Chapter Thirty-Two

It was Sanbao who reminded him in time that the person in front of him should be a laborer who had escaped from inside. Hearing Sanbao's shout, he actually stopped. Sanbao whispered: "Squat down quickly, there are landmines here."

As soon as the worker squatted down, the light of the searchlight flashed in front of the two of them, and Sanbao then told him: "Don't move, I will pick you up."

Sanbao quickly stabbed him with his bayonet. He gently put the discharged thunder aside, and soon came to the man's side. "Follow me!" Sanbao turned around and said.

Immediately, the two of them finally climbed out of the minefield one after the other. Sanbao had not forgotten his two mines.

Hiding by the ditch, the two couldn't help but stop and breathe for a while. The man said to Sanbao gratefully: "Brother, thank you."

"Nothing," Sanbao asked, "Were you captured by the Japanese to repair the airport?"

"Yes." The man replied: "Not only are we repairing the airport, but we are also loading and unloading gasoline and bombs for the Japanese every day. The little Japanese only give us two corn baskets a day. I really can't stand it anymore."

The man then asked: "What do you do? Your accent doesn't sound like a local, so why are you here?"

"I am the Eighth Route Army." Sanbao said. He suddenly remembered and asked, "Then you are very familiar with it?"

"I've been in there for a month, so I'm fairly familiar with it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to escape," the man replied.

"I saved your life, you have to express your gratitude." Sanbao had an idea.

The man couldn't help but be stunned. He had never heard of the Eighth Route Army, but he knew about the government troops. He understood that those people would not save him in vain, so he said: "I am just a farmer."

"I'm not asking for payment from you." Sanbao said immediately, "I just want you to follow me to the army and explain the situation clearly."

"You want to attack the Japanese airport?" The man said happily: "Then you have to rescue the villagers who were captured by the Japanese!"

"That's natural." Sanbao said, "What do you call it?"

"My name is Dabao."

Sanbao couldn't help but smile, "Why are you laughing?" Dabao asked strangely.

"My name is Sanbao." Sanbao replied with a smile.

"It can't be true, right?" Dabao was also surprised.

"Okay, let's go, it won't be easy to do it when it gets daylight." Sanbao said and picked up the two landmines.

At dawn, the two finally climbed up a mountain in the distance and were out of danger. The exhausted two fell to the ground. Sanbao was exhausted from the day and night, and he was a little confused when he fell to the ground.

At this moment, he suddenly felt something strange around him. Before he could react, his shoulders had been pressed. Sanbao reacted quickly. He grabbed the person's arm and pulled him. He sat up suddenly and rushed towards the person.

The man fell to the ground, and he quickly pulled out the dagger with his right hand and wanted to stab the person...

Fortunately, Sanbao's confused eyes saw the Eighth Route Army uniform the other party was wearing. He stopped immediately, but was immediately jumped on by several people and pinned to the ground.

Sanbao immediately shouted: "Don't get me wrong, I am the Eighth Route Army."

Hearing his cry, someone ordered: "Let him get up."

Although the people who restrained Sanbao let him go, they were still wary of him. His guns, daggers, and two landmines were all taken away.

Sanbao patted the dirt on his body and said, "Give it back to me quickly. I got these from the devils."

"Are you really the Eighth Route Army?" The man who just ordered to let go stepped forward and asked.

"This is still false!" Sanbao replied angrily.

"You are from that army, why are you here?" the man asked.

"You are from that army, why are you here?" Sanbao, young and energetic, immediately asked.
