Chapter 3 The old donkey

As soon as the swordsmanship performance in Zhenhu Mountain ended, Lin Zhenbei was arranged by the old county magistrate to become his apprentice.

The sword cultivator on the school grounds sat upright in the north position. As the butler shouted "I bow to the ancestor," Lin Zhenbei knelt down and kowtowed respectfully. He placed his hands on top of each other on his forehead, close to the ground.

"Second obeisance to Master". Lin Zhenbei, a young boy with a free-spirited nature, was extremely respectful of the repeated actions.

"Tea". With the last shout, Lin Zhenbei served the prepared tea: "Old Taoist... Master, drink tea!" Lin Zhenbei, who almost didn't change his mind, blushed, but fortunately the Taoist didn't pursue it.

"I will give you a meeting gift, Master." The Taoist put his hand into his chest and took out a leaf.

"This is the old elm leaf from the Zhenhu Mountain Courtyard. It has survived for thousands of years. Today I am giving you the spirit leaves of the ancestral tree. You should keep them carefully." Jian Xiu held out the green leaves with both hands.

The leaves are not big, just like the elm leaves in the yamen. Lin Zhenbei slandered in his heart: "Are you so poor that you can't even afford a decent gift?" But on the surface, he still said respectfully: "Thank you, Master, for the gift."

.

He is truly a kind father and a filial disciple.

Soon the crowd dispersed, and Xu Qingmu was ready to go back. But the skinny donkey brought by Jian Xiu followed Xu Qingmu life and death, and could not be driven away. The young man had no choice but to explain to Jian Xiu. Jian Xiu was generous and readily agreed to the young man's request.

, I just told him to take good care of him. The old man suffered a lot from him along the way.

After watching the apprenticeship ceremony and coming back with someone to eat, Xu Qingmu touched his face in confusion. To make matters worse.

The old beggar said that the donkey's eyesight was the same as that of an old yellow dog. He was blind when he opened his eyes, seemed to be resentful, and had a cloudy face.

On the way back home, a young woman with a sword embroidered on her sleeves happened to meet the boy. The woman had a short sword hanging on her back. She was definitely not a local.

"What a cute little brother. Sister, touch me." Yan Yan smiled, cute and playful. He possessed Xu Qingmu and teased her, and even squeezed his chest two and a half, ready to cry out. The young man was speechless for a moment, and the words described in the book flashed in his mind.

"The eyebrows are as green as the willows, and the peach blossoms are as red as the faces."

The old beggar snapped his fingers, and the young man came to his senses, but his mind went blank.

"Is this donkey for sale?" The seductive voice came again.

Without waiting for the old beggar to make any move, the young man took a step back, cupped his fists and said, "I'm sorry, girl, I'm entrusted by someone, but I won't sell this donkey."

After saying that, he took the donkey and left. Looking back, he didn't forget to take a few more glances. He praised in his heart, "Shao Hua is a good young man in Rongsu, and the jade has buds in spring and double peaks."

The old beggar was sure that the last two eyes were definitely not hallucinations.

--------------------------

As evening approached, a fortune teller came to the town.

In this small town of Funiu, this is big news. How many men sneer at it, but women love to hear it. Who doesn’t want to find an honest reason to laugh at a handsome man?

The little Taoist priest has red lips and white teeth, and wears a Taoist crown of Pisces. One black and one white are intertwined with yin and yang, which is very mysterious. As soon as the fortune-telling stall opened, the stall was crowded with women, mostly young women, who came to tell their fortunes.

The little Taoist priest cleared his throat and raised his voice: "Today is not about seeing a doctor, but only seeing a doctor. If there is a recent death at home, please take a step forward!"

Curses spread everywhere, and soon the front door was empty.

The Taoist closed his eyes and rested his mind. He muttered something: "Every day is new, every month is new, new people, new things, new court. Look forward to it every year, look forward to it every year, look forward to Chang'an and look forward to my hometown..."

After a while, a little yellow bird with a red beak flew back and picked up a piece of underwear in its mouth. The little Taoist priest yelled: "You silly bird. You can hold your hair or gloves as you like. If it doesn't work, you can hold a sock in your mouth."

He* held the underwear in his mouth... Well, don't tell me it smells good. No matter what, it's up to you, let's get started!"

The little Taoist priest shook his head and shook his bamboo stick wildly, not looking like an expert at all.

When a lotus fell to the ground, the little Taoist hurriedly stepped on it and looked around like a thief. Seeing that no one was watching, he quickly picked it up and hid it in his sleeve. He cursed and shouted: "Toad, toad, sit down and watch the sky and marry a swan. The swan is beautiful."

Beauty, future generations have to kick their legs..."

