Chapter 60: Joy and Bitterness

As evening approaches, the already gloomy sky becomes even darker. There are only a few people in the library at Tsugao Prefecture.

After twisting his neck, Haixing blinked his eyes hard a few times, but his eyes still felt a little dry.

"Tired?"

"Well...a little tired."

Morimi glanced at the notebook in front of her and said, "Let's finish solving these problems. That's it for today."

"Okay." Haixing nodded, squeezing the pen in his hand, feeling a little more motivated amid fatigue.

Morimi also stretched out his arms, and then looked at the clock hanging on the wall.

It’s almost time for the library to close.

She stood up and Haixing glanced at her.

"I'm going to see if there's anyone else inside."

"Ah, okay."

After passing through the bookshelf, Morimi walked to the depths of the library. As expected, there were still several students inside, one of whom even fell asleep on the table.

She pushed up her glasses, instead of chasing people away directly, she reminded them that it was getting late.

"Wow, is it already this time?"

"It's time to go back."

"Liangping...Hey, why is that guy Liangping asleep?"

Watching the last few students leave, Morimi arranged the tables and chairs and put away the books on the table.

Bang, the door to the innermost room of the library suddenly opened.

That was the librarian's room, and the middle-aged woman who walked out of the room at this time was the librarian, Eiko Yasaka.

"Ah, Morimi-san, you are still here."

"Yes."

"Thank you for your hard work. Senmi-san can go home now. Leave the rest to me."

"Okay."

Morijian lowered her head and bowed, and was about to leave, but Teacher Si Shu stopped her again.

"Is it okay?"

She was stunned for a moment, not understanding what the other party was referring to, "No... problem?"

"I'm talking about Morimi-san's state."

Yasaka Eiko smiled gently, "When you first came here in the afternoon, your face was ugly. Now you are much better."

"..."

Morimi felt her cheeks feel a little hot, "Sorry, my condition was not very good before. But now there is no problem."

"Did something happen to Morimi-san?"

"No... I'm just very concerned about some study matters and can't let them go."

Teacher Si Shu, who looked to be over forty years old, looked at her with gentle eyes, "Don't be anxious, Mori Jian-san is only in the first grade and there is still a lot of time."

Morimi also understood that she still had a lot of time, but whether she stopped or slowed down, she couldn't do it easily because she had been accustomed to running for a long time.

"Okay, I understand."

She bowed deeply and said goodbye to Teacher Si Shu.

Back outside, Haixing has completed the questions just now.

"Wrong. Wrong. Wrong."

She raised her hand and poked the notebook several times, which also broke the smile on the corners of Starfish's mouth.

"..."

Seeing her crying face, Morimi smiled a little.

"It's not a big problem. But the library is closed now, let's talk about it when we get back."

"Okay..."

After the two of them packed up their things, Morimi said hello to Yasaka Eiko again, and then left the library with Haixing.

The sky is getting darker and gloomier, and I don’t know if it will rain.

It was getting late, and there were not many people in the school. The two of them had nothing to go back to the classroom to get, so they left the school directly.

"I'll come find you in the evening." Morimi said suddenly.

Haixing nodded quickly, indicating that there was no problem.

It would be best if it could be solved before the next make-up exam tomorrow, and she didn’t want to delay it.

Even if you stay up late tonight.

"Want to stay at my house?"

"Huh——?" Senjian was so surprised that his voice was distorted, and he coughed slightly to cover it up.

Haixing came back to his senses and felt that he was a little abrupt, "No, it's nothing..."

Morimi looked at her and said that it was not impossible to stay overnight to tutor her, but Haixing himself had skipped the topic, so he did not continue.

The two of them were silent with each other's thoughts, and walked for a while. When passing by the Yu Haino Cafe, Haixing casually glanced at the roadside, and his eyes stopped.

There is a familiar motorcycle parked at the door of the cafe.

"Light's car." Morimi also noticed.

