Chapter Eighteen: Overturning the Chessboard

"What a beautiful swordsmanship. Brave Young Wolf Lord, can you let me try your swordsmanship?"

Jaime, who was standing aside to watch the battle, was angry when he saw Joffrey suffering a loss, but with a smile on his face, he invited Robb to spar.

"What? Kingslayer, you want to take advantage of the sword fight to strike Robb from behind? Like the Mad King? Hahahaha."

Before Robb could answer James' words, Robert, who was on the second floor, laughed loudly at the bottom of the school grounds.

"snort!"

When Jaime heard this annoying voice, he knew that he could not help Joffrey to vent his anger for the time being. He turned around and left the school grounds without even raising his head to look at Robert.

"Ned, it seems that King's Landing, which is full of shit and urine, can only allow me to give birth to a useless deer, but only the cold Winter City can allow you to give birth to such a ferocious wolf."

Robert on the wooden corridor waved to Robb and others who were saluting in the school grounds, then turned to Eddard beside him and said.

Ed lowered his head slightly and replied in a sincere tone: "Your Majesty, only ferocious wolves can better protect this northern territory for you."

"Hahaha, you still know how to speak!"

"I only tell the truth!"

As Robert and Eddard left on the wooden corridor, the Wolf Guards on the school field burst into laughter.

Continuing to discuss the childish scene just now, Robb smiled and answered a few words from time to time, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw Owen, one of the sixth captains of the Wolf Guard, quietly leaving the school grounds.

After dinner, Owen came to Robb's room and reported James's actions today.

Robb smiled and encouraged him, and then told Owen that as long as James did not go to the direction of the ruined tower, he should not alert the enemy, but just stare at him from a distance.

After Owen nodded to express his understanding, he bowed and left.

In the next three or four days, Robb and others exercised regularly every day, but there was no sign of Joffrey again.

On the fifth day when the king came to Winterfell, Robert, who had been wandering around with nothing to do, drinking, or communicating with prostitutes, finally became impatient.

Early in the morning, he clamored to get the news about direwolves appearing in the Wolf Forest, and forced Ed to go with him.

He also said that if he couldn't find the direwolf, it would be a hunting trip.

The nobles of the Seven Kingdoms all knew that Robert only liked three things after ascending the throne: drinking, hunting, and women.

Ed, who could not possibly dampen the king's interest, had no choice but to order his servants to prepare for the trip.

After working hard for a long time, until the sun rose to the middle position, Robert and Eddard took their personal guards and many servants and set off from the Hunter's Gate to the west of Winterfell.

Logically speaking, as a member of the Kingsguard, Jaime must accompany him.

But Cersei wanted Jaime to teach Joffrey swordsmanship because the prince failed miserably in the swordsmanship competition with the Young Wolf Lord, so she forced him to stay.

I don’t know whether Cersei wants James to teach Joffrey or teach her ‘sword skills’.

Robb, who was standing by, watched Cersei's performance with a smile on his face, and couldn't help but praise her in his heart.

Because everything went smoother than he expected!

The night is getting darker, and most people have fallen into a deep sleep.

"ah!……"

On the wall of the inner city gate of Winterfell, a night watch soldier let out a long yawn accompanied by the white mist he exhaled.

Creak! Creak!

Under the city wall, there was a sound of carriages driving from weak to strong.

The soldiers on guard duty who heard the sound immediately looked down without sleepiness.

I saw a horse driver wearing a hooded cloak driving a carriage filled with barrel-shaped goods slowly approaching.

Around the carriage, there were several Wolf Guard warriors wearing leather armor with the emblem of the Direwolf family guarding it.

"Open the door! That's my thing!"

Hearing a clear voice from behind, the guard guard turned his head and quickly saluted and replied,

"As you command, Lord Robb!"

Robb, who was taking Theon and several Wolf Guards with him, smiled and nodded, then watched the guarding soldiers turn the noose, and the inner city drawbridge door was lowered with a "crunching" sound.

"Thank you for your hard work!"

Robb thanked the vigilantes and turned back to the city wall.

"Lord Robb!"

After the carriage passed through the drawbridge gate and entered the inner city, it happened to meet Robb who was walking down the city wall. The driver of the carriage quickly pulled down his hood and saluted Robb.

"Sam, you did a great job!"

Looking at Sam, who had not been seen for more than half a month and was obviously thinner but more mature, Robb sincerely praised him.

"Thank you for your compliment. It's my honor to serve you!"

Sam, who was praised, had a little joy on his face and nodded in reply.

"You didn't leave during the delivery of the goods, right? Were there any problems in the process?"

Robb looked past Sam and towards the barrel-shaped cargo behind him.

When Sam heard Robb asking about the business, he immediately said seriously: "Since Lord Ramsay delivered these goods to me, I haven't left them at all. I just checked them before entering the city, and there are no problems at all."

"That's good! Xion, take them there! Transport them to the designated location as planned."

Seeing that Sam was doing things well, Robb nodded and said.

"yes!"

Xion nodded in agreement, with a hesitant expression on his face.

"Xion, there's no need to say more. Send someone to notify me when the arrangements are complete. When I give the signal, you will act as planned. Pay attention to safety!"

When Robb saw his expression, he knew what Theon was going to say.

After he waved his hand to stop him, after finishing his instructions, he turned and walked towards the main entrance of the main castle.

Seeing that Robb didn't give him a chance to persuade, Theon bit his lip and made up his mind, leading Sam and the Wolf Guards around to the back of the main castle.

The carriage drove slowly for about ten minutes and arrived at the back of the main castle, against the wall, where there was a circle painted with white paint.

Theon directed Sam and the Wolf Guards to move the barrel-shaped goods on the carriage near the white circle.

The Wolf Guards have long been trained to obey orders and prohibitions. Although this batch of goods has a pungent smell, they still obey the orders without any unnecessary problems.

Boom!

A barrel of goods was placed heavily on the ground by two wolf guards. The expressions of Xion and Sam suddenly changed, and they shouted in unison: "Be careful!"

The two of them looked at each other and realized that each other knew what this shipment was.

They were obtained by Ramsay through special channels...Wildfire!

Send you away, thousands of miles away...

Robb was whistling Blue Star Chinese songs as he walked in the corridor of the main castle. He tried to use this method to relieve the suppressed and irritable emotions in his heart.

Daisy, who was fully armed, walked out of the darkness of the corridor, came behind Robb and reported in a low voice: "Lord Robb, Lady Catelyn and the other young masters and ladies have all fallen asleep, and there are people waiting at the door.

Our people rotated the guards in the guest rooms of the main keep today, and all the Lannister people are here, and no one has left."

"Very well, if the wildfire doesn't kill all the Lannisters, then it will be up to us to end their lives."

Robb already has great trust in Captain Six of the Wolf Guard, whose loyalty has been tested.

They were informed of this long-planned plan three days in advance.

The six captains did not have any objections to Robb's plan. For example, Theon repeatedly advised him to think about it again.

But with Robb's firm persistence, they all chose to help Robb complete his plan.

That's right, all Robb wants to do now is... overturn the chessboard!