----------------------------

Xu Qingmu tied the old donkey in front of the yard and fed him some water and hay for the old scalper. The old scalper who usually slept in the cowshed felt as if he had seen a ghost when he saw the old donkey. He struggled and ran to the old yellow dog's den, fighting for his life.

He couldn't be pulled out. Seeing that it was safe, Xu Qingmu stopped forcing him. Only the old donkey was left to occupy the stable.

Later, Lin Zhenbei came over to chat and said that the master was planning to take him back to Zhenhu Mountain in three days. Lin Zhenbei was a little reluctant to leave, and so was Xu Qingmu.

Lin Zhenbei took out the elm leaf given by the old man at noon and gave it to Xu Qingmu. The young man wanted to refuse, but the two of them had grown up wearing the same pants for more than ten years, so he had to give up and carefully put it away on his chest. Xu Qingmu said:

"I always write letters when I get there, and come back when I feel wronged." Lin Zhenbei was moved and put his arms around his good brother's shoulders.

"I won't tell Zhenhu Mountain about the time you held an old scalper and drank milk when you were seven years old." Xu Qingmu looked serious.

"See if I don't kill you! The monkey steals the peach!"

It wasn't until very late that Lin Zhenbei went back to his room next door to sleep.

Xu Qingmu also washed up and went to bed to rest.

At one o'clock in the night, a bright bolt of lightning struck, and its target was Xu Qingmu's house. But the old donkey suddenly brayed, and most of the lightning was pulled over and struck hard on the old donkey. He died on the spot with the boy in his mouth.

Got fodder. Part of the residual power still hit the young man lying on the bed. However, it was quietly absorbed by the elm leaves on the chest.

Without the old donkey and the elm leaves, this young man who had just turned twelve would not have survived tonight!

The little Taoist priest had a sad face and was still squatting on the spot. It wasn't that he wasn't sleepy, but he didn't dare to sleep. After seeing the lightning, he held his head in his hands and muttered: "Don't hit your face, don't hit your head, don't hit your butt...

..”

"Then I'll slap you for your dishonest mouth!" With a soft shout, the snow-white sword energy floated to him instantly, and the Taoist was thrown away.

After a while, the little Taoist priest hurriedly got up: "Senior Song, Jianxian Song, Grandpa Song, please don't blame me for this. It's the tiger sword cultivator from Zhenhu Mountain."

Seeing that the old beggar was about to raise his hand again, the little Taoist priest quickly begged for mercy.

"Give me a reason, otherwise I will let you die directly under the throne of your Taoist ancestor." The old beggar put down the wooden stick in his hand that had been chasing the old yellow dog all the time.

A few days ago, the old beggar played a game of chess with the Taoist priest named "Cao Dan". The old beggar finally won by one horse, so the young Taoist reluctantly handed over the Pisces Taoist crown on his head. This Taoist crown was given to him by the Taoist ancestors.

Coming-of-age ceremony, named Qingming Pisces Crown.

But the old beggar casually returned the hat which was extremely precious in the eyes of the Taoist: "Exchange one horse for another, and use your secret skills of Shangyang Palace to block a natural disaster for Xu Qingmu."

"Just once? If you force Lin Zhenbei's literary fortune and Wang Xiaomazi's martial fortune onto that young man, you will have to fend off two catastrophes."

"No need for you to worry, I only need it once."

So the little Taoist found the Zhenhushan sword cultivator who was going to the city and asked him to take the horse with him, and someone would take over after he entered the city.

But how did the strong white horse turn into an old donkey?

The little Taoist priest had a sad face and continued to explain to the old beggar:

"Everything was going well at first, but who would have thought that this swordsman became lustful in the middle of the journey. In order to spend a spring night at the Yingchun Tower, he sold his white horse and replaced it with an old donkey. Who do you think I should talk to?" The Taoist crowd was full of people.

Face aggrieved.

"Cao Dan, Cao Dan, you really didn't name yourself for nothing, you are so 'f---ed'," the old beggar mocked.

Cao Dan had a wry smile on his face.

The stakes in this game are quite high.

He, Cao Dan, blocked the future fate of Shangyang Palace, and the old beggar blocked the life of Zhijie Sword Cultivator.

"People from Jianqi Pavilion also came to the town today. Is this the news that you Shangyang Palace secretly revealed?" the old beggar asked again.

"Grandpa, we are now grasshoppers on the same rope!" The little Taoist priest stood up angrily. He was too bullying!

"That makes sense. But the pair of underwear you took has to be sent back. That was a gift from me."

The little Taoist priest desperately threw out the bamboo stick he was testing today. There was only one word on it:

"good".