The two of them looked into the cafe. Hikari Takigawa was sitting by the window, smiling and waving to them.

"Would you like to go in and sit for a while?" Morimi looked at Haixing.

"Ah...I can do it."

After all, the bus home will arrive in about 20 minutes, and I have been waiting for it in the past.

The two walked into the cafe and sat down opposite Takigawa Hikari.

"Don't you want something to drink?" she asked, picking up the coffee and there were two empty plates in front of her.

"No, I have to catch the bus later." Morimi shook his head, and Haixing also looked away from looking at the front desk after hearing this.

"I'm waiting for Yue to finish class." Hikaru Takigawa said, "It's still a long time."

Morimi nodded.

Takigawa Yue is different from her. She has reached the critical moment of her third grade. She has to go to the study school almost every day, and her younger sister is entirely responsible for picking up and dropping off.

"Where are Yiye and Haixing? Why did you come back so late?"

"I'm studying..."

Starfish lay on the table and couldn't help but glance at the front desk. On the menu hanging inside, every dessert was quite tempting.

"Ah, by the way, Haixing still has to take a make-up exam." Hikaru Takigawa quickly remembered this matter.

She was invited to the hot springs yesterday and this morning, and she has been using this as the reason why she doesn't have the time to consider traveling at the end of the year.

"I'm on duty in the library today." Morimi said, got up and walked to the front desk.

She came back quickly, and after a while, the clerk came over with two small cakes.

"Thank you for your hard work." She pushed one of the pieces in front of the starfish.

"Eh...thank you."

Starfish was stunned for two seconds, then sat up straight again, looking at the fresh strawberries on the cake, his eyes shining.

Takigawa Hikaru held up his chin and smiled slightly, "If you only eat cake, you will be tired. How about a cup of coffee?"

"Just take the next bus. I have to wait for a while. Please stay with me."

Mori Jian hesitated for a short while and then agreed.

"If you are willing, there should be many girls willing to drink coffee with you."

"After all, it's getting late, everyone has gone back." Hikaru Takigawa smiled, stood up and left his seat, "What do you want to drink?"

"Whatever."

"Ah, I'm fine too."

She quickly ordered coffee and came back. When she sat down, she suddenly asked: "Did you bring an umbrella?"

The two were startled and looked out the window at the same time.

It hasn’t rained yet.

"Don't worry, it hasn't fallen yet."

Takigawa Hikaru smiled and said, "I just suddenly remembered that when Harumi and Shangzi passed by, they said it might rain at night."

Morijian breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the gloomy sky again, "When did they go back?"

"Well...more than half an hour ago."

Looks like I took the same bus back, Morimi thought.

Wait...

By going back so early, do you mean to completely leave the tutoring of Haixing to her?

Really irresponsible.

She dug out a small piece of cake and put it into her mouth. The silky cream melted on the tip of her tongue, and the sweetness was released, making her smile unconsciously.

"Ichiyo looks much more at ease now." Hikaru Takigawa said suddenly.

Morimi pursed his lower lip and took another spoonful of cake, "Is the previous state really that bad?"

"It's not too bad, it's just not that good. It's cold and a bit neurotic...ah, this is also very cute~"

"I heard you, don't try to fool me." She glanced at Takigawa Hikaru, but she wasn't really angry.

"It's too much pressure, that's what Chunhai said."

"Maybe."

Takigawa Hikaru leaned forward, "Why don't you go and relax?"

"Have you talked about going to Ginzan Hot Spring again?"

"No, no, it's not that far away, I mean recently." She stretched out her fingers and counted the days, "The day after tomorrow is Friday. School is over. Let's go somewhere to relax. Anyway, it's the weekend."

Morimi shook his head, "I have to go to the study school on Friday. There is an exam that day."

"Ah... are you studying for the exam at the private school? It's really hard."

Just as they were talking, their coffee was served.

Morimi stirred it a little, picked it up and took a sip.

She frowned and smiled again.

"It's so bitter."
