few gentle questions, and then he told him everything.
Including his grandmother's strict control over him, and because he was suspected of being a squib when he was a child, so he was thrown into the lake by his uncle...
Just a little stuttering.
He even apologized sincerely for not packing his notes properly.
But when he was lying in the infirmary, moaning and crying because of the severe pain all over his body, there was no one around him to accompany him.
Except Lin An.
Even Seamus, who was injured with him, drank the potion and left quickly because his injury was minor.
Neville's feet were severely corroded, and a lot of potions were splashed on his body and face, so after drinking the potion, he spent the night in the infirmary, waiting for the wounds to grow.
"After class that day, I accompanied Neville to the infirmary. He couldn't get up or walk at night, so Slytherin students went there to deliver food."
"This morning, I noticed that he came to the Gryffindor table to eat alone first."
"Harry, it's been a few days since school started, and you've known each other on the train. But do you hate him so much? That I haven't even heard a single word of greeting from you."
Harry blushed instantly.
He pushed up his glasses helplessly, and then stammered: "I... I'm sorry, I... I didn't expect it. But the potion is very effective, isn't it? I heard Seamus say in the evening that his injury was fine immediately.
"
But as he spoke, he slowly stopped.
Lin An looked at him intently, with a gentle expression and a gentle tone.
"Harry, I know that the wizarding world is very interesting and allows you to continue exploring and novelty every day."
"But the first thing that impressed me about you was the three pennies enclosed with the letter."
"It is said at Hogwarts that Slytherin students are the coldest and most unscrupulous."
"So, can your enthusiasm really warm the people around you?"
The silver fork made contact with the dinner plate, making a slight "click" sound, and Lin An stood up.
Harry suddenly realized that her expression was also tainted with a bit of Slytherin's coldness.
After looking through the original book, I only found out that Neville cried terribly in pain and was immediately sent to the infirmary.
