Chapter 101: Zen Buddhism, Fanatical Groupies

"Only when you make mistakes will you remember them forever! Only then can you know what is important and what is dispensable. Have you ever understood your true intentions?"

These words, Tang Sen used his magic power to clearly ring in everyone's ears.

To the monks of Baolin Temple, these deviant words are like bells in the morning and drums in the evening, but when you think about it, it does make sense.

The scene was silent for a while, and everyone had a look of deep thought on their face. From time to time, someone would realize it, smile, and not disturb other people. They would just reflect on it secretly and wait for others to wake up.

The abbot also frowned in understanding.

Not long after, they woke up one after another. Everyone was smiling and had gained more or less. They kept these words in their hearts and pondered them all the time.

But now, in front of Tang Sen, in their eyes, Tang Sen is no different from the real Buddha in the world. After all, how can such a transparent Buddhist principle be expounded by ordinary people?

"May I ask the master, what is a Buddha?" The abbot's frown has not yet relaxed. What he heard today has subverted his understanding. He has dedicated his whole life to this temple and kept the rules and precepts all his life. In the end,

Some people said that nothing he did was important, and he couldn't accept it. He asked the biggest doubt in his heart at this time.

"Those who have no self, no sentient beings, and no lifespan are the signs of seeing the Tathagata."

"Buddha has no form at all. When you see all living beings, you are a Buddha. When you see the heaven and earth, you are a Buddha." Tang Sen said seriously, speaking out word by word. This is also his understanding of Buddha.

The abbot seemed to have some understanding, but he was still puzzled.

"I dare to ask the holy monk, since the Buddha exists in all living beings and in heaven and earth, what is enshrined on the high platform in the temple?" The abbot stared into Tang Sen's eyes and asked.

This is a bit heartbreaking. Tang Sen wants to say that those people are all for his own benefit? But does he dare? He doesn't dare!

Can he? No!

After all, he is one of them. Buddha is his master, Guanyin has an ambiguous relationship with him, and he himself is one of the beneficiaries. It is unheard of to smash his own bowl by himself.

Sighing, it turns out that the butt determines the head. When the matter does not concern oneself, one can be as lofty as possible. It has a sense of being otherworldly, but once it is related to one's own interests, one can't help but add subjective opinions.

All we can say is that nature is like this and so are people.

A perfect person has no self, a god has no merit, and a saint has no name.

Then the only one who can be supreme is the one who exists in the invisible, right? Does the Supreme Being exist?

After despising himself for a while, Tang Sen thought about how to answer the question in front of him.

After pondering for a moment, Tang Sen stretched out his right hand to hold it, looked at the abbot and asked.

"What's this?"

The abbot shook his head.

"This is Buddha." Tang Sen said slowly.

He took out another steamed bun and asked.

"What's this?"

The abbot still shook his head.

"This is also a Buddha." Tang Sen said.

He put the steamed bun into his mouth without hesitation. He hadn't had breakfast yet, and he was just messing around with these monks. He was already hungry.

After finishing the steamed buns, when he saw that the abbot was still thinking hard, with cold sweat on his forehead, Tang Sen secretly screamed, it was probably a demonic obstacle.

"Wake up!" Tang Sen's soul was extremely powerful after traveling to the underworld. At this time, he used the power of his soul to try to wake up the abbot who was trapped in the demonic barrier. Although it was just a whisper in other people's ears, it was like a bolt from the blue in the abbot's ears, and he was freed immediately.

After suffering a demonic disorder, he woke up with a weak face.

"Idiot, the Buddha has no characteristics, but the world has characteristics, and people also have characteristics. It is naturally impossible to teach the existence of characteristics by using non-signs. Just like the air, it is extremely important to people and is indispensable, but it is not intuitive.

Most people won’t care.”

"But the steamed buns are different. They are still indispensable, but they have a phase, so a living person can relieve people's hunger. This is a connection and a phase."

Only then did the abbot understand.

"Holy monk, are you saying that the real Buddha is like air, while the enshrined Buddha is like steamed buns?" the abbot asked.

Tang Sen nodded with satisfaction, "You boy, you can be taught."

"The true realm of Buddha is destined to be unattainable by no one. It is as illusory as the moon in a well or the flowers in the mirror. Although it is beautiful, it is elusive. But the world needs salvation, just like people need to eat steamed buns when they are hungry. This is the meaning of Buddhism.

, it is our responsibility to solve people's difficulties and overcome their misfortunes, rather than rigidly abiding by some rules and regulations."

After saying that, Tang Sen also said longingly.

"The mountains stand tall and the scenery stops. Even though I can't reach them, my heart longs for them."

Suddenly enlightened! Really enlightened!

Not only did the abbot understand, but all the monks present also understood.

At this time, they clearly understood their original intention and understood the meaning of practicing Buddhism. It was as if they had found the direction of life, instead of just obsessively observing the rules and precepts and ending their remaining lives like the ancient Buddha of Qingdeng like before.

"Thank you so much, holy monk, for your kindness in preaching, I will never forget it!" Everyone sang in unison, and they all bowed to perform the disciple ceremony. The scene was spectacular for a while.

Seeing such a grand scene, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing were both stunned.

