Chapter seven hundred and thirteenth there may be medicine

 "Ah!"

Just as he was about to reach out to catch the monk holding the Zen staff, he heard the fire in the thatched cottage at the foot of the mountain and stood up in shock.

"Amitabha!"

Old Zen Master Wanxiang took a step back while holding the abbot's Zen staff.

The great monk suddenly came to his senses and realized that he had lost his composure. He hurriedly said the Buddha's name in shame and knelt down again.

The other monks all turned their attention to the young monk, indicating with their eyes that he would talk about something later and not to disturb the abbot's ordination ceremony.

But a cunning light flashed in the little monk's eyes, and he continued to shout anxiously: "The Qinglian Fairy who lives at the foot of the mountain, she - she -"

The two words "she" are full of sadness.

The great monk's heart, as still as water, was frightened.

"What's wrong with her?" Old Zen Master Wanxiang asked.

"She didn't come out." The little monk said sadly.

When the great monk heard this, he stood up in shock.

"Amitabha!"

Old Zen Master Wanxiang put away the abbot's Zen staff, looked at the great monk and sighed: "Huikong, your six roots have not been purified, and your mortal world has not been broken, so you are not yet able to take over as the abbot."

"Disciple is ashamed, please punish me, Master!" The great monk knelt down on the ground in shame.

"Amitabha!"

"The Buddha cannot be sought. If the Buddha cannot be sought, where is the Buddha?"

"Go down the mountain and come back after you find the answer."

After saying this, the old Zen Master Wanxiang swept away his long sleeves, picked up the great monk with all his strength and threw him out of the hall.

"Disciple, I am ashamed!" The great monk kowtowed outside the hall.

"Ah! The fire is getting bigger and bigger!" The little monk ran to the big monk's ear and shouted in panic.

The great monk's heart was so tense that he stopped kowtowing and hurriedly jumped down the mountain at high speed.

The little monk looked at the leaving figure of the big monk and smiled.

"Qinglian——"

The great monk rushed down the mountain as fast as he could and called anxiously towards the burning thatched cottage, but received no response.

He was so anxious that he blasted away the thatched cottage with several consecutive shots, and used the power of the stars to extinguish the fire. Finally, he found that Taoist Qinglian was not in the thatched cottage, and he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

He turned around and looked at Tianbaoshan and fell into silence.

He couldn't deceive himself. Just now when he learned that Taoist Qinglian burned down the thatched cottage and no one came out of the thatched cottage, his heart hurt like a knife.

Until now, my heart is still aching.

He looked at Tianbaoshan in silence for a long time, then turned and left. He wanted to find Taoist Qinglian and tell her the pain in his heart.

Then he asked her if there was a medicine doctor?

The Buddha cannot be sought. If the Buddha cannot be sought, where is the Buddha?

He thought that he might not be able to find the answer in this life.

"Wine and meat have passed through the intestines, but they remain in the heart of the Buddha."

Niu Dawa was sitting at the head of Liujia Village, holding wine in her left hand and grabbing meat in her right hand, humming a tune happily, thinking more clearly than the great monk.

He left the imperial capital and chased all the way to Tianbao Mountain before finding the young monk. He then told the young monk seriously that no matter whether the young monk was a human or a demon, he would always be the young monk's senior brother.

The young monk was so moved that he wanted to let him live in the mountain for half a month.

Niu Dawa readily agreed.

But it turned out that after only ten days of stay, the soles of his feet were slippery.

Because he didn't eat meat or fish on the mountain, he had to eat vegetables and rice every day, so his mouth almost turned pale after eating.

After leaving Tianbaoshan, he did not rush back to the imperial capital, nor did he go to find Yuan Taiping in the south. Instead, he went back to Liujia Village first.

Standing at the head of Liujia Village, he could not help but feel sad because of the desolation he saw.

The fields were deserted, and so were the villages. The yards of every household were overgrown with weeds, and the paths in the village were gradually covered with weeds.

The graves behind the village are also buried deep in wormwood.

He couldn't bear to see such a desolate scene.

So he stayed temporarily, cleared weeds from house to house, and repaired the collapsed and damaged houses and walls. It took seven days to make Liujia Village look brand new.

"It still looks comfortable like this."

After eating and drinking enough, Niu Dawa stood up and looked at the fruits of his labor with great satisfaction.

Then he frowned and pondered for a while, thinking that he should discuss with Zhang Xiaozhu and find some people to live in Liujiacun, otherwise it would lack vitality no matter how neat and tidy it was.

A village that is inhabited by people is called a village, and a village that is uninhabited is ultimately a deserted village.

"Let's go. I'll come back to see you when I have time."

Niu Dawa muttered and waved to the grave at the back of the village, then turned and left eastward.

But after walking a few steps, he suddenly saw a young woman wearing a green fairy skirt coming from the south, and he couldn't help but stop.

He looked at the young woman and frowned slightly.

He didn't know this woman, but her otherworldly temperament made him familiar, as if she was a member of the sect.

The woman stopped under the old willow tree, walked around the old willow tree twice, then raised her head and looked to the west, and finally looked at Liujia Village. Her eyes fell on Niu Dawa, and she raised her hands and asked, "Brother,

, is this Liujia Village?"

"Yes." Niu Dawa nodded in response.

The woman held an ink painting in front of her eyes, looked at it, nodded and said to herself: "It is located at the foot of the mountain, and there is a centuries-old willow tree at the entrance of the village. Yes, this should be the Liujia Village I am looking for."

