Chapter Fourteen: The King Arrives

In the year 298 of Aegon's calendar, this was the tenth year of the long summer in Westeros.

One day during this long summer, Robert Baratheon, the King of the Seven Kingdoms, came to Winterfell in the north.

Robb, whose face had been carefully sculpted, his hair combed, and dressed in aristocratic casual clothes and a black cloak, looked at his father and the king walking side by side to the tomb, with an inexplicable chill in his eyes.

Um?

From the corner of his eye, he noticed that Cersei, who was standing next to his mother and talking softly, was looking at him.

When Robb and Cersei's eyes met, Cersei's beautiful face bloomed with a kind smile, and she walked towards him gracefully.

"Your Majesty the Queen!"

Robb saluted respectfully,

Cersei waved her hand to show off her courtesy. She glanced up and down at Robb and said softly: "There are rumors about the Young Wolf Lord all the way around. When I saw him today, he is indeed very brave."

"Your Majesty the Queen is joking. I just followed the army to see them encircle and suppress the savages. These nicknames are randomly chosen by uninformed civilians."

Robb replied with a smile that was neither humble nor haughty.

"Yeah?"

Cersei raised her eyebrows when she heard Robb's answer, but didn't say much.

She summoned the two siblings, Myrcella and Tommen, and headed towards the main castle.

Joffrey, who looked gloomy, followed closely with his hound, but when he passed by Robb, he smiled crookedly: "I heard that you are good at swordsmanship, and I happen to be considered a master of swordsmanship in King's Landing. Can we compete with each other sometime?"

"As ordered, it is my honor to compete with His Royal Highness in swordsmanship!"

Robb, who had already been unhappy when he saw Sansa making secret glances at Joffrey, agreed immediately.

"good!"

Joffrey clapped his hands happily, immediately changed his gloomy expression, and headed towards the main castle with a smile on his face. It seemed that he was already sure of victory in this competition.

The expressionless hunting dog followed closely, fulfilling its duty to protect the prince.

Standing in the distance, Jaime saw that Cersei and Joffrey had entered the main castle. He glanced at Robb and then turned to look for his brother who liked to check the work of prostitutes.

"Robb, these are not good people, but you have a special status and you..."

Catherine, who had been silent all the time, put her hand on Robb's elbow, but hesitated to speak.

"Mom, please don't worry, I'm sure of it!"

Robb smiled, patted the back of Catherine's hand and comforted her.

Then, he turned his head and looked at Xion, who was standing behind him, and tilted his head in the direction James left.

Xion instantly understood what he meant, nodded, then turned around and quietly left Winterfell to greet the queue.

Jon saw everything, but did not make any other movements or expressions. He just stood there silently with an upright posture.

"Hahaha, you were so ignorant back then."

"Yes, Your Majesty is the best at understanding romance. There are still many anecdotes about your romance in the Eagle's Nest City."

"Hey, are you kidding me again about embarrassing things from the past?"

These two former heroes, who had grown fat, walked out of the tomb chatting and laughing about the past. When everyone saw them coming out, they quickly bowed their heads respectfully.

Catelyn and Robb also arranged their manners and greeted them with smiles on their faces.

"I was in a hurry to go to the tomb to pay my respects, but I didn't have time to take a closer look at your children."

Robert walked up to Robb and the others, smiled at Eddard, and then looked at Robb first.

"Let me see, oh, is this the Young Wolf Lord? Very good, a strong and capable warrior.

When we were still at the inn at the crossroads, we heard someone say that he defeated the wildlings with less than he could win with more. By the way, where is your bloodthirsty direwolf that eats the wildlings alive?"

Listening to Robert's outrageous rumors, Robb smiled bitterly and replied: "Your Majesty, those are all rumors spread by people. You must not take them seriously. Bloodwind is upstairs. If you want to see it, I will tell it to come down."

"

"You must see it! If you come to the North specifically, you must see such an interesting direwolf!"

Listening to Robert's answer, Robb knew that he couldn't satisfy his curiosity. On the surface, he pouted and blew a loud whistle, but in fact, he conveyed his thoughts to Bloodwind in his heart.

Bang!

After waiting quietly for a few minutes, a huge gray black shadow fell from the sky on the solid wood corridor on the second floor connecting the main castle. Although it was huge, it did not affect its light movements. It jumped onto a bullock cart and made a sound.

Then, he quickly jumped to the ground and rushed towards Robert and Robb.

"Oh! What is that?"

"Oh my God!"

"Protect Your Majesty!"

The people in Winterfell were not surprised, but the crowd in King's Landing let out various exclamations, and some guards ran towards Robert, wanting to protect His Majesty the King.

"Get away!"

Convinced that his brother Eddard's Winterfell would not be in danger, Robert looked annoyed when he saw this and cursed at the guards.

Bloodwind came to stand next to Robb, and then everyone could see its full picture carefully.

Xue Feng has grown a lot again, his shoulder height has reached about 1.1 meters, and he is now as big as a half-sized pony.

The gray wolf fur spread out softly and fluttered in the breeze. The two fangs in the long and narrow wolf snout were like two daggers containing cold light.

The streamlined body contains strong muscle tissue, and under the slender limbs are sharp wolf claws.

When it appeared on the scene, all the humans in the room felt a strong sense of oppression as they were being watched by an apex predator.

At this time, Xue Feng's wise eyes looked at the group of people in King's Landing City, with a hint of teasing in them.

Of course Robb knew that this guy was deliberately trying to scare people like this, so he reached out and patted Bloodwind's head angrily.

Xue Feng, who had already developed his intelligence, immediately put the huge wolf head into Robb's arms in a flattering manner, and at the same time, the fluffy wolf tail began to sway from side to side.

Complete the transformation from predator to beggar in an instant.

"Good! What a mighty and majestic direwolf! The title of Young Wolf Lord is correct!"

Robert looked at Xue Feng, his eyes full of love, and couldn't help but praise loudly.

"Thank you for the compliment, Your Majesty!"

Hearing this, Robb smiled and nodded in return.

"Ned! Are there any direwolves in the wild in Winterfell? I want to capture one... no, capture a litter and bring it back to King's Landing to feed."

Robert was delighted to see the hunting spirit. The more he looked at Bloodwind, the more he fell in love with it. He turned to Eddard and said.

Listening to the king's whimsical words, Ed resisted the urge to roll his eyes and replied: "There have never been traces of direwolves in the Great Wall. This litter of wolf cubs is the first time I have encountered them in so many years in the north.

arrive.

If His Majesty still wants to arrest me again, I think it is unlikely."

"Hey! Ned, you're still as boring as before!"

Robert, who was disinterested, waved his hand and stopped worrying about the problem. He continued to ask,

"I heard that there are six wolf cubs in total. Are the other five as powerful as this one?"

"No, Your Majesty. The other five are about the same size as an ordinary wild wolf."

"Well, that's no fun. I'm thirsty, Ned. Bring out your good wine."

"It's all ready, Your Majesty, please come this way!"

Watching Robert and Ned enter the main castle of Winterfell, Winterfell welcomed the butlers and servants in the queue, and immediately became busy and began to serve these distinguished nobles.
