Chapter 45: Changing Guns

As soon as the battle ended, platoon leader Chen Zhenhai searched for the Three Treasures on the battlefield. The Three Treasures had performed well in the last few battles. He was eager to know what achievements the Three Treasures had made this time or what good things they had captured.

However, this time, Chen Zhenhai was a little disappointed. There was no change in Sanbao, except for the addition of a bayonet on his waist. But when he got closer, Chen Zhenhai noticed it. He couldn't help being startled and asked immediately: "Sanbao, where is your machine gun?"

"Isn't that right?" Sanbao replied, holding up the Czech light machine gun in his hand.

"I'm asking you what's wrong?" Chen Zhenhai asked anxiously.

"That gun is not easy to use at all, it is difficult to hold, and it takes a lot of time to load the bullet, and the gun frame is always wobbly." Sanbao said and then replied with satisfaction: "It is not as good as this one, the magazine is directly pressed on

, and able to charge with confidence."

"You didn't capture this." Chen Zhenhai was a little anxious. Before Sanbao could answer the most important question, he immediately asked: "Where is your gun?"

"Switched, I switched with a machine gunner." Sanbao replied happily.

"You just changed it?" Chen Zhenhai couldn't do anything about Sanbao. He meant that Sanbao was too undisciplined and changed his gun without permission from his superiors. But Sanbao's next answer made him feel even more distressed.

"Oh no, the machine gunner was reluctant at first." Sanbao replied, "I used my machine gun and all the bullets before he exchanged it with me."

When Chen Zhenhai heard this, he knew that Sanbao had suffered a loss. He immediately took his magazine from Sanbao. Sanbao said embarrassedly: "He gave me four magazines, but only one had bullets."

"Even this bullet is not enough!" Chen Zhenhai replied distressedly. He knew how much ammunition Sanbao had on him. It was hundreds of bullets. He continued: "Also, where did you find this bullet?"

"Aren't I looking for it? There are already quite a few." Sanbao replied, shaking the bullet box he took off from the Japs.

"The two bullets are different." Chen Zhenhai said angrily.

"What's the difference?" Sanbao didn't understand.

"The Japanese one is 6.5 millimeters, and the Czech one is 7.92 millimeters. Do you think it can be the same?" Chen Zhenhai said.

"It's nothing, I can just find someone to exchange for it." Sanbao understood a little bit, but still replied nonchalantly.

"Just wait for the company commander to approve you." Chen Zhenhai said: "This time you let him catch the tail."

While the two were talking, Su Yuan was also walking over. Sanbao immediately stepped forward and said proactively: "Company Commander, I changed the gun."

"Czech style, not bad. This gun is easy to operate and can be used well with a little training. You have a good sense." Su Yuan's words made Chen Zhenhai stunned.

"But it's time to change the barrel of the gun. I'll teach you how to replace it later." Su Yuan continued.

"Thank you, company commander." Sanbao responded happily.

"What's the result today?" Su Yuan asked next.

"I caught up a little late, and it was difficult to hold the bullet without pressing the crooked handle, so I rushed forward with a bayonet, and I just used the bayonet to throw out and stab a Japanese to death." Sanbao said regretfully.

"It's pretty good. Our entire battalion eliminated more than a hundred Japanese in this battle." Su Yuan nodded and said, "Continue to work hard in the future." Su Yuan said and left, which made Chen Zhenhai look a little wide-eyed.