Niu Dawa heard the woman muttering to herself in the distance, and couldn't help but feel curious, asking: "Who are you? What are you doing in Liujia Village?"

The woman folded up the ink painting in her hand, put her feet on the ground and jumped down in front of Niu Dawa, and bowed her hands to Niu Dawa again.

Niu Dawa returned the favor.

"Little girl——" The woman paused for a moment, then said: "Wen Tianzong, you can follow me."

"——" The corner of Niu Dawa's mouth twitched hard, and he tried hard to control his facial muscles to prevent himself from laughing.

He didn't expose the woman's lie immediately because he didn't know what the woman was here for. If he exposed her lie now, it would definitely make her wary.

"I'm in Taiping, Xia Yuan Dynasty. I had the honor to meet Miss Du. I wonder why she came to Liujia Village?" Niu Dawa also gave a false name.

In fact, he really wanted to tell Zhou Jianlai's name, but he was afraid that the woman in front of him would know about Zhou Jianlai, so he didn't dare to tell her.

The woman replied: "The little girl was entrusted by someone to visit a friend named Zhang Xiaozhu."

Then she looked at the deserted Liujia Village, frowned and asked, "There seems to be no one in this village?"

"Hey -" Niu Dawa let out a long sigh and said with a sad expression: "Girl, you are late. All the people in Liujia Village have died in the war. I am from the next village, and I don't want to see their village abandoned, so when I have nothing to do, I'll come over and clean up."

"Dead - all dead?" The woman was stunned.

"They're all dead, not a single one is left." Niu Dawa nodded.

The woman came back to her senses, with a sad expression on her face, and asked in a disappointed voice: "Is Zhang Xiaopeng dead too?"

"Hey——" Niu Dawa sighed.

He was very curious about the woman's identity.

What the woman said told him that she probably knew very little about Zhang Xiaozhu's experience, especially his experience after the drought. She probably knew nothing at all.

But she looked sad and lost, and seemed to care a lot about Zhang Xiaozu.

"Could it be——" Niu Dawa's heart suddenly jumped, and a bold and exciting guess came into his mind.

However, the woman lied about her name first, so he was not sure whether the woman's words and look of sadness and loss were also fake, so he could only suppress the bold speculation in his heart for the time being, and then observe.

"Hey, I wish I could have come earlier." The woman shook her head and sighed, and then asked Niu Dawa, "I wonder where Zhang Xiaozhu's grave is. I want to go there and pay my respects."

"I'll take the girl there." Niu Dawa led the girl towards the cemetery behind the village.

There is indeed Zhang Xiaozu's grave at the back of the village. Not only is it there, but among the dense pile of graves, his is the only one with a wooden tombstone stuck in front of it.

Qi Ronger buried this grave for Zhang Xiaopou, and she also erected the tombstone.

In front of the tombstone is engraved "The Tomb of Zhang Xiaozu".

The words Qi Ronger left for Zhang Xiaopou were originally engraved on the back of the tombstone, but some kind of evil bird often stood on the tombstone and pooped, and the words behind it were blurred by the bird droppings.

"Xiaozu's grave is here. We often played together when we were children." Niu Dawa said as he led the woman to Zhang Xiaozu's grave.

He wanted to say a few more words, but he swallowed them back because he suddenly felt a weak space fluctuation behind the woman, as if someone was hiding in the folded space.

He scratched his head pretending not to know, and stepped back a few steps intentionally or unintentionally.

"It's a pity that I didn't get to see you alive." The woman looked at Zhang Xiaozu's tombstone and said to herself.

"snort!"

"Is this scoundrel really dead?"

The space behind the woman suddenly shook and twisted, and with an angry snort, two men walked out of the folded space.

The leader was about fifty years old, with narrow eyes and a long face, with a gloomy cold light in his eyes.

The latter was in his mid-twenties, wearing a loose, cool jacket and long trousers. He also had narrow eyes and a long face, with an unhappy look on his face.

The former's name is Shen Wenyu, and he is the second master of Shen family of the Shen family. The latter's name is Shen Wanhua, and he is the eldest son of Shen Wenyu.

"Second-second uncle, cousin Wanhua, why-why are you here?!"

The woman turned around and saw the two people walking out of the folding space. Her face turned pale with fright, and her body and voice trembled nervously.

"Why, can't we come here?" Shen Wenyu didn't give the woman any good looks, stepped forward and pushed her away from the grave.

He stared at Zhang Xiaozu's tombstone, turned to Niu Dawa and asked, "How long has this scoundrel been dead?"

"Back to the eldest master, he has been dead for more than a year." Niu Dawa shrank her body and replied in a feigned panic.

"How long is more than a year?" Shen Wenyu asked.

"About two to three months." Niu Dawa replied.

Shen Wenyu frowned, and then ordered Niu Dawa: "You, dig up the grave."

"Ah?" Niu Dawa yelled with a frightened expression. He shook his head like a rattle and shrank back, indicating that he did not dare.

"Can't!"

The woman shouted and stood in front of the grave with her arms stretched out.

Snapped!

Shen Wenyu's eyes turned cold and he didn't even bother to say a word. He raised his hand and slapped the woman to the ground.

But the woman immediately got up and stood in front of the grave again with her arms outstretched.

"Bitch maid, are you looking for death?!" Shen Wenyu scolded angrily.

"He's already dead, you-"

Snapped!

Before the woman could finish her words, she was slapped and sent flying.
