A few words from my heart·written in two million words
There is another chapter after tonight. Most of my inspiration comes at night, so updates are getting later and later.
In fact, it was Xiao Douya who came to play with me during the holidays. He spent the whole day trying to spend time with the baby, hehe.
The monthly updates were suspended for three days in April, so I didn’t ask for votes. I didn’t expect that the ranking didn’t drop too low. Thank you readers for your support.
Trying to update in May!
Well, when the baby goes back to school. (In order to write the book Abyss and prepare the next book, I retreated alone at the beach.)
In addition, this book has over two million words!
Recently, I have entered a relatively bottleneck state, and clippings and deletions often occur. For example, in yesterday's 6,000-word chapter of "Speaking of Doctrine", some risky plots were deleted.
We are a novel, so just make some appropriate complaints. There is no need to be more serious. Internet writing does not have this environment for the time being.
This kind of novel without an upgrade system has to formulate a main contradiction and multiple secondary contradictions at each stage. When the contradictions cannot be balanced, it is easy for the plot to feel detached, which makes me very painful.
This is a path that few people have tried. I am very satisfied with being able to write two million words stably.
The next step is to work hard towards the high completion of this story!
I like to play with creation, and I also like to try different writing styles, so many old readers of my books will feel that this guy's style is different in every book.
This is actually an encouragement, but it is not conducive to commercialization.
Last year and this year, I have been thinking about my future development path and made detailed plans.
From now on, I will walk on two legs, focusing on the two markets of science fiction and fairy tales. I will write serious dramas in the science fiction genre, and light comedies in the fairy tale genre.
In view of the fact that the current science fiction market has not yet been fully developed, the book "Walking Alone in the Abyss" will be my first pure science fiction attempt (there is no need to discuss the topic of softness and hardness, we are pursuing this creative concept);
My plan is to start the space opera with "Alone in the Abyss", followed by two "The Game of Faia" and "The Abyss in Progress" (not the title of the book), which will tell the story of the earth before it is forcibly integrated into the human civilization of the Milky Way Galaxy.
In the middle and last three stages, there are two pure space operas before and after, and the middle one is science fiction that extends the reality of the earth. This is the most difficult one.
Therefore, I must tell readers a few questions.
First, the plot volume of the book Abyss is about three million words, which I have mentioned repeatedly.
Because this is the first work for this series, I have not fully conceived it in many places. (I was used to imagining fairy tale fantasy literature, and then turned to imagining space operas, which put great pressure on myself). I will try my best to summarize and
keep learning.
Second, the plot will not involve high dimensions, and Faya's game will officially begin.
This is not a spoiler, but I must explain to everyone that Faya's game is the main content of my second science fiction. The high-dimensional world cannot be directly described, it is a pseudo-sci-fi proposition. Like jumps, space stations,
Concepts such as Dyson spheres, giant mechas, strange material bombs, genetic biological locks, genetic modification fusion, dimensionality enhancement, etc. are all science fiction to a certain extent.
We should not set any standards, as setting standards will indirectly affect the creation of authors who later take this path.
The novel itself has a pursuit - the story is interesting and readers will like it.
Third, there is the issue of female characters.
Many readers have read my senior brother and the human immortal. (The ending of the human immortal’s Suqing is rather tragic. I have been reluctant to add a side story to her. It is also a kind of literary youth fighting against the market. Later, the human immortal
Before the anime comes out, I will make up for her).
Then when you look into the abyss, you will feel a sense of dislocation.
It's very simple, because the essence of Xianxia is an ancient "martial arts drama", and male readers' reading expectations lie in dependent female characters, like the lovely Ling'e, who is all-rounded and simple. This kind of character is very easy to like, because they all
It revolves around the male protagonist.
But Abyss is not. In science fiction, first of all, there cannot be direct description of "sexual hegemony", because the background of science fiction determines that we should downplay the difference between men and women and promote equality between men and women (note that it is equality and not enchantment), so
I shaped some of my own destiny for the character, so the male protagonist also became a bit "mistressed". This is also a kind of respect for the science fiction background.
Of course I know what the market likes.
There is another thing that I must tell you in advance.
After finishing the book Abyss, I am going to write a fairy tale book that is in line with the public tone (the same type as my senior brother, the second non-steady one, the tags are: Xian Xia Big World, Fairy Sect Development, Moderately Funny, Multiple Female Characters
, a time-traveling male protagonist, moderate innovation in writing).
One reason is to make money. The platform only recognizes the economic benefits of an author and does not appreciate the feelings of a creator. All this is nonsense.
The second reason is that everyone has seen the exposure and traffic of the book "Abyss".
I have to use my next book of Xianxia to achieve results (trying to be better than my stable brother from three or four years ago), so that I can get the follow-up resources from the platform, and then I can talk to the platform to support my space opera series, so that the platform can
Be assured of investment sources.
The third reason is that there is a problem of reader acceptance.
We need to use "The Abyss" to open up this market and make readers accept this type of space opera and accept the "no system" and "no upgrade" plot mode.
The lack of fun in this plot mode is something I need to think about and work hard to solve next.
What is the purpose of my book?
First, to earn royalties to support my family, and second, to let more readers see my work.
In an ideal world, those who dare to try and eat crabs will be rewarded;
But the reality is that you must prove your worth in order to get subsequent investment and attention.
To put it bluntly, I want to "try to write a space opera online" and spend the next three years working on the entire series with more than 10 million words to try the results.
A reader teased me and said, "You are a fairy because of your talent, and science fiction is your ideal." What I actually want to correct is, "Xianxia is your ideal, and science fiction is your hobby."
Promoting the traditional culture of our nation, using fairy novels to carry the thoughts of hundreds of schools of thought, and disseminating them on a larger stage, this is my ideal; science fiction is the road to a larger stage, and an attempt at a new category of online literature, this
It's a hobby.
Ideals should be realized step by step, and hobbies should be rolled up and pursued as soon as the brain gets hot.
Forget it, you should continue to work hard in your life at the age of thirty, and strive for another ten years to see how you fare.
The story of the next book has been determined. After finishing "The Abyss", I will have one and a half years to write Xianxia. I will try my best to write more than 4 million words of Xianxia that meets the taste of the public. I will make more money and accumulate more.
We will use the resources of the platform, and then use the accumulation of the book "The Abyss", "Faya's Game" and "The Progress of the Abyss" (not the title of the book, just the content) to rush into the living space of space opera in online literature.
One solution to the homogeneity and low quality of online articles is to develop new themes and use the income from creation to attract an influx of author groups.
This matter was originally done by the platform, but under the influence of big data, the platform pays more attention to generating existing income from one resource. This is understandable and is also a small market-oriented problem.
This is just a small complaint. It has nothing to do with me. I'm just writing the stories I like. I don't have any noble feelings. I'm just a lazy vulgar person at heart.
Hehe, I’ve been nagging you a lot today.
In fact, it is the pressure I have been under all the time. I cannot express my criticisms. If I want to be among the readers, it is difficult to find readers to complain about these things.
The next chapter will still be updated very late. Forget it, the next chapter will be updated tomorrow morning. Let’s take a look at it tomorrow~ Let’s count today’s update.