"My dear, Master is so awesome." Zhu Bajie couldn't help but sigh, and touched Sha Wujing next to him with his elbow.

"Um, don't make trouble. What the master said implies Buddhist principles. I have to understand it carefully." Sha Wujing looked deep in thought. What Tang Sen said just now deeply shocked his three views.

Zhu Bajie curled his lips, "Okay, I'm fooling someone again. When will I, old pig, reach the level of a master?"

Zhu Bajie looked at Tang Sen with eyes full of longing.

The resurrected King Wuji also followed the two of them, but now he was wearing an ordinary monk's robe. His long hair was too dazzling, so Zhu Bajie forcibly gave him a haircut. He originally wanted to shave his head directly, but the King Wuji refused to let him live.

, if you cut it short and get medical treatment, it will grow back as time goes by. If you get tonsured, you will be a monk. Wouldn’t it be ridiculous for a monk to be a king?

At this time, he couldn't help but nod his head when he heard Tang Sen's words to enlighten the monks. As a king, he had to see the human nature of this world more clearly. He originally looked down on the hypocrite style of Buddhism, but Tang Sen's words not only resonated with the world.

His Buddhist theories are quite different from each other, and they have also benefited him a lot.

This Tang Sen is a man of wisdom!

Ordinary people are ignorant and only know how to follow the trend. The Tao cannot be taught to non-human beings. Only the virtuous can listen to it. It is obvious that Tang Sen is a virtuous person with wisdom.

Seeing that he had finally frightened the monk in front of him, Tang Sen breathed a sigh of relief.

Although these people couldn't do anything to him, the feeling of subduing someone without fighting was completely different from the feeling of simply using force to suppress someone.

Sure enough, persuading talents with virtue is the right answer.

Tang Sen became more determined in his ability to deceive people. As long as he spoke well, even the gods would run away. Fighting with words was better than using swords, guns and hidden arrows.

"I haven't asked for the name of the holy monk yet." The abbot asked respectfully. He didn't believe that an ordinary person could say such a thing.

"The poor monk of the Tang Dynasty, Sanzang of the Tang Dynasty, went to the West to worship Buddha and seek scriptures from his master Tathagata." Tang Sen said calmly. Although he always used this to bluff people, there was no hint of arrogance in his tone.

Tathagata? Tathagata Buddha?

Immediately, the abbot's feet gave way and he almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, the monk next to him had quick eyesight and quick hands to catch him.

"No wonder, no wonder." Even though the abbot almost fell, he still muttered to himself.

Everyone else was also boiling as if a pot had exploded.

Who is reasoning with them? They are disciples of Tathagata Buddha!

I have eaten and talked with disciples of Tathagata Buddha, so I will be proud of it.

Everyone was immediately excited and excited, looking at Tang Sen in front of the door with reverence.

"The old monk has blind eyes and cannot see Mount Tai. He does not know that the true Buddha is right in front of him. Please forgive me for neglecting the holy monk." The abbot broke free from the support of others, knelt respectfully in front of Tang Sen, and said apologetically.

At first, he knew that the monks wanted to trouble Tang Sen, but he did not stop them. Instead, he covered his face and wanted to watch the fun and see how Tang Sen was embarrassed. The humiliation of being slapped in the face made him angry and ashamed.

But at this moment, after receiving some Buddhist teachings from Tang Sen, he sincerely repented and apologized.

Naturally, outsiders did not know the purpose of the old abbot's move. They only thought that he was kneeling down to worship the real Buddha. They all knelt down in unison, just like they would worship the Buddha on weekdays. They all knelt down and shouted "True Buddha, True Buddha" loudly.

.

Looking at these devout believers in front of him, Tang Sen smiled slightly.

Infinite Buddha light bloomed behind him, and for a moment he really felt like a Buddha.

All the monks who were illuminated by the Buddha's light had all their physical ailments and all their ailments disappeared. The people who noticed the changes in their bodies became even more enthusiastic.

If you are not a true Buddha, how can you have such ability!

"Compared to the real Buddha, I prefer you to call me the Holy Monk." Tang Sen said with a slight smile.

"Holy Monk, Holy Monk." The people below were shouting and screaming, and their enthusiasm was no less than that of the star-chasing scenes of later generations.

After all, they have personally received the blessing, and all the minor ailments in their bodies caused by being vegetarians and sitting for long periods of time are now cured.

The most important thing is that they saw the real Buddha and have firm faith since then.

It turned out that I also worshiped Buddha, but it was just a habit. No one had ever really seen it before, and I still had doubts in my heart. But now, the disciples of Tathagata Buddha are showing miracles in front of their eyes. Who still doesn't believe it?

They imagine that by doing good deeds and accumulating virtue, they will be able to go to the Paradise of Paradise without any worries.

Even, like the holy monk in front of you, you can walk on behalf of the Buddha and save the world.

That's right, in their eyes, Journey to the West is Tang Sen's act on behalf of the Buddha, performing Buddhist deeds with his own body, and saving all sentient beings. How can they not worship such a great act?

Tang Sen looked down at the excited crowd, and when he was gently pressed down, the place fell silent.

Tang Sen stepped forward, helped the old abbot up, and gently took off the gauze on his face. Suddenly, two red and swollen slap marks came into view, which were inflicted by himself.
