When Zhang Ximeng came back from Bailudong Academy, the expected fierce quarrel did not happen. On the contrary, Zhang Ximeng took the academic rules of Bailudong Academy to his study room and studied them painstakingly. This greatly shocked Gao Qi, Xu Bi and others.
I am puzzled by all the previous statements made by Prime Minister Zhang that have promoted the roots of Neo-Confucianism. Why did I go to Bailudong Academy and see no one, and then my appearance changed?
Could it be said that there is Zhu Xi's soul in Bailu Cave, and the two people fought against each other hundreds of years ago, and Zhang Xiang failed?
No!
We can't admit defeat!
Gao Qi wanted to rush in, but Sun Yan stopped him immediately.
"I said you should be patient and wait patiently, keeping your heart in your stomach."
Gao Qi gritted his teeth and said angrily: "How can I rest assured about such a big matter, a dispute over knowledge? Aren't you afraid if Neo-Confucianism comes back from the dead?"
Afraid? Afraid of what?" Sun Yan chuckled and pointed at the teapot on the table, "I am just a humble tea set used to contain Zhang Xianggong's fragrant thoughts, so what should I be afraid of?
"You! You are an unintentional person!" Gao Qi yelled angrily, but Sun Yan accepted it calmly and ignored it. You guys don't understand Zhang Ximeng, so you really think he will have some resonance with Zhu Xi.
ah?
It seems that he can probably take advantage of Zhu Xi. The old man has been dead for so many years, and he is still being used as a tool. How pitiful!
Prime Minister Zhang is also capable of doing this, but he doesn't know how to respect the old and care for the young!
Sun Yan cursed secretly.
Zhang Ximeng naturally didn't mind. You scholars can touch Zhu Xi's head, but I can't?
Not only did I want to touch him, I also wanted to touch him bald.
Who was Zhu Xi?
First of all, he is probably a person who is very good at reading. After all, if he is not good enough, he will not be able to pass the Jinshi examination at the age of nineteen!
But if you want to say that Zhu Xi is a top academic master, it is a bit reluctant. Of course, as long as he can pass the Jinshi examination, he should be considered the academic master among the academic masters. But among these people, it still depends on who is more domineering!
Zhu Xi is the 90th in the fifth class, and he was born with the same Jinshi.
They say they are the same as Jinshi, but they are actually different.
When Zhu Xi first entered the officialdom, he only served as the county chief registrar, and his starting point was not high...
He belongs to the kind of embarrassing situation that blends into the circle of scholar-bureaucrats, but is outside the Fifth Ring Road.
If nothing else, Zhu Xi was just an ordinary scholar who had been working as a county magistrate and a magistrate. He had done nothing in his life and had no other achievements except leaving some money and property for his family.
But Zhu Xi soon found his way. He followed the orthodox path and became a non-commissioned officer, but he could not govern the country and bring peace to the world.
Let's start with scholarship. Zhu Xi established a school in the county, and then he became a disciple of Li Dong and became a serious successor of Ercheng Neo-Confucianism.
Note that this identity is really important. Although Zhu Xi did not get top-notch academic qualifications, he was very good at choosing a disciple.
After that, Zhu Xi made full use of his strengths and avoided his weaknesses. If he couldn't do well in the officialdom, he would become a scholar. To a certain extent, Zhu Xi was not a genius, but he was good at reading and had the ability to summarize.
He is not the kind of genius that Su Shi was, a man with a spoon in his hand chasing after his buttocks to feed him.
However, as he continued to read, Zhu Xi's knowledge became increasingly sophisticated. He began to summarize the two Cheng's studies, introduce new ones, write books, open schools, give lectures and teach.
So much so that he became a generation of great scholars...
They are all disciples. As long as you find the true intention of Master Kong, you can stop being so naive. If you think so, you will be deceived.
Master Zhu Xi was not only good at reading, writing and lecturing, he was also able to do business...Zhu Xi once founded Shecang. To put it bluntly, he imitated Wang Anshi's green crop method. He borrowed grain and rice from the people and charged interest. Master Zhu first established it in Changping
The warehouse borrowed 600 shi of rice. After more than ten years of operation, the grain storage in the warehouse reached 3100 shi. It was a double gain in fame and fortune!
The most interesting thing is that Zhu Xi summarized the differences between his Shecang Law and the Green Crop Law, saying that one was in the countryside, the other was in the state capital, one was run by the people, and the other was run by the government.
In other words, the Qingmiao Law was lent by the imperial court to the people in prefectures and counties, while the Shecang Law was lent by the gentry and gentlemen to the people in the villages.
It’s hard to say whether it’s true or not. Anyway, Old Master Zhu found out a good way for the gentry to fish from the lake in a sustainable way. He was indeed a great Confucian from the south of the Yangtze River.
Gentleman sets an example!
No matter how much he said, Zhu Xi always sat on the side of the gentry and landlords, and he also painstakingly summarized Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism. According to Zhang Ximeng's previous summary, this thing is a weird cancer, and there is something wrong with it from the root.
But, then again, it is true that Neo-Confucianism has its problems, but there is still much that can be learned from Zhu Xi's academic ability, reading level, and argumentation logic.
Chang Ximeng wanted to be his own family, but he had too many shortcomings. The most important one was that his thinking mode was different from that of most scholars today.
How to break in and how to get people to accept it has become Zhang Ximeng's biggest weakness.
