Tongbai Mountain, Taipingding, where the main altar of South Taiping Road is located.
As the main altar of South Taiping Road that influences Jianghuai, Jingxiang, and Ruying, it naturally has a certain magnanimity.
Its scale is mainly reflected in the Taiping Peak.
The entire mountain peak is centered on Mingtang, and inside are a number of South Taiping Dao commanders, including Liu Pi and Gong Du. Then along the ridge line, there are some higher-status military generals and yellow scarf warriors.
These are considered the core leadership of Taiping Dao, and they all live on Taiping Peak. A community is also formed at the foot of the mountain, where the senior believers of South Taiping Dao live.
No one can tell how many people live in this area, but there are probably over ten thousand people. In addition to supplying all the needs of the peak, these core believers spend the rest of their time reciting the Taiping Sutra.
Therefore, Taiping Peak is always filled with the sound of continuous chanting, which is sacred and solemn.
In fact, the spatial structure of Taiping Peak reflects the secular power structure that South Taiping Road aspires to build.
In the entire sect pyramid, the top level at the top is the sect's canal, and below that are the warriors and yellow turban warriors who control the force. They serve as the military guarantee of Taipingdao. The lowest level is the sect members, who are responsible for farming.
Supply the above two levels.
It can be said that at this time, South Taiping Road had developed a relatively mature organizational structure.
Taiping Peak is only the core of Tongbai Mountain. There are many other peaks and various squares, which together with the surrounding ravines, watchtowers, ditches and earthen walls protect Taiping Peak in the middle.
The above together constitute the defense structure of the Tongbai Mountain Yellow Turban.
And now, that is, when Yuan Jun broke through its outermost Yangkou wall, there are still about 100,000 people living in this mountainous area.
And the vast majority of these 100,000 people are farmers and craftsmen.
Because the Taishan Army has always attached great importance to craftsmen, this naturally affected Liu Pi and the others. In the process of expanding their followers, Liu Pi and the others consciously gathered various craftsmen in Tongbai Mountain to form their own processing capabilities.
These craftsmen range from blacksmiths, knifemakers, armorers, to painters, barrel makers, and potters. It can be said that they cover all kinds of daily skills.
There are also some business people living here, and these people are responsible for trafficking mountain goods in exchange for what is needed in the mountain. It can be said that Tongbai Mountain is a miniature country. It is no wonder that their own people call it the paradise on earth.
Previously, because swords were turned into plowshares, there were not many troops in Tongbai Mountain. However, as the external situation deteriorated and there was concern that Yuan Shao might turn against his purpose, Taiping Dao began to rebuild the Yellow Turban Army.
This time, with sufficient financial resources and learning from past experiences and lessons, Liu Pi and others began to organize and train the army under a more formal military system.
He selected 30,000 warriors from Nanyang and Runan Taoist disciples and divided them into six tribes, titled "Six Tribes of Zhonghuang Taiyi." And it should be pointed out that these people are only professional warriors, not other believers.
There is no need to serve.
In fact, no matter in the past or now, the Yellow Turban Army has always pursued the strategy of all citizens being soldiers, and all followers of Zhonghuang Taiyi must contribute to the war.
Nowadays, these people may not have to bear the responsibility of soldiers, but they still need to participate in the construction of gullies, earth walls and other fortifications. It can be said that Taiping Road does not support idlers.
With such a huge manpower and the transformation of a confrontational religion into a welfare religion, it stands to reason that we can really carve out a paradise in this troubled world.
But unfortunately, they met Yuan Shao, the dictatorial hero of Qiankun.
From this we can also see that people like Liu Pi may have some abilities, but they really lack enough overall vision.
They still believe that the reason why Yuan Shao wants to attack them is because Yuan Shao is concerned about their small rations of money and food.
In fact, this thought is only the first level, but Yuan Shao has never mentioned the deeper meaning to others.
That involves Yuan Shao's selfishness of not being humane to others.
What is the current situation? Few people who have any insight into the overall situation can tell something.
From north to south, now the Taishan Army controls You, Ping, and Ji; then the Guanxi Court controls Yong, Long, Bing, and Yi; the Guandong Court controls the capital and Hanoi, Cao Cao controls Qingzhou, Tao Qian controls Xuzhou, and Yanzhou is controlled by the Taishan Army.
Three of them occupied two, Zhang Miao occupied one; Yuan Shu occupied Nanyang, Liu Biao occupied Jingxiang, and Yuan Shao occupied Yuzhou.
It can be said that the current situation is very clear.
That is, Yuan Shao's surrounding forces are either allies or brothers. Only the Guandong Court in the north and Liu Biao in the southwest corner can attack.
This does not mean that you cannot attack your own allies, such as Zhang Miao, Cao Cao, and Yuan Shao, but the point is that there is a Taishan Army to the north.
When the general situation in the north was overwhelming, Yuan Shao needed allies like Cao Cao and Zhang Miao to share the pressure.
What about the Kanto court in Gyeonggi Province?
Yuan Shao did not intend to take action. Even if the banner of his army was to overthrow the Han Dynasty, and even if he had a bloody feud with the Guandong court, he did not intend to attack the capital.
This was decided from a geographical perspective, because once he attacks Gyeonggi, his defense pressure will be particularly great.
In addition to having to deal with the counterattack of Guanxi in the east and west of Hedong in the north, it will also increase the contact area between him and the Taishan Army, which is not conducive to Yuan Shao's defense.
After all the calculations, only Jingzhou in the southwest and Yangzhou in the south can be used as the direction of expansion in the next stage.
Fortunately, the passages from Yuzhou to these two places were occupied by the Yellow Turban Army. There are two passages from Yuzhou to Jingxiang.
