In Tianqian City, a grand ordination ceremony was held in the huge Buddhist temple that had just been built.
This Buddhist temple had not yet been completed when Yuantong left Tianqian City. It is said that the entire Buddhist temple was built according to the specifications of the most grand temple in Buddhism, and 10,000 Han, Qiang and other slaves were used.
The floor of the Buddhist hall in the Buddhist temple is covered with gold bricks, which Shang Qixin'er collected.
A huge Buddha statue stands on the temple. The entire Buddha statue is also covered with gold foil. The sunlight shines on the Buddha from the hanging window on the roof, illuminating the entire temple with gleaming light.
Then, the silk gauze hanging from the roof will make the entire temple look like a fairyland.
Around the temple, incense candles mixed with spices were burning.
I just don’t know how many slaves’ bones are buried under this solemn Buddhist temple.
Yuantong and other monks were sitting cross-legged around the Buddhist hall.
This Buddhist temple was specially built for the ordination ceremony. Tubo East Dao Da Lun Shang Qixin'er will receive the ordination ceremony in this magnificent Buddhist hall and completely convert to Buddhism.
This time, Shang Qixin'er converted to Buddhism and was ordained, and young Zanpu also paid great attention to it.
Not only did they send eminent monks to help Shang Qixin'er receive the ordination, but they also sent two "Shangs" from Zanputing to specially attend the ordination ceremony.
This time's ordination ceremony made the anti-Buddhist ministers in Zamputing feel a crisis.
This young Zamp seems to be better at power than his dead father.
As soon as Trisong Detsen took office, he united with the anti-Buddhist ministers, killed the powerful ministers who killed Lao Zanpu, and regained power from the regent's mother.
Immediately afterwards, Trisong Detsen backhandedly invited eminent monks from Tianzhu to support Buddhism and suppress the conservative ministers in Zamputing.
Most of these conservative ministers believed in the Bon religion, and the non-Buddhist ministers were personally promoted by Trisong Detsen and gradually occupied important positions in Zamputing.
Nowadays, the host Shang Qixin'er, one of the four major Tubo treatises, openly announced his conversion to Buddhism and held a grand ordination ceremony in Tianqian City. Tubo Zanpu not only sent eminent monks to preside over the ordination ceremony, but also sent envoys to observe the ceremony.
, this all announced to Tubo that Zanpu had formed an alliance with Shang Qixin'er.
The previous decree to establish more major chapters in Zangputing also resulted in more ministers supporting Trisong Detsen in Zamputing.
Now, Shang Qi, who had a large number of troops and controlled the eastern route of Tubo, turned to Trisong Detsen, which made Trisong Detsen even stronger.
Yuantong sat in the group of monks and watched Shang Qixin'er, who was dressed in silk cassocks, walk into the main hall surrounded by many monks.
Immediately afterwards, the Nepalese eminent monk Shantarakshita sent by Tsampu took out the ordination razor.
Shantarakshita comes from the Nepal region opposite the Himalayas. He is proficient in Indian, Sanskrit, Tubo and Chinese languages.
At this time, the great monk took the razor and said: "This razor is the ordination knife used by Buddha Sakyamuni to shave his disciples. I brought it to Tubo just to make the glory of Buddha shine in Tubo."
When he heard about the razor used by Buddha, Yuantong immediately raised his head.
All I saw was that it was a razor with an ordinary blade and a handle inlaid with malachite.
Yuantong quickly turned on the camera and pointed it at the razor in Jigo's hand.
Many monks chanted the Buddha's name one after another, and even Shang Qixin'er tilted her head to express respect for the Buddha's magic weapon.
Next, Shantarakshita led Shang Qixin'er to the Buddhist hall and guided Shang Qixin'er to sit on the futon.
Jinghu took out a razor, cut off a bunch of Shang Qixin'er's hair and said:
"Your Majesty, the Buddha still needs you to complete your mission before you can enter the Buddhist kingdom of eternal peace and practice."
Shang Qixin'er lowered her head and asked, "What other tasks does this treatise need to complete?"
Shantarakshita put Shang Qixin'er's hair on the candle and burned it. After the hair turned into ashes, he said:
"Buddha needs sermons to shine the light of Buddha to more lands."
Shang Qixin'er raised her head, pointed to the east and said: "To the east of Tubo, the people of the Tang Dynasty are still sinking under the rule of paganism. Does the Buddha want me to liberate the Tang people?"
Shantarakshita was noncommittal and said to Shang Qixin'er: "Please Da Lun swear an oath in front of the Buddha. As long as the land conquered by Da Lun will become the Buddha's kingdom on earth, then the Buddha will naturally let you enter the paradise after death.
Enjoy eternal joy!"
Shang Qixin'er put her palms together and prayed in front of the Buddha statue. Shantarakshita put away her sword and said to the many monks:
"The ordination ceremony has been completed. Yesterday I received the Buddha's revelation. The great sermon is that I, the Buddha, the Dharma Protector Vajra, will be reincarnated and I will protect the Dharma on earth!"
Yuantong mingled among the many monks and chanted the Buddha's name, which echoed throughout the temple.
Shang Qixin'er's subordinates and officials standing at the door of the hall were also stunned by this grand ordination ceremony.
Whether they were unruly warriors wearing tiger and leopard dresses, or nobles with bows symbolizing wisdom on their arms, they all knelt on the ground, at the feet of Shang Qixin'er, who was blessed with both power and Dharma.
After walking out of the Buddhist hall, Shang Qi'er nodded to her general and said:
"You have also heard just now that this great treatise is the reincarnation of Dharma Protector Vajra, and it is necessary to open up a Buddhist kingdom on earth for me, the Buddha."
"The rebel king Jianning of the Tang Dynasty destroyed Buddhist temples in Shazhou and obstructed the Dharma. He is the first enemy I need to eradicate as the Dharma Protector!"
"By the order of this great treatise, all the warriors who have gathered at Tianqian, immediately take your weapons and livestock and set off for battle!"
Yuantong recorded everything and sent information to King Jianning that the Tibetan army had gathered.
At the same time, Fang Guan, who had trouble sleeping and eating, still had not made up his mind.
The property seized from the merchants was rewarded to the officers of the Chishui Army, but there were still a large number of soldiers who did not receive the rewards.
Coupled with the arrears of wages to the soldiers before, the Chishui Army has now turned into a volcano that may erupt at any time.
The merchants have been squeezed out of their wealth. Now the number of caravans coming to Wuwei City has decreased by more than half, and the prisons are already filled with merchants.
Do we really want to accept the conditions of the Tubo people and transfer the Chishui Army back to Wuwei?
Fang Guan was also hesitant. If he had known that the position of Hexi Jiedushi was so hot, he should not have applied for a foreign appointment at that time.
It was all Dou Shen who harmed me! This guy has run away, leaving Fang Guan sitting on the volcano.
At this time, the housekeeper sent a message again, asking Chu Zhuang to see him.
As soon as he heard Chu Zhuang's name, Fang Guan was ready to pretend to be sick and disappear, but when he thought of the Chishui Army, Fang Guan had to cheer up and ask the housekeeper to bring Chu Zhuang in.
After Chu Zhuang saluted Fang Guan, he said: "Jie Shuai, several people from Hongwen Hall have left. Zhuang also said goodbye to Jieshuai."
Hongwen Pavilion was a place where Fang Guan lived for his guests and staff. When he heard that Chu Zhuang was leaving, Fang Guan stood up in surprise.
I only heard Chu Zhuang say: "Although Zhuang has no knowledge, he knows how to save his life. Wuwei is about to overthrow. If I don't leave now, I'm afraid I won't be able to leave!"