After all, those who can accept Zhang Ximeng's ideas are those who have read poetry and books and have a certain foundation. Whether they are Zhu Sheng, Liu Ji, Gao Qi, or Xu Gui, they are all such people.
But Zhang Ximeng can't expect people in the world to learn Confucius and Mencius first, then pretend to be a Neo-Confucian scholar, and then repent and become his loyal disciples, right?
Obviously, this is unrealistic.
There was no other way but to start with Zhu Xi's academic rules. Although Zhang Ximeng did not dig up Zhu Xi's ancestral grave, he decided to incorporate Zhu Xi and swallow up Neo-Confucianism... It seems to be more ruthless!
Zhang Ximeng was fiddling with the academic rules of Bailudong Academy, some of which were mentioned before. Here he started to clarify the rules. The first rule is: "Father and son are related, and monarch and minister have righteousness."
The husband and wife should be distinguished, the elders and the young should be in order, friends should have faith, and the Five Religions should be followed. Yao and Shun made contracts as disciples and respected the Five Religions. This is how it is.
These few sentences are to explain the principles and principles, and bring out Yao and Shun. They say that our school teaches students to have a correct mind and cultivate their moral integrity. They talk about father and son, monarch and ministers are righteous, and they talk about the three cardinal principles and five constant principles.
Right? Zhang Ximeng looked at it for a long time. It seemed like there was nothing wrong with it. If he was giving lectures, he couldn't lecture on things like father-son discord, monarchs and ministers slaughtering each other, husbands and wives fighting, and brothers turning against each other. This is almost an impeccable nonsense. It all depends on how you understand it.
Zhang Ximeng pondered for a while, took out the difference between husband and wife, and then wrote a sentence at the end, there is no difference between husband and wife.
Men and women are different. Isn’t this nonsense? Who doesn’t know?
But there is a difference between husband and wife. The word "husband and wife" is equivalent to acknowledging that men and women are different. Men are the masters of the outside world and women are the masters of the house. Men are the heads of the family and women are just accessories.
However, Zhang Ximeng added the word Wudai at the end, which immediately changed the meaning. Although husband and wife are different, their legal status is the same, and women also enjoy property rights.
Zhang Ximeng looked at his annotation and couldn't help but grin.
It turns out that this is the great Confucian’s happiness!
In fact, this sentence originally came from Mencius. Zhu Xi took it and used it as the academic rules of Bailudong Academy. It is equivalent to expressing his own opinions through the mouth of the saint.
And Zhang Ximeng's new annotation is tantamount to drawing the sages to his side again.
As for what Mencius said, it is not important. I think what you said is important!
In a word, the final right of interpretation belongs to me.
After Zhang Ximeng successfully solved the problem, he suddenly got out of control.
"Learn eruditely. Inquire deeply. Think carefully. Discriminate clearly. Practice diligently."
This sentence comes from Zhongyong, which belongs to the process of reading... and Zhang Ximeng added four words at the end: the unity of knowledge and action.
Of course he knows that practicing it diligently does not mean practice. He also knows that the person who advocates the unity of knowledge and action does not mean practice either. But now the power of interpretation is in my hands. I can explain it however I want.
After Zhang Ximeng pondered for a while, he wrote: "The King of Wu opened up his subjects to recruit scholars and promoted his sons to become officials. He first experienced events in various ministries, accumulated experience, and learned skills. This was the process of moving from learning to inquiry, thinking about it, and distinguishing it.
Then use the proceeds to assist the country and govern the people, which is to practice it sincerely, and to unite knowledge and action.
"Justify one's righteousness without seeking its own benefits. Know one's way without considering its merits."
He who is a scholar does not talk about profit, and does not make profit himself. He becomes an official in the court and serves the Holy Master. He does not annex acres of land, does not evade taxes and servitude, and is a model for all people and a pillar of the country. He is the same on the outside and dignified. Zhang Ximeng annotated all the way and wrote an academic rule by Zhu Xi.
, the changes were beyond recognition, Old Master Zhu’s coffin board could no longer hold it.
In order to prevent Zhu Xi from deceiving his body, Zhang Ximeng himself summarized a paragraph later... For thousands of years, there have been various opinions and there are many heroes and wise men in China.
What has not been brought up?
But there are too many things that are just mentioned, left in books, talked about, but never put into practice.
Because knowledge and reality are separated, books and reality cannot be connected... I think that if a person has the heart to serve the country, is a learned man, and agrees with the annexation of land, he will get at most two of the three.
It can be seen that most people are unwilling to give up annexing their land, so they can only choose between thieves without kings and fathers, or unreasonable bastards.
After Zhang Ximeng finished writing, he was very satisfied and put down the brush. Halfway up from the coffin, Old Master Zhu, who was about to lift the lid of the coffin, lay down silently again.
This person is so powerful, I'm afraid he is no match for me!
While Zhang Ximeng was immersed in joy, suddenly, the door opened!
There was a bang, and Zhang Ximeng was so frightened that he stood up in a hurry. The next second, a guy covered in dust and blood rushed into Zhang Ximeng's arms.
"Brother, I'm still alive!"
Zhang Ximeng pondered for a moment, then stretched out his hand and hugged Zhu Ying.
"It'll be good to come back, it'll be good to come back!"
Zhu Ying burst into tears. He grabbed a piece of paper with writing on it from the table, wiped it on his face, and said pitifully: "Brother, I'm really afraid that I won't be able to see you. God bless Zhang Ximeng."
He looked at the piece of paper and then at Zhu Ying. His face turned dark... I fucking don't want to see you!
